My Video won't save to Personal Computer when i go to share

When i got to share and there is the option to save to personal computer or upload to youtube or save to dvd, i push save to personal computer and then save as mpeg and then go to save and then a box pops up saying that adobe premiere has stoped working..... and then it closes out

You might want to give the full specs of your computer, your Project and the Assets used in that Project. More details will be better.
If the program is crashing, or hanging, then this ARTICLE might give you some clues as to why. With those clues, someone can likely help you find the cure.

It could be a number of issues, Fred.
Have you optimized your photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels, per the FAQs to the right of this forum? Oversized photos are the chief reason for these types of failures.

You also say your videos are MP4s. Are these AVCHD video or are they from a "webbie" camcorder, such as the Flip cam? Flip video uses a proprietary codec that often jams up video editors. This is also covered in our FAQs.

Finally, have you ensured that the drive you are saving your video to has adequate free space and is freshly defragmented? You should always have at least 30 gigs of free space on your drive plus 30-50 more for each hour of video you're outputting.
And, if you are exporting to a drive other than your C drive, you should ensure that the drive is formatted NTFS rather than FAT32. FAT32 drives have a file size limit that often chokes video output.

Videos on IPhone 4 won't down load to computer when syncing

I have taken a number of still pics and videos with my IPhone4 and am having trouble downloading some videos to my computer. When syncing the phone will download most of the photos and videos. I have five videos that won't download to computer.
I have tried using 2 different computers, but I still get the notice that it can't download the video and do I want to skip downloading it or try again. If you try again it still won't work. Can anyone help?

If you're just trying to drag them off the phone as shown in explorer, it will fail for very large files. You can find the videos in the backup, rename them, and use them that way. No one seems to know why the copy method fails.
On windows, find the iPhone backup folder, under something like "C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Sort the files in the folder by size. The larger ones are likely your movies. Copy them out, rename them as desired, ending in .mov
If they play, you found the right file, if not, then you grabbed the wrong file.

Computer won't save backup to computer to then update to ios 5.

So I have a Windows Vista laptop and I have the current version of itunes and I have already downloaded the iOS5 update for my iphone. But every time I try to update the phone it prompts for a backup first. This is all fine and dandy but it will start backing up and then an error comes up (-5000) saying that the back up could not be completed and if I continue with the update I will lose ALL contents of the phone. I also have a problem backing up my phone because it will start to back up but cannot complete because it cannot save the back up to the computer. I have already authorized the computer and am signed into my itunes account. If anyone with this same problem could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Video won't play and freezes computer

Whenever I try to play a video, either from the computers hard drive that I have saved or on the internet (vimeo, youtube, etc) it'll start to freeze and not play. The music/sound will play but the video freezes up and so does the computer. I thought it was just the flash player not being updated or something, but it is and still has problems. What should I do?
Also I don't think it's Safari. I've tried using firefox and chrome but same problem happens with either one. Or if I have a video on my desktop and i try to do a quick preview it'll freeze.

yes znd VLC comes with all common codecs no need to install any but is this happened with all your video files or specific video types, if this is happened with specific files please can you tell me what is the file type i will try to download one and see if it will cause the same issue with me or not

.mp4 Video Won't add on one computer does on others

I have run into a situation where certain video files. This file is an MP4. The file works fine on another computer running the 64bit version of itunes on Windows 7 and a third computer running iTunes on an iMac.
The computer with the issue is a Windows Home Server v1 machine which I use to serve up the movies to Apple TV. This has happened with other files as well. Just can't figure out why. When you try to add it to iTunes nothing happens... it just doesn't add.
File name is very simple and since it works on other machines I know it is a supported file type....

Renaming does not work for me. According to techisky, to successfully import MP4, MOV, M4V to iTunes, files must be encoded as 540 kbit/s (minimum) MPEG-4 video (H.264) with an approximately 128 kbit/s AAC audio track or encoded as 1.5 Mbit/s (minimum) MPEG-4 video (H.264) with a minimum 128 kbit/s AAC audio track. If your files do not meet the specs, they will fail to be imported to iTunes.
In order to successfully add Video MP4, MOV, M4V to iTunes, iTunes 11 as well as sync MP4 to iPod, iPhone, iPad, iPhone 5, iPod touch or iPad 3, we have better convert the MP4, MOV, M4V files to both iTunes and iOS supported MPEG-4 format.

Videos won't play until fully loaded when using Flash Player

When I try to play videos using flash player, it usually takes a very long time for them to start playing, because they do not start until the entire video is loaded. However, disabling flash player and using something like Quicktime allows me to start watching a video once enough of it has buffered.
I'm currently using Windows 7 x64, and it happens across browses (Firefox, Chrome, IE). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the latest version of Flash player several times, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

How video is played is determined from the content/server, not flash player itself. Are you seeing this happen with YouTube?

Movies downloaded to iPod touch won't play on the computer when transferred over.

The movies I bought from an iPod touch , and then transferred to my computer using iTunes will not play. They give error code 2401 on QuickTime an say stuff like invalid codec, invalid sample description, etc. I'm very upset because I paid for these movies and I should be able to watch them! I've tried recouping them to my computer but nothing so far has worked. Pleeeease help me.

Have you converted the movie file to the correct Extention to play on the PC?
Go to the info panel of the file in iTunes and make sure it ends in ".mov", ".m4v", or ".mp4" those are playable in QuickTime Player.

Authorized music won't play on my computer when it's already authorized

I recently had a HD failure, and had to mirror the drive and do a transfer to a new drive. After the transfer some of my music will not play on my machine, but WILL on my other IOS devices...
Right now it asks me to authorize the music, says my devices is already authorized and when you play the song it just repeats over and over and over.
Things I have done..
Deauthorized all machines on my itunes account
Deleted the SC Info folder
Checked to make sure it is the correct account name
Here is where I think my issue is. I had an original itunes account that had a shorter username that wasn't associated to an email account and a short password that was grandfathered in. Eventually I had to update all my information on the account to have a email address and longer password, it took forever to fix and over an hour on the phone with apple support.
At that point all my music still played, BUT every purchase I made before that does not show up now in previous purchases. In fact MOST of my purchases do not show up on my account, I THINK that is because I purchased them over my phone and pushed them out to other devices.
I just want these couple albums to play again and it is incredibly frustrating that I can't play them.

Premiere Pro won't save my project

My project has been working fine up until a while ago when I tried to save it and the loading bar came up but the yellow loader wouldn't move. It won't save my project and when I click cancel the Premiere Pro simply freezes and then I have to force quit. How do I save my project??

It sounds like you're not doing this correctly.
1. CLOSE Premiere Pro entirely. All projects. The entire Premiere Pro program. Close it down. Completely. Maybe even restart the computer to make sure that Premiere is NOT running.
2. Now, Hold down the Shift+Option keys. Make sure you hold them both down at the same time. You can hold down Shift, first, or you can hold down Option, first, but whatever you do keep holding them down. Together. Keep holding them down.
3. WHILE you're STILL holding down the Shift+Option keys, open Premiere Pro. You can open Premiere Pro any way you wish, just make sure that when you do, you're STILL HOLDING down the Shift AND Option keys. Keep them held down while Premiere opens.
When Premiere opens do you see any of your recent projects in the recent projects list? If you don't, then you've successfully trashed your preferences.

Ipod stuck in lock mode and won't connect to Windows computer

My Ipod is stuck on the lock position and won't connect to my computer when I plug it in. The hold switch moves back and forth just fine and it was working perfectly yesterday. It's the classic nano that's square. It's stuck on a song that I used as my alarm yesterday morning. I haven't turned it on since then and when I pushed the on switch, it went to the screen but then wouldn't do anything else. I've tried to hold down the menu and middle button while moving the hold switch, but it didn't work. Please help!

I fixed it! I had to switch the hold button from on to off to on again and then held the menu and middle button down at the same time. It works just fine now!

Video Won't Play in Client's Keynote Presentation

I have authored a file on my iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core i5 (OSX 10.8.3) using Keynote v5.3.
On some slides I have embedded .flv videos that play fine on my computer when I play back my Keynote.
My client is on a 2GHz Intel Core Duo (think it's a desktop) and when he plays the file back, he only gets the sound and a black box where the video should play.
What's wrong?

I was having a simliar problem wherein my colleague's keynote presentation was transferred to my Macbook Air but not all the video files were playing, instead a black box appeared with the tracker at the bottom but with no audio or video. I had to change the file to a zip file then change it back to a .key just to be able to view the "package contents". That's when i found out that the videos that didnt play were mp42. My quicktime player said that it didnt have the codec to play it so i just downloaded Flip4Mac and now everything works fine! Whew!

PDF won't save to computer

I download several financial statements in PDF each month and two of them, though enabled, will not allow themselves to be saved to my computer. They can be viewed, printed and edited but clicking on the save icon does nothing. The'Save to:' pop-up does not appear. I'm running Windows 7 x64 and have the most current version of reader (9.4.1). Has anyone seen this before???

Yes indeed, we have the same issue. After further research, I ran across this workaround that worked for me. Of course it does not solve the Adobe problem, but it does allow for saving a PDF that does not want to be saved while opened in IE (I’m using 8). Here is a copy of the workaround.
Of course the question remains – what is the problem and why do we have to use this workaround – very strange. Must be a compatibility issue with certain website, win 7, IE 8 and Adobe. The problem site for me was Chase.com. I called their online rep and they had know ideas. Hope the workaround works for you.

Just a note... I have been experiencing this problem with one of my accounts since back in Reader version 8.x. The second account only started paperless before Christmas. I was willing to put up with it from one group but two with the same problem broke the camel's back (it started to become a trend!). Hopefully someone has found the magic bullit to solve this.
