My weather widget is set to California, and I am on the east coast. Way to reset it?
For some reason, my weather widget (the slide down screen) is set to Cupertino, California. Problem: I'm in Washington, D.C and there isn't a real reason for it to be in California....
I updated my phone, so it is the most up to date.
My locations services is on, and it is set to D.C, so is there any way to fix this problem?

Sure, bring up the weather widget and select it. Select "i" at the bottom right corner and turn Local Weather ON

I have an imac 2009 the disk drive is damaged and I have lost the passwords I need to reset passwords I tried booting with a macosx disk from an external hard drive but did not read the drive how else can I reset password ?

Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

If you cannot do the above then try this:
1. Boot to Safe Mode by restarting and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-S keys until a black screen with white type appears.
2. At the prompt, type the following commands pressing return after each command line:
/sbin/fsck -yf
If you do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message then repeat this command until
you do. If after seven tries you still do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message,
then the system is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.
mount -uw /
cd /private/var/db/netinfo
mv local.nidb local.old
rm ../.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -r now
The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when the new owner starts up the computer it will send him/her to the startup wizard where he/she can start a new user without reinstalling.
This last method does not actually change a password. It simply removes the user accounts and lets you create an initial admin account as if the computer were new out of the box.
How to reset the OS X password without a startup CD:
Reboot into Single-user Mode. Enter the following and press RETURN after each command line
1. Type fsck -fy
2. Type mount -uw /
3. Type passwd <username>

I just upgraded to Lion. I was trying to set up iCloud and it asked for my "login" keychain password. I've never been asked for the keychain password before. I've tried every password I can think of and nothing works. I'm normally asked for the password to my machine when upgrading software, signing on, etc. but this is different apparently. I tried the same password and it didn't work either. I read a couple of posts and they all want to take me through Applications/Utilities but that requires knowing your password in order to change it. I don't know it. Don't remember ever setting up a keychain password. Does anyone know how to change the keychain password if you don't know the keychain password???
Most of the time your Keychain password is the same as your login password. If you configured your computer to log you in automatically, you may not have used your login password in so long you forgot it.
There is no way to retrieve the "login" Keychain password, but you can reset the Keychain from the Preferences menu: select it in the Keychain Access menu and select "Reset My Default Keychain". This will create a new, empty Keychain but the old one will be saved should you ever remember its password.
The result of this is that you will have to supply passwords for everything that requires it, since without your Keychain they will no longer automatically fill themselves. However, once you supply them and store them in your new Keychain, they will be remembered. -
hi there, I bought and downloaded Adobe photoshop elemts 13 today. When trying to set it up, I was prompted for the serial number which upon being entered was deemed invalid. I know the serial number is the correct one. What is the next step, how do I contact Adobe store?!?

You have to restore it through iTunes. Do not restore from backup. Setup as new.

Just to clarify, are you getting any indications of missed calls? Is there anything in the Recent call log?
I seem to recall hearing something similar but generally, toggling Airplane mode has been the fix. Between you and Lex, you seem to have covered most of the troubleshooting basics. The only thing I can think of that you haven't done is resetting network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will lose any saved WiFi passwords.
Apologies if I've got the reset directions wrong. I don't have a device with that old an operating system. Lex, am I close? -
Ipod was locked and the computer asked for a reset which I accepted. All programs were erased and I cant see any programs in itunes. Are the programs lost forever or is there a chance to restore?

Am I missing a step?If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier. -
I have been trying all day with the same results

Really hoping to get this resolved. I just now restarted my computer and the upload sync is 268mb of 469mbit starts the install then a error msg comes up stating that Bonjour service failed to start. verify that i have sufficient priveleges to start system services.
Sometimes we can get past that one by disabling the Bonjour Service prior to the install.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

The recomended way of setting up Applleds is to have one common one for "the Stores" (iTunes, App Store & Mac App store) so that all purchases are shared, then a seperate individual account for iCloud syncing EACH
So for instance you'd have [email protected] for the stores and [email protected], [email protected] [email protected] & [email protected] for the individuals
Thats' what I've done here for myself, mrs & 4 kids.

When I bought my iPad and set up iCloud I started using iMessage but when I type a note and hit send the picture that comes up is not me but some one else that I know. I don,t even have this picture in my iPhoto's so don't know where it came from. My ID picture on my MacBook pro is correct. I went to settings, then messages but did not see a place to change the picture. Any ideas?
You set the picture in Contacts.
Open Contacts, select the person then tap Edit.
Tap the photo to change it.
