My web address box is blank. What do I need to do to display a webpage address ?

My webpage address box is blank thus, I am not able to copy web links or trace where I am on a webpage. Can you help?

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive

You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

In version 3.6 I can not open a website link from original page, I keep getting a new window that is blank and asking me to put in a web address. What has changed with the new version?

When on a page if I click on a web link I get a new window that is blank and asks me enter a web address. This started happening with the new 3.6 version. It seems to have something to do with what I choose for the location in my privacy settings as the window changes with each setting but I still cannot get to the new site. Any ideas? I have no problem with this in IE and I have to keep opening IE when I encounter the problem on Firefox which is annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I don't want firefox to save web addresses in the adress bar drop down box and I want to delete what is there now?

On the top of the screen is the box where you type a web address. The old ones are being saved in the drop down box accessed by clicking on the little arrow on the right. How do I delete the existing addresses retained there and tell it to never save addresses at any time.

I ugraded to firefox 5 - and I deleted a few programs - I must have deleted the navagation tool bar. It shows up blank i.e. no place to type in a web address.

i was deleting a few programs in an effort to delete something that was attached to firefox - and extension.
I must have deleted the part of the navigation tool bar that show a blank space for one to type in a web address or copy and paste a web address.
When I right click at the top of the page I get the navagation tool bar - a space comes and goes with the clicking unclickin of that tool bar.
I have looked all over for that but can't find it.

oops!
first, open up what you have left of the toolbar.
now, right click on it and choose 'customize'. You should see something called 'location' in the box that comes up. Click on it and drag it to where you want it on that tool bar. You can also click and drag around other items on that toolbar to replace them, or move them as needed. :)

Why won't my web address stay in the address box

if i type any web address into the address box it does not stay it disapers what should i do ??

Could you be a little more specific? What product are you using and what version of software/os are you using as well.

The opened web pages are not correct even though the address in the link roperty is correct. The web page opens a blank page and says "Done"

When I search for a web sites, it gives a list of connected web site.
If I click a particular web site, it immediately opens a blank page and says"done" at the bottom of the page. The opened web address is wrong even though the link property shows the correct address.

Publish your site to a local folder and launch it in your browser by double clicking the index.html file to see if the problem exists there.

What is the difference between https: and http: at the beginning of the web address? Does this effect security when looking onto bank accounts?

New to foxfire, and not very computer savvy. When enter search for bank account noticed the the web address came up with a http: rather than an https: as it normally does when I search from safari on MAC, or even at my PC at work. Not sure what the difference is but if it is a security thing than foxfire is no good for my use.

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions. 
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. 
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. 
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

Iphone5 OS7 pastes web address when I copy a gif or pic. WHATS UP

When I find a gif or even a picture I want to copy, I do the same thing I did before upgrading to OS7.. finger on screen until box comes up with options to save, copy , open .. blah blah then go to a message box or whereever I wanted to paste and paste the gif or photo.. In os6 I could paste the actual phot or gif.. Now with OS7 it pastes the web address instead of the gif or photo. HOW DO I GET THIS TO WORK LIKE BEFORE?

Prior to installing the OS7 on my phone, I would go to images find one I like.. press on pic or gif .. when you select it, it gives you options to save copy or whatever.. I would copy and then go to paste in a text message.. it now pastes the web address not the pic.. I am a cityville game player on facebook and for some reason today I am unable to send out blasted on the game when if fact this was never a problem. Finally I went to internet explorer and the same problem happen, but internet explorer let me know that the content was blocked. All I had to do was unblock it and that was easy and know I can blast out. However trying to remove the block from fire fox is a issue. What is the horizontal bar under the web address bar called? How to I put pages into it?

I don't know how to add my most-used pages to the bar under the web address bar.- or what that bar is called so I can't find help for it in mozilla help

I use Windows, but assuming Mac is the same, it's called the Bookmarks Toolbar, and you can add bookmarks to it by clicking the bookmarks star twice, then selecting Bookmarks Toolbar with the small arrow(s) to the right of 'Unsorted Bookmarks.' If you wish to add a folder, right click on the toolbar itself > New Folder.
