My webcam doesn't show up on video calls?

I can make video calls with voice but I can't use my webcam. I was able to use it before, but I stopped using the program for awhile. And now I've started it up, update the program but it's been giving me webcam problems and I am unable to make video calls, only regular calls.
I recently changed video card and switch from Nvidia to AMD. My current driver is the AMD Radeon R7 200 series. I'm on Skype ver.7.4.0.102 and everytime I go into the webcam setting, it just keeps loading as seen in the picture I've attached. I've also uploaded the Dxdiag diagnostic. Hopefully that helps.

I've uninstalled the new driver, reboot, reinstall the old recommended driver, reboot, and start up Skype. When I enter the Video Settings, the screen will flicker black and stayed black, basically crashing my whole PC. After waiting for a few minutes to see if it'll sort itself out, I had to give in and reboot. After restarting, I went into Skype again to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and sure enough, it crashed my PC again.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks, I hadn't tried that. But I did look and no restrictions in place. If I go to settings, usage, video it shows that it's there but still not in videos app?

Webcam controller box popping up during video call...

Hello. I am using Skype to make basic video calls. I have a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910. The webcam controller box keeps popping up during video calls w/o my doing anything. How can I get this behavior to stop? Thanks.

This a configuration issue with your Logitech software, not with Skype.
1. Launch the Logitech Webcam Software
2. Select "Preferences" in the top right-hand corner of the window
3. Click on the "General" tab
4. Uncheck "Auto-Launch Webcam Controller"
5. Click "Save"

Skype doesn't present option for video calls

I recently upgraded from Windows XP to 7. Video call is not shown as an option for a call. Video and audio test fine. Any ideas?

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit mode).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Photo stream doesn't show added photos/videos?

My wife made a shared photo stream, and I added some photos and videos to it, from my phone.
On the phone, it works. But if I try to go to the stream on iPhoto (Mountain Lion), it only shows her photos. Do I need Mavericks for it to show my photos too?

IPhoto doesn't show thumbnails of videos.

When I connect my Sony Handycam HDD, iPhoto opens and a series of video clips are shown in the Device. However these frames are blank and have no image so I can't see which video is which for selective importing. Photos taken on the Handicap appear OK.

A note on AVCHD: This format was developed for people who are shooting to edit the material afterwards. If you're shooting to edit, then iMovie or Final Cut are the correct home for this material. If you're not shooting to edit consider using one of the other video formats on your Camera.
So, in this case the workflow would be to import to iMovie, edit as required. Output the finished movie and import that to iPhoto.
As I say, if that's not what you want to do, don't shoot to edit.

Album doesn't show up on Video iPod

Album art that I obtain from Amazon shows up fine on the iPod but on songs that I've purchased through iTunes the album art shows up in bottom left corner but not on my iPod. Why is that?

There is some option you have to enable for 5th generation iPods to tell them to show album art.

IMovie doesn't show my camera videos - iPod Touch

Hi! I've been using iMovie for iTouch for quite some time already. However, when I was about to use it again today, my camera videos do not reflect in my iMovies anymore. I just noticed it now. However when you try to look at my "Camera Roll", you would that all videos are there. May I know what's wrong?

You have to convert your videos into the exact same format as the iPhone or iPad shoot.
Video needs to be in the photos app, not movies or ipod app.

Rental movie has expired but is still on iPad when I look at it in iTunes. I can't delete it and it doesn't show up in Videos app. How do I get rid of it?

I've tried unsyncing my movies but it's still there. I rented it about two months ago, and I've had 2 OS updates since then. There is a downloading icon next to it, which is strange because I watched it. I've checked the store for downloads and there is nothing waiting to be downloaded for my account.

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Skype chat window doesn't show text after a call

Video invitation doesn't show up in iChat

On my iMac G4 flat panel running OS X 10.4.11, iChat doesn't show an incoming video chat invitation. This occurs on AIM account and Bonjour. Connection Doctor shows Por Restricted. However there are no ports restricted on my DSL Q100 modem, and I do not have the OS X 104.11 firewall enabled.
When I place a video chat to my MacBook Pro (Mavericks) I get a video invitation just fine.

The camera isn't built into the iMac. I added the Logitech C270 HD Webcam a few days ago.

The firewall on the DSL modem is off as is the Mac OS X firewall on the iMac G4. If I start a video call from the iMac G4 to my MacBook Pro (Using AIM to AIM accounts) the invitation shows up on the MacBook Pro. This indicates to me that it isn't a port issue.
I tried turning on the Mac OS X firewall on the iMac G4 and adding the ports under Other. It made no difference.

I don't know if this has already been answered but the video podcasts that I have on my iPod I can find through the Top Rated Playlist but not directly through the Videos one. Does anybody know how I can put it so it shows up when you go to Videos?

Does the podcast show up under Music-->Podcasts on the iPod?
Also, open iTunes and connect your iPod. Click on the iPod when it appears in iTunes under "Source." Does the video podcast have a little TV/video icon next to it in iTunes?

All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory. The 4G only has 256 MB

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.
