My videos keep being deleted by my premiere elements program. How do I fix this?

When I open the program and try to open my files they are all either not in existence anymore or have an offline message with a generic blank background where my video used to be. It seems to be corrupting the files so when I try to open them it comes up with a 'media offline' message.
P.s. Adobe is the WORST COMPANY for support I HAVE SEEN - it took me 10minutes to find how to actually get help and then I can't even, call or email a real person for support or get instant help - very frustrating!

This is not a programmed reply. I am not Adobe, but I am a real person who with past and current hands on experience with Premiere Elements troubleshooting. But, history cannot replace a here and now answer and success for you. So, if you are willing, let us try to resolve your Premiere Elements issues. The answers will be in the details...
1. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
2. Are you aware that you cannot move, delete, or rename the files that you import in Premiere Elements project after you have saved closed the project?
If you do, you will be greeted with "Where is the file....?" messages. Are you getting these? Remember, what you import into Premiere Elements are copies of the originals on the computer hard drive. And, the project needs to be able to trace back to those originals where they were when they were first imported in the project.
3. All that being said and being in order, there are other scenarios for what you have run into. Where do you have the project's source media stored - an external hard drive that you may or may not be plugging in or out as needed? If you are using an external hard drive for our source media storage, do you see the drive letter of the external hard drive changing spontaneously from time to time? If using a Windows computer, is that external hard drive formatted NTFS or FAT32?
4. Even though your project is having problems with its source media, can you actually see the files in the location where "they should be" on the hard drive?
Since the project has only copies of the originals, the program is not going to damage your originals.
Your answers to the above will help us to suggest a troubleshooting strategy to resolve your issues. But, details, please.

Thanks for the follow up. Sorry that the news was not better.
As for project settings (project preset)....that should be set to match the properties of the media that you import. Only one project preset per project, so, if you have more than one format, you need to set priorities for the project, and then work everything else around that prime choice. But, for now, assuming all the project content have the same format.
The program is set up to have the project select the project preset based on its analysis of the properties of the first source you drag to the Timeline. If it cannot do that for some reason, it does not give you the closest project preset for what you need, instead it gives you its default NTSC/AVCHD/Full HD 1080i30 or its PAL counterpart if you are working in a PAL setup. You can always check to see what the project set. See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if they look grayed out). You can view project settings there, but you cannot make significant changes in what has been set. So, you start a new project if the settings are not right.
The manual way for you to set the project preset....
File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings
In Change Settings, change the project preset to match the properties of your source file. OK out of there.
In the New Project dialog that you see next, change the name of the project, and make sure to have a check mark next to Force Selected Project Settings On This Project. OK out of there.
Back in the Expert workspace, import your source media using the project's Add Media/Files and Folders.
If you setup according to my suggestions in post 3 and are still have previewing issues, then I think we should look deeper into the video card/graphics card. See Device Manager/Display Adapters to verify what your computer is using. And, then go to the web site of the manufacturer of that card to determine if you have the latest driver for that card.

Since installing the new update videos keep on flickering when I stream them. How can I fix this?

Ever since I updated Firefox the videos I watch keep on flickering when I stream this. It is true of youtube, and other mediums. This is not a problem when I watch videos on Safari or Internet Explorer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox to no success and restarting my computer has not helped either.

I even tried deleting iMovie, bought a new copy and installed it, but the folder "iPhoto Videos" is still there and I can't get new clips loaded to iMovie, especially where I want them. Please help.

The iPhoto Videos do occasionally have problems. I've seen a lot of people write messages to this Discussion group describing similar problems. The only thing that seems to get around this problem is to pull the video clips out of iPhoto then import them directly into iMovie. Once the troubles with iPhoto Videos starts, I haven't yet seen anyone write back with something that they did to fix it.
The most difficult part of doing this is the movies in iPhoto might be a little difficult to track down. But you can create a smart alum that does that for you. Go to iPhoto > File Menu > New Smart Album:
Set the first pulldown menu to keyword, second to contains, then in the last box type Movie with a capital 'M'. Then click OK. This smart album more or less does as search of the whole iPhoto Library and only displays items that match your search tearm of "Movie" exactly. In that smart album then you can find the original Movies you want to move out of iPhoto and into iMovie, <CTRL> click on the Movie clip, then choose Reveal in Finder. That will jump you out of iPhoto temporarily and into the iPhoto Library folder. From there you can move that movie file to the desktop. Move all the clips you want, once they're all collected up go to iMovie and go to the File Menu > Import Files. Then point it to the desktop where you moved your video clips.
This will put all those videos into an Event folder in iMovie and bypass iPhoto Videos altogether.

DVD drives read the bottom of the disk, not the top. Smooth out the paper & try again.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? You don't. You can't control how other computers or browsers play back the footage. The best you can do is export a master file that plays great on your computer. What youTube does with it, or how other computers play it back is out of your hands.
Just like me with broadcast TV shows. I deliver the most pristine version I can to the network. But then they convert it to a digital file that they then beam out to cable and satellite providers, who then compress it again to play on their systems. And then it arrives at grandma's house and plays on her TV. I have no control how my grandma receives the signal, nor how her TV is set up. Unless I am nice and tweak things when I go visit. But I can't do this at every house that might want to watch my show.

I am also having a similar issue. I used Adobe Lightroom and my whole display goes black. Even my laptop screen and the lights on the keyboard go black. It's possible that number was used for iMessage by someone else - I think phone numbers get "recycled," if you will, and inactive numbers get re-used after a period of time.
Have your friend contact Apple and see if they can help get the number removed.

Firefox sent an email to me to confirm that I had asked the above question. The email had a link to click. When I clicked it from Firefox, nothing happened. Then I opened IE, signed into Comcast, opened the email, clicked the link, and it brought me here.

Thanks so much for your reply but that won't help in my current situation. Maybe I didn't make it clear. The latest version of Quicktime as new as it sounds doesn't support screen recording on a powermac G5 Motorola chip with OS 10.5.8 which is the highest os I can go with that machine. If I can sync the two computers so I can get the application to record from my newer computer then I'm ok. I just don't have the recording application for audio that I'm using to demo for the website on the laptop as it's about 10,000 dollars. So, I have to use the older computer to do the audio presentation and try to get the newer computer synced to it so I can use the new version that works on snow leopard to record a screen shot that will hopefully appear on my laptop instead of the old machine. Hope that makes sense. It's a bit confusing but in a nutshell it's like this:
1. I am a Pro Tools Instructor which is the state of the art application and recording device for audio and movie scoring and I have a new job where I make small snippets of tips using Pro Tools which I'd like to record with quicktime on screen as they happen
2. the best version of Quicktime Pro available for the Power Mac, OS 10.5.8 will not do screen recording on it.
3. I can use the Quicktime application from my newer laptop but I need to sync it to the old machine
4. I'm hoping but I don't know, if I do this, that I can record Pro Tools in action from my new machine buy seeing it on this laptop screen and then recording it with the new quicktime.
5. If I can sync the two computers, I'm hoping this can happen but I can't use my ethernet connection as I have it used to connect to my recording console and can't afford to buy anything new like an ethernet hub yo connect the two so I'm hoping that there's another way to connect them.

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

iChat uses different internet ports to do different tasks.
If you have the Mac Firewall On then this should allow the ports the app is Using on an Incoming basis.
These same ports also need to be allowed in your router.
If the device has it use UPnP if you can.
This allows the app to state which ports it wants to use and also for multiple devices to use the same ports.
(It is needed for iChat Screen Sharing that involves a random port that cannot be opened in other methods)
Can you also open the Connection Doctor (Video Menu of iChat) and say what it says on each tab ?

Have you done a reboot? (holding the on/off and Home button at same time until the Apple logon appears.)
Also, have you tried closing all apps? (double click Home button and swipe up with your finger.)
