My Vision Box has stopped recording!

Hi can a mod help as not having any luck with Tech Help. PLEASE!!
Having had a change around at home I have moveed my Vision Box into my bedroom.  Since moving it I have strangely lost the ability to record or even watch previously recorded programmes.  I have not changed my Vision account on any way and all I keep being told is they dont know.
Any suggestsions? 

Do you have a recording menu at all? Could be that the disk has failed. Does System Information show that the disk is present?
You won't be able to set up recordings if the network connection is not running. Is the box showing as connected when you do a broadband test?
Can you pause live TV?

    mmm well System Exec.vi simulates a DOS command window, can you run the sandbox from the cmd window using the same commands without any errors?

  • My iPhone 4S has stopped recording voice mail messages. How can I fix?

    My iPhone 4S (sprint) has stopped recording voice mail messages. The phone is 2 months old and it stopped about a month ago, but it took me several weeks to realize that there was a problem as I initially thought that callers just weren't leaving a message. I have now tried to leave myself voice messages and confirmed that it's showing up as a voice mail but failing to record it. Has anyone ever encountered this problem and if so, what is the fix?

    No iPhone records voicemail messages.  Visual voicemail is simply an interface to the carriers voicemail servers.
    Contact the carrier to troubleshoot the issue with their voicemail.

  • New Look Black BT Vision Box - Failure to record a...

    I had my original Silver BT Vision box replaced due to catastrophic failure. I was given the new black BT Vision box as a replacement. Not only does it fail to record programmes as outlined in the posting by StuartH, but it has a habit of re-booting itself.
    When setting up recordings on my original box; of there was a recording conflict, I was able to immediatly resolve the problems by being able to see immediatly which programmes I could choose to record. This is not the case with the new box. When trying to set up recordings for the following week on the new box and a conflict occurs where there are more than two programmes selected I get a red banner across the bottom of the screen telling me that "you can only record two programmes at the same time (VRC001)", without being able to easily find out via the box search system which programmes are in conflict.
    I cannot find any reference to this error code anywhere or fault message anywhere on the internet.
    Has anyone else had this problem?

  • Photo Booth has stopped recording Videos all of a sudden??

    Hi all,
    on my iMac only 6 months old, all of a sudden after working fine Photo Booth today has decided to stop recording videos.
    The app launches, green light comes on and the picture/video shows, i press record and it counts down but the counter doesnt move although the picture is still there.
    Press stop and it loads a black screen and plonks it in the library thing at the bottom of the picture..  Very odd.
    I have trashed the Preferences and this does nothing,
    Have deleted the other videos so its not a space issue?
    Wondering if anyone else has the same thing???

  • IPhone 3GS has stopped recording video - please help

    Hi - I have recently updated my iPhone to iOS 5......
    I don't know if my problem is related to that fact - but yesterday the iPhone stopped recording video.....
    It has been recording video fine recently (after the up-date) - but now when I click onto video record you can see the view from the camera lens fine......but as soon as i touch the 'record' button the screen freezes and it won't record and the screen is also frozen.......
    I have to click on the main menu button to get out of the screen.....
    Has this ever happened to anyone....?
    I must admit about 2 weeks ago I replaced the whole touch screen unit - but the video recording function (and everything else) has been working fine up until now....
    I don't know if it is important  - but the battery went completely flat (and was charged back up) just before the video stopped working....
    Any ideas or advice would be appreciated....

  • Premiere Elements 10 has stopped recording narrative.

    I have used Premiere Elements 10 to make a number of home videos on my 2013 Dell XPS 8500.  Never had a problem.  This time I am unable to record/insert Narrative into the Narrative Track.  The program recognizes the mic (which I have always used).  I check the "enable" box.  The Record Voice Narrative  box recognizes the mic and the volume meter flashes indicating it is picking up sound....but when I hit the red record button and commence to narrate....nothing shows in the Narration track and nothing is recorded in the Media.  Is there a fix?   I can add a soundtrack and the Audio from the clips work as they should.  I can see nothing amis there.

    The narration is not going to turn up on the Narration track until you have hit Stop in the Narration dialog. Is that what you are
    saying? At one point it sounded like you were expecting to see the narration clip in the Narration track while recording it was still in
    progress.
    What happens if you start a new project and create narration with the Narration Tool? Still the same narration issue?

    my mailbox has two accounts linked to it - O2 and AOL. The O2 is working fine. The AOL is not updating with new messages. The accouts on my iphone work fine

    Not sure if we are having the same issue.  A week or so back, I changed my AOL password and since then using the iPhone 4 email app, I can receive AOL mail but sending fails and is left in the outbox.  I have tried extensive troubleshooting incl. all the suggestions here.  Was at Apple store yesterday - they had another customer earlier in the day with the same problem and they couldn't figure it.  We even tried initializing the phone to factory and wiped everything out.  I then added AOL and it still failed.  None of my other email accounts have issues and AOL works fine through the mobile interface in Safari. I also spent an hour this morning with an senior Applecare person and she feels its an AOL issue.
    AOL refuses to help unless I pay them.

    I am getting increasingly frustrated with my inability to contact CS. I go through the little system of diagnosing my problem and when I finally get to the part where it says I am SOL and need to contact CS it just takes me back to the mainpage with no way to contact them and I just have to start the "diagnosis" thing again. What am I doing wrong? My zen has completely ceased turning on out of the blue, it wont even be recognized by windows.

  • Firefox 35 health report has stopped recording startup times on Feb 3-4-5. It does show last start up at end of graph. What is causing this?

    Firefox startup times are blank for Feb 3-4-5. Tried it in safe mode with no luck. All startup times are shown before those dates but not after. Does show current startup time at end of graph. Everything else on page works.

    I have had similar problem for much longer, I only get average startup time whether I select ALL or AVERAGE

    Try the standard fixes to rule out a hardware problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • Noise from BT Vision box

    I have noticed lately that a low noise is coming from my vision box (sounds like it is recording) even though I am not using it and it is on standby. Also I can feel some low heat on top of the set all of the time.
    Is this normal? (I have onlly noticed this since the BT Vision upgrade).  BT were not very helpful.
    I would appreciate any comments.

    This problem has definately not been solved!
    I have also noticed that my BT Vision box has not actually powered down in standby since the BT 'upgrade'.  It continues to whirr and buzz adding a nuisance noise which I find very disturbing, and it uses just as much electricity as when it's fully on (checked with a electricity monitor).  I have to keep switching the whole box off, which means that it renders the recording facility useless, and takes time to reload when switched on again. 
    After several conversations with BT customer help, it turns out that they are mostly clueless as to why it can no longer power down.  We've reset, rebootted and all the rest - no change.  Finally I get through to a techie who is able to tell me that the 'up'-graded software in the box will now keep it working continually in the background, even though it's on 'standby' so as to catch all the wunderbar updates that BT is sending it, and so it will never miss any of these golden streams of new data. 
    Ok, fine, I said, then bye bye BT!  Why would I want to pay for a service that only offers me inconvience, wastes my energy, adds to noise pollution. Added to which, the new EPG display is frankly rubbish and illegible.
    Can anyone recommed a good stand-alone pvr? :-)

    Hi my BT vision box has broken the HDMI port won't work, I've tried multiple cables and its defiantly not the cable or the TV that has a fault. I have just spoken to a VERY rude customer advisor who actually asked to speak to "the man" as I didn't understand what he was saying apparently. He is insisting that he needs to send out an engineer to install a new BT vision box...Is this normal practice? He said that a new one wont be able to be connected to my home hub, However, I am sure when I ordered BT vision 2 years ago (about a month after getting the Internet) that I didn't require a BT engineer to come out. I don't mind an engineer coming out but I am on nights all next week, and he will be coming between 1 and 6......Not ideal really.
    sorry for the rant. Just want to make sure its essential for the engineer to come out.

    I had a faulty box with the same HDMI problem when I joined.
    I think the engineer just makes sure it is the box at fault before he gives you a new one.
    Just think of him as a nosey postman

  • BT Vision Box is not picking up the remote

    My BT Vision box has been working fine up until now. The box is no longer picking anything up from the remote control (black).
    The remote itself is working fine, as the blue light flashes whenever you press a button, however the little blue light that is supposed to do the same on the bt vision box is not flashing so I am unable to change channels or do anything unless I sit and use the little buttons.
    I have tried resetting both the box and the remote multiple times and have now given up and turned the box off completely and nothing is working, I could really use some suggestions

    I'm not surprised that nothing is working if you have turned the box off!
    At the risk of suggesting the bleeding obvious, have you tried changing the batteries in the remote?  Prodding the Mode button is worth a try also.
    Other than that, remote controls can go wrong occasionally, as can BT Vision boxes.  If it's under warranty, or if you have an ongoing BT Vision subscription, then give the BT Vision help line a ring.  If it is the remote, or the box, you should get a free replacement.
