Hi.
My voice mail is showing a red dot as if there is a message but there isn't. I think it happened when I changed my number, there must have been a message on my old number. I have tried restoring the phone but when I reload from my backup it re-appears. Any suggestions please, it on a 5C.

I had turned off cellular data on a trip to Mexico. It said visual not available. As someone suggested, I turned off Siri, rebooted the phone, and then the messages I hadn't been able to delete showed up. I was able to delete them. Hope this helps someone.

After updating to iOS7, the mail app icon shows I have 1 unread message, however, all emails have been read. I logged in on the PC to make sure all were read. If you've updated to IOS 7(GRRRRR) on your ipod/ipad/iphone you may be seeing you have dozens of unread emails in your inbox,even though you know you haven't.
This is a famous Apple glitch that they so far refuse to cure.
All the forums stick to the same line ie "mark all read" only to find it works only for the next email to come in and it's back again. I had 10000 odd from years back.
Here's a solution,it works with Hotmail/Live Mail/Gmail and all web based emails;
Log into your webmail on a computer via your browser,create a folder called,Archive or something like that,highlight all your emails and move them to that box,your inbox will now be empty but you've lost nothing,go to your Apple object and restart it,all your emails will move to that box and now not appear on your phone-unless your last 250 haven't been read by the Apple server,these you can just mark as read on your gadget and it's sorted.

DJTayLo, Let's get your voicemail working! I noticed you metioned that your Cellular Data is off. Visual Voicemail does need to be connected to Cellular Data in order to retreive voicemails for the iPhone. This can cause the notifications to be delayed. When you turn Cellular Data on do the notifications then show correctly? Which model iPhone do you have? We'll figure this out.

i realised i have this 200mb of messages this morning & tried deleting my messages but it started to hang half way and my phone gets very hot. thn i do pressed my lock & home button to reset the phone, thn it cool atfer awhile but i got all my messges back lol..
thn i found out, after deleting all the unwanted messages, sync to itunes, thn all the messages is gone for good. hope it helps?

If that doesn't work, and you by chance have at least one gmail account, you might actually have unread emails in a folder other than the Inbox.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
3. Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
    Audio Devices window
    Side Bar
    Click the Built-in Output.
    Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.

Look towards the bottom left corner.
Above where it says Mail, if there's a message to send (which failed the first time, or other reason), there will be another box there. Click on that to open the Outbox. Delete the message to clear it.

Any suggestion to find out whats on that memory or to get it the music back, there is approximately over 1400 songs on it?

What is the memory being used by, is it Other? If it is, that means the iPod can no longer read the music, so it has put it all in "Other".
The usual fix for this is to allow the iPod to Sync with its iTunes Library. If that doesn't work, the next option is to Restore the iPod using the Restore command in iTunes, on the Device/Summary pane.
Unless you are very (very) lucky, I suspect that you are going to have to Restore your iPod. Restoring will remove everything form the iPod and put back onto it only what it finds in your iTunes Library, which you say is currently empty.
If you have to rebuild your Library after this issue, by adding all the music back again, this is going to be hard to hear, but for the future, you may want to consider always having a backup of your library. The easiset way to back the Library up is;
if the Library is small enough, burn it to a DVD, as digital files, not a "music CD".
If your Library is too large for a DVD, buy yourself an external hard drive and copy the Library onto the drive. Remember to update the backup every so often.

Who is your eMail provider, the part after the @ sign?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.

Nokia E72 voice mail icon shows even when I have n...

I have a new Nokia E72 UK edition and am with Orange UK network.
The voice mail notification icon in my E72 always shows in the bottom right of the screen even when I have no voice mail, and have deleted all the messages. This is really annoying, especially as for a while it worked fine.
I tried disabling voice mail notifications, switching the phone on and off, then enabling them again but still no joy.

This is quite a common problem on orange UK. It's actually oranges fault.
Some of the following things have been known to clear the fault:
Placing the sim into another non-orange unlocked phone, then checking the voicemail. When put back into the orange phone the icon has gone.
Calling customer services and requesting an over-the-air sim update, this nearly always solves it.
Calling or visiting an orange store and getting the sim card replaced.

My voice in waveform shows in red while my other podcasters waveforms stay centered

Hi, internet,
My friends and I started a podcast and I'm the audio engineer. I noticed that my voice waveforms are different from my fellow podcasters. Their waveforms stay centered on the line and only increase vertically (above and below) based on their volume. Mine on the other hand does that but also gets uncentered. The waveform shows horizontal red lines in the middle. See picture below. The first couple seconds is my friend talking and the rest is me.

My voice is kind of high in general so I'm guessing that's the cause but maybe I'm wrong. Am I setting my Open Broadcast Software settings incorrectly? Or my Windows 7 mic recording settings wrong?

Just to clarify, the audio track has multiple persons speaking - my friends' vocals are normal while my vocals are the ones with the DC offset issue. I'm not capturing vocals separately to save time.
I also forgot to mention that my headset was hooked into my USB keyboard (Logitech G110) via the USB port. So the chain should have been: Logitech G930 -> Wireless USB -> Logitech G110 via USB port -> On-board sound card (Realtek High Definition Audio) via USB port -> OBS set to force microphone/aux to mono, mix/aux boost 1x -> Logitech Gaming Software (latest version) -> latest drivers. However, I don't think the keyboard interface mattered because of my additional tests.
I've tried two of my old headsets now. I first tried plugging my G930's into my desktop PC directly in the back USB port. Still had the same issue.
I then tried my TekNMotion headset (cheap POS). Regular 3.5mm jacks. It worked! No redline and no need to do DC Offset Correction. No issue except I had to work around with the settings and I think the best setting was using AGC (auto gain controller) and setting the Recording to 70 percent.
I also tried an xStatic SP headset (also a POS but is compatible with Xbox 360). Output/playback is a 3.5mm cable but the microphone input is USB. Worked also. The microphone quality was decent. Probably a tiny bit better than TekNMotion. However, I dropped this headset a while back so there's a loud hissing noise coming from it. No settings would affect the hissing noise. (Gotta give this to Best Buy to recycle).
So I guess the issue must stem from the Logitech G930 headset and/or headset drivers. Yeah? No?
I also tried using the DC Offset Correction favorite on my audio. Thanks for letting me know about that Bob! The only issue with that is my voice still sounds like its passing through a filter. Is there anything technically bad about using the DC Offset Correction? I'm guessing audio professionals try to stay away from this and just use better equipment. Here's what my waveform looks like after its processed:
So I think my best bet is to start using my old $16 TekNMotion Yapster headset. It's not USB wireless like the G930's are and the ear cups are awful after wearing them for more than 10 minutes. However; they work I guess. I'll try them out for a few episodes.
Now I have to decide if I should keep switching between the $100 G930's and the TekNMotion OR just use the TekNMotion for everything I do on my computer. OR sell my G930's.

BlackBerry Z10 - voice mails not showing on Hub after software update

I have a BlackBerry Z10 smartphone with Verizon and yesterday I upgraded to the 1.0.4.1 version. Now my voice mails are gone from the Hub and I don't even get notifications whenever somebody leaves me a voice mail. I called Verizon and they were not able to help. Is anybody having this same issue? Can somebody help? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem as you - including the missing voicemail option to add to the hub. No amount of battery pulls or re-starts helped. Here is what worked for me: Go to Setup and activate Visual Voicemail. Agree to the $2.99 monthly fee. Wait 5 minutes as directed and then call yourself and leave a voicemail or two. You will notice the Visual Voicemail icon (and message indicator) now appears in the Hub. Go back to Setup and deactivate Visual Voicemail. Your regular voicemail, and test messages, should now remain. Not sure if you/I will get charged the $2.99 for 10 minutes worth of Visual Voicemail but it will be worth it to get the regular voicemail back. Hope this helps. Post back with your results.

IMovie volume meter shows much red peaking but audio waveform shows none

When I play my movie, the volume meter in iMovie shows peaking in the red (distortion) all over the place, but in the audio waveform there is not one place where it peaks into the red (or even the yellow). The whole wave is very close to the 0db line. It sounds great when I play it and still great after I export it. But, once I upload it to YouTube, there is awful distortion all over the place just like the volume meter in iMovie indicates. I can't find any place to turn down output so the volume meter doesn't peak and I don't want to turn my audio waveform down below 0db and lose all of my volume. I already tried clicking on the Normalize Clip Volume in Audio Adjustments and that didn't seem to change anything, still peaking like crazy in the volume meter. What can I do to get rid of the red peaking and distortion?
Here's a little more info for anyone who can help with my problem. I am using iMovie 11 on an i7 iMac with Lion. I turned the audio of my video all the way down and imported another audio that had been compressed in Pro Tools to show no red peaks whatsoever. Can someone please help?
