My volume isn't working.

When I press the loud button, it has a circle with a line over it meaning like no. How can I get my volume up?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • IPhone ringer/volume isn't working

    Hello everyone,
I updated last night after not updating for a very long time.  I bought a MacBook a few days ago and everything seemed fine until I realized my ringer wasn't working on my phone.  Text alerts were silent and none of my media would play volume either.  The volume is all the way up in settings and the mute button isn't on.  I have vibrate enabled and so when I get a call or text the phone vibrates but with no sound.  I also tried playing a song in itunes and it won't even play.  I used air to clean out the headphone port and now I can hear audio of youtube videos but when I play a song in itunes I hit play and nothing happens. Not even the song timer.  I'm so frustrated!!  I had restored w/ back up, reset settings, I feel like I've tried lots of things and nothing is working.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks

  • My volume isn't working on my MacBook Air. How do i fix it?

One day i tried to listen to Itunes but the volume wasnt working on my MacBook Air. I gave it to my sister and she told me to shut it off then turn it back off. When i tried to shut it off i couldnt because the mail had to close but when i tried to close it, it wouldnt work. How can i close the mail to make the volume work again?

did you put your Air to sleep with headphones attached, or closed the monitor with phones attached?
Do not sleep your Air (close the monitor with headphones attached) with headphones attached, this is known to affect some Air under Mavericks.
      * this occurrence is being looked into.
Much testing on my own and others as well show that, in some instances, this occurs in Mavericks.
If you choose you may contact Apple for an appt and diagnostics.
However as said, refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved
    Test this and re-verify

  • HT201401 Volume isn't working

I can't get the volume/ringer to adjust up or down. I was trying to watch a movie on Netfix but can't hear anything.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved.
If the above does not resolve the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

  • My volume isn't working it keeps saying headphones if I try to turn it up or down although my headphones aren't plugged in and nothing it stuck in the hole e.g fluff help please x

My phone has no volume and says headphones if I try to turn the volume up or down. My headphones aren't plugged In and there is nothing caught in the hole e.g fluff. Please help x

If you use headphones, do you get sound? Try inserting & removing your headphones a couple times to see if sound from the speaker comes back.
If not, it could be a hardware issue with the headphone jack and you need to bring the phone in to be checked out.

  • My volume isn't working except when phone calls come in.  It does work when I plug in head phones.  I don't have the option on the screen to adjust volume.

Also, the "change with buttons" is on.  If I reset everything, do I lose text messages and emails and info?  Also, I have a 4S and software is uptodate.

I had this problem yesterday also
did it get right or not yet?

  • HT1267 My iPod player in my iPhone isn't working properly it will play for a few seconds then stop and also the volume level will appear then disappear what can I do to remedy this?

My iPod player within my iPhone isn't working properly when playing videos it will start then stop after a few seconds and also the sound bar appears then disappears, and when playing music no sound is coming out when I'm on a call I can hear everything properly and also on loud speaker! What can I do to remedy this? Please help!!!

If you haven't tried it yet, I'd eliminate memory issues first.  Close all of the apps with the double tap on the home button method

  • My volume bar isn't working,how do I fix it ?

How do I get a volume bar to work again?

    Thanks for following up
Actually, I think my back up/sync is working.  However I still see the sync/back up icon on some of my online albums in the right side of the organizer screen.
I can't figure out why some online albums have the icon and some don't.  I've right clicked on each and choose "share" yet the albums situation stays the same with the same albums as before displaying the sync/back up icon.
I purchased an additional online storage, but after adding more photos and video, the amount of storage used hasn't increased.
    Am I going crazy???
    Thanks

  • Volume button dont work correctly

    Hello,
I have iPhone 4S on 5.1.1 which I bought in September last year.
Yesterday when I listen to music with my iPhone I found out the the MINUS volume button dont work correctly.
It's need to push him hard to decrease the volume. however the PLUS volume button work correctly.
In addition there is no "click" sound when I press the minus volume button.
    what should I do?
I live in ISRAEL and there isn't Apple Store here so the only solution for me is to contact the carrier which I bought the iPhone from them but they probably will require payment for the repair.

sorry but i actually need to use the volume buttons Jujusoccer11
i've tried resetting already and restoring from back up already but still has the same problem lllaass,
i'll try restoring to factory defaults now, i hope  it works

  • The sound on my iPhone isn't working I tried putting headphones in and it worked, but as soon as I take th out and the sound countinues playing the sound stops help please

The sound on my iPhone isn't working I don't understand why it was working fine an hour ago I haven't dropped it or anything simply just out it on silent... The music I was trying to listen to didn't want to make a sound when I turned it in , I put a pair of headphones in and and it worked as soon as I took it off it completely stopped the music was playing still I could see it in the top column that  the play button was on ... Then I made a call an the same thing happened I turned it on speaker and then I could hear them... The sound is completely off even tho i looked at the seettings and put the volume on high noting is sounding on its own not even when i tap the buttons... I took it off the silent before I tried this stuff I don't understand please help !!!

make sure that your head phones are not attached to the phone then use the volume buttons on the side, if when using them you see a pic of headphones on the screen, then you have some lint in the headphone jack, use some compressed air and blow it out.
If you dont see that then try to reset the phone, hold down the home and power buttons for 20 seconds or untill you see the silver apple.
If you are still having a problem restore the phone and set up as new to see if that clears it up.

  • Volume button not working on iPhone 4

My iPhone 4 volume button isn't working. Also, I can't seem to hear any music unless I plug in my headset. I've already tried plugging it in several times, rebooting it and have the newest software. Is there anything else I can do besides going to the Apple store? They're not exactly close to where I live.

  • DTMF Isn't Working When a Call is Placed Outbound from UCCX

I have a script that places an outbound call and when the caller answers the call, I do a get digit string to capture caller input and the DTMF isn't working. The caller is hearing "Are you there?".
    Here is the call flow:
    Http Trigger into a script
Script places an outbound call using the Place Call command
    The call gets answered.
Using the Get Digit String command, the caller hears the prompt that is played with get digit string.
The caller presses keys, but no keys are accepted.
Caller hears "Are you still there" and timesout.
I believe this was working at one time, but the script wasn't used and now we are revisiting this script.
I am using a H.323 gateway. IP phones using the same gateway to reach the PSTN do not have problems with DTMF. Inbound calls to the UCCX script are working when calling into a script with a Menu step.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

You are exactly right. I was hitting DP 0 since during the cut I adding a ^ in front of my voip dial-peer pointing to the CUCM cluster. Once I waited to the call volume went down, after 9pm, I was able to do a debug voip dialpeer and I was able to see that the inbound dial-peer was matching.
    Thanks for your reply.
