Thanks for the link ..so far I was only able to acces the utility disk, it says my disk needs repair but while attempting to repair it I get the following: Invalid record count...Any ideas on what should I try next????

That may be the new Mountain Lion "sandbox" protective software kicking in, possibly, because ML "thinks" that App doesn't meet ML's new strict security requirements. A common phenomena. If you feel the 3rd party App is really OK, you can override this feature and install the new App by holding down the Command key when you click to install the new App. That's one possibility for the error message appearing. If not, another possibility is that that Developer Preview software package requires some previous piece of software be installed prior to downloading this Preview. You would have to check the Facebbok websiste's Developer Forums for help if this is the case.

I really thought signing out would do because that works frequently for the unknown error message. Try these two things.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
Or this ... The old stand by....
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I cant get the calendar app to sync any calendars.

I just got my Droid 2 and I am trying to set up my calendars like I had in my old phone but I cant get the calendar app to sync to my only gmail account's calendars. When I try to sync it just brings me to a page that says I can sync contacts and mail but not calendars. Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong?

Just checking:
When you go to: calendar > menu > more > calendars there are no calendars listed that are "synced, visible" ?
And My Accounts > gmail "account" > Sync Calendar does not exist?
Are you logged into your gmail account? And can receive email?

Hi i bought a new mac mini just after Christmas too replase my MBP late 2008 and i love it and now i made the right choice but iv ran into a slight issue with the mac mini a cant adjust the volume via the apple wireless keyboard, apple remote or im computer settings but i can only use my 32" samsung TV to adjust the volume i would prefer not having more clutter around my desk i have tried do the cmd,alt,P,R rest but it didn't work i am using a HTMI to DVI converter and the cable is DVI to HDMI could this be the issue thanks for any help

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

When attempting to update firefox to latest version, get the error "failed unkown reason" any ideas?

Try to update to latest version as current version of firefox is almost constantly coming up saying "not responding" in upper taskbar, I figure that the update may help this but when I go to update it fails for unkown reasons. Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated as i now have to triple click things, on click to begin the freezing process, one to enter "not responding" process then finally once that finished freezing one more time to actually get where I want to go

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

IPhone 3g lost ringtones after loading the latest update. I see one of the many but cannot get the others to sync. Any ideas?

After recent update, cannot find my ringtones. Tried syncing and they don't come back. Only 1 list in the contacts to be selected. Tried to sync the ringtones by themselves and it still won't sync them back to the phone.

If the email ID you want to use is in use by someone else - then you may need a new one
The iCloud ID's are usually unique and may be of help if you set one up
