My weather center on my Mac dashboard has the wrong city. How do I fix this?

I have changed my address in my contacts, but it still shows a city where I used to live. How do I fix this?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that want to change the city on the Weather widget on your Dashboard. Once you select the widget, there will be an info ( i ) button, usually on the bottom right corner. Once selected you would be able to edit the information on the widget. Customizing widgets
Some widgets allow you to customize them so that they display information that applies to you. For example, add and remove your favorite stocks from the Stocks widget, or choose a time zone or city for the World Clock widget.
To customize a widget, look for an info ( i ) button. Click this button to view its settings:
Open Dashboard as described above.
Move the pointer over each widget. Widgets with settings or options have a small info button ( i ) in one corner.
Click the Info button to see the settings you can change.

Just confirming, when you have the trouble, the wifi icon is grayed-out or has all bars showing? I believe you are saying that is is grayed-out - not connected to your wireless router.
I have a Mini that started to lose connection to the Internet after the 10.7.3 update but still showed the wireless as connected. If I pinged the wireless router, I would get a quarter of the packets failing to return. The router was a Netgear that supported 802.11N connections. As a test, I set it to 802.11G (54MBps) maximum and the Mini worked fine for a week - no dropouts. And for the other devices that did support 802.11N, while there was a noticeable delay with downloads and pages loading, they still worked.
As another test, I changed the Netgear router to a Billion 802.11N model and the Mini has not had a problems since. (It is still using 802.11g). So it could be your router that is causing trouble for your Mac.
Have a look at some of the More Like This postings in the right column. There has been a number of Mac owners experiencing wifi connection issues and some very good suggestions as to how to resolve their issue.

all e-mails in my Mail 3.1 that are older than May 23 2006 has not got the right date any more. Most has the date of May 23 2006 but some has older dates again. Anyway there is something wrong and I cannot find amongst my old e-mails anymore, as they as not sorted by date because they all have the same date now. Has anyone any ideas how to change this? Unfortunately this has no affect on the problem. I have in the mean time also spoken to the Apple Support gyes. Even they couldn’t help me so fare….any one?

Try to use "software update" option
to to apple menu -> software update or system preference -> Software update
( you may try to use an old package on new system )

When I try to open CS5, I get an error message that it cannot initialize the preferences file because it has been deleted. How do I fix this?

As you open Photoshop, hold Control + Alt + Shift (or Command + Option + Shift on a Mac). That will trigger a preferences reset dialog, Photoshop will go back to default state when you do that.

I'm trying to setup my new iphone and the Apple ID it asks for is my friends old Apple ID that she no longer has access to. How can I fix this so I can use my new phone? The first step asks for my iCloud info but then asks for my friends after I agree to the terms.

The iPhone is new, has never been used. When asked if I want to set it up as a new phone, restore from an iTunes backup, or my iCloud backup I selected iCloud. It then askes for me to sign in with my Apple ID, I then agree to the terms, then it asks for me to sign into my friends Apple ID. She and I have used each other's computers in the past so I assume this is where her information is coming from. The problem is she no longer had that email or Apple ID and has no way of gaining access to it and therefor I am unable to proceed.
I suppose my question is, how can I remove her information from mine so I can setup my new phone using iCloud. Also, I have already checked my Apple ID online and nowhere on my account is her information listed.

I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device. Once this is done test the results. If the issue persists, I have included a couple troubleshooting articles that I would recommend going through.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.

This usually caused by a customised hosts file.
These need to be the only entries in your /etc/hosts file:-
# Host Database
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
127.0.0.1       localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1             localhost
fe80::1%lo0     localhost
Remove anything below these entries, then try and reconnect with GC. Once GC starts properly you can put the extra entries back in your hosts file, GC should start normally afterwards.
