My Webcam is all weird

Hi I just bought a new creative live cam and when I go onto yahoo and start my webcam it shows up but the brackground is like a desert. Is there anyway that this can be fixed?

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If you iPod is defective, within warranty and not abused, Apple will exchange it at no cost.

HELP The sound gets all weird when i use effects

ok, this may be super simple but i just can't figure it out!
i import movies and they sound great, but *whenever i have to adjust contrast or add subtitles* they sound gets all weird and you just can't understand a thing!!
the problem is that i'm working on my final presentation and i only have one more week to fnd out what's wrong... *I'M GETTING CRAZYYY* lolol

There are many who has problems with audio and mainly transitions in iMovie HD 6.
Origin: Unknown to me
Work around:
• Select video clips
• Advance menu -> Extract audio
• Now apply transitions or other effects
A Working solution
IF NOT:
Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08)
• Program miss-match: iMovie 5.0.2, up to Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK
• Program miss-match: iMovie 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match: iMovie’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
iMovie pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named: com.apple.iMovie.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.

MacBook Pro Core Duo 2GHz display has gone all weird!

I've just booted my MacBook Pro up and the initial Apple logo you see on boot up was looking all weird. Like the lines were broken up, the picture had gone kinda fuzzy.
Reaching the desktop, the OS X default background had turned in to about 6 colours. Blue, purple, green, gold, turquoise, yellow.
I've tried rebooting several times, I've even booted in to my Vista partition but none has fixed the problem.
Connecting my external display to it (30-inch Cinema Display) shows my picture perfectly fine, so I guess it's a display issue?

I've just been on the phone to their overseas technical support with the most unclear line ever.
Because my MBP is over its 90 day complimentary support, they need me to take it to a service center.
This is the third time I've had a problem with this same unit.
First time was the recall for the whining noise, second the hard drive died and now this is the third with the display.
I can't believe Apple will not offer me anything better than to bring it in to a service center.
I remember doing that when the hard drive died and without a car it was a nightmare getting there, back and there again to collect and return.
So I said, how about I pay for a courier to send it to you and for it to come back? Nope, they don't offer that service.
I hear all sorts of great stuff about Apple Customer Support, but it's a shame the majority of these stories come from the US.
Why is Apple UK so insistent on giving service that is under par with what I can get with a £300 laptop from Currys or PC World?

Fonts all weird

on my Mac Pro (2008, Quad 2.8 GHz, GeForce 8800GT, 8 GB RAM, 2 HDDs) I am experiencing a weird problem. Since two days ago, the fonts in Safaris bookmarks bar, tab bar, iCal and selected Mail items are replaced by a different font (don't exactly know which one; thinner, smaller). While this is annoying, it wouldn't be a huge problem if it didn't affect iCal. When adding a new event, I can't enter a title for the event any more. I can't even select (highlight) the default "New Event" in the title field. When I try to blindly highlight and delete the default text, I get a system error sound.
Now, I have being playing with some new fonts lately, but since I already guessed that this problem might be related to a faulty font set, I validated all fonts, deactivated all duplicates and cleared the font cache. Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck so far.
Anything else I could try? What might be the cause for this?

If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

Color is all weird. Working fine but has green and purple throughout. What does this mean?

Green throughout photos, purple all over Facebook. Working fine. Have not even had it a year. Any suggestions. I turned it off and on and reset it.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Invert Colors>Off. Try that. Or White on Black>Off.

Ipod nano and photos acting all weird ?

i have an ipod nano im having trouble with the photos...ok i know how to put them on and all...i wont to be able to put a photo on my ipod then be able to delet it off my pc and still be on my nano but its not....???? it delets the photos from my nano as soon as i delet it from my pc and if i unplug it then delet it from my pc when i add new photos to my nano the old ones are gone..omg i dont think this will make sence to you hopefully it does thank you so much for you're help if you could help me in any way i would apreciate it.

When you delete photos that are on your nano from your computer with your nano connected or connect it after deleting photos, the photos will be automatically removed from the iPod, since the photos are no longer in the folder that they were in the last time the iPod synced with the computer.
The problem with adding new photos sounds like it it caused by you selecting a new folder of photos to sync from each time you connect. For the old photos to stay on the Nano, you must use the same folder to sync new ones each time.
Just a note, I find it easiest to create a folder in "My Pictures" called something like "iPod Photo's". I then copy all the photos that I want on my iPod into this folder, and set the iPod up to sync from this folder. Photos can be deleted by simply removing the photo from this new folder, while it can still be on your computer main photo folder.

Mail went all weird; only date showed as "12/30/00" and and hour later it shut off.

okay so today my cousin told me that at 11:00 today she downloaded 2 apps: twitter and a weemee one. she was playing on normal apps after the 2 downloaded adn her ipod just randomly shut off. she thought it needed to chargfe, so she plugged it in. for the rest of the day it did not turn on and gave the apple logo. shes tried to reset it, but it hasnt worked. ive come to the conclusion that this theapps werent the problem, because me and her sister both have the same apps. my cousin who has the issue has a 3rd generation ipod touch. and she also stated the apps werernt the problem because approximately an hour before she downloaded the apps, her emails got wacked. when she clicked on the email app, it only showed a peculiar date: 12/31/00 and nothing else. she plugged it into a laptop when she got home, and it asked her if she wanted to update it, however it would lose her data. she clicked yes anyways, not sure what it had to do. she found ou that it lost all of her data, songs, apps and everything, and replaced it with the ipod 4th generation starter apps (facetime, camera, game center, etc.) and she cant use them because she doesnt have the 4th generation ipod.? howand why did this happen and how can yopu resolve it ASAP? thanks. all answers appreciated:)

Dragging from iPhoto makes the screen go all weird

Since I updated to Lion, there's a problem I have when using iPhoto in which when dragging from iPhoto onto the desktop (or anywhere else outside of iPhoto) the portions of the screen outside of iPhoto go all jittery, and are filled with random jumbled up, noisy images (which aren't always the same.) Someoe else told me that they have the same problem, I'm just wondering, how can i fix it.

The screen dims shortly before auto-lock (sleep mode) engages. To change the interval:
Settings > General > Auto-Lock > select the interval you want
Remember, the longer the delay to dim the screen, the shorter the battery life.

Behaving badly after upgrade: autofill; keychains, all weird

Yesterday, I accepted the automatic upgrade download thing-y, and now i have Mac OX 10.4.11. Since then, my computer's behaving oddly.
Specific issues:
1) autofill/automatic completion of familiar search terms in Safari: this no longer works. yes, i checked my preferences; couldn't actually see something that turns this function on and off, but it seems to be supposedly "working." i can see that the safari "history" COULD have been wiped out, and therefore it wouldn't recognize old search terms, but i've tried repeating one search term over and over, and it's no longer "learning" to recognize new ones, no longer filling in automatically as before; so it's not that. Also, my history and bookmarks are all still okay. Similarly, when i'm sending e-mails, it no longer auto-fills addresses (tho YES, my address book is still okay, just not the auto-fill thing.)
2) passwords and keychains behaving oddly. When i go into Safari, it waits about 5 minutes before asking me for my password! (as in: i start doing what i'm doing, and then five minutes later it remembers to ask me for my password.) it no longer seems able to fill in passwords saved in keychains....

I'm pretty sure i had no haxies, add-ons, or enhancements on Safari, cause I don't even know what those are. I only had whatever came with my computer when I bought it a year ago.
As far as downloading goes, nope, I just followed the instructions when automatically prompted: "do you want to upgrade now?" So I didn't do any extra steps, with backing anything up..... (When I've updated and upgraded before, following those automatic prompts, I had no problem....)

NO fan sound, at all & weird smell

Just got a, Refurb, iMac intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz, 1g ram, 160g HD w/
OS 10.4.7 from Apple Store.
Set it up last night. Running beautifully. The firewire transfer-migration assistant is simply sublime!
Is it supposed to be absolutely quiet; as quiet as my Cube?
Many complain of the opposite issue, I see.
Also, it has that smell which comes off new electronics sometimes, is that normal, and, will it go away?
It does not feel hot, although the super drive slot, is casting off a bit of heat, if I put my hand there.
Yes, I got Applecare, however, it has not arrived in the mail, yet.
Should I be concerned, or celebrate that I have a quiet one!

Adobe Story page numbers all weird...

Instead of a 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. format of numbering there are random sub numbers. Like this, 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3, 4, 5, 5A.... etc. It seems to be random and I can't get it to go away. Please help me format my script so that this doesn't happen. I have never had this problem before.

Yoga 2 Pro: Webcam not working with Skype?

Hi all, weird problem. For some reason skype cannot load the webcam built into the Yoga 2 Pro.
It works in the Windows 8 camera app just fine.
I formatted and everything and it will just not work.
IT WAS WORKING two days ago, that's why I'm so confused. I've installed the drivers on the support page and have had 0 luck.
I'm not sure if this is a permission thing or what..
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I've reinstalled the driver after uninstalling it from the device manager 10 times. I also formatted and reinstalled, but that didn't fix anything.
The camera works for the camera app + the webcam test online. I've tried rollback on the drivers, and installing earlier versions of skype with no luck.
Very strange, all it does is show the loading sign, and never loads.
This is the desktop version of skype btw. I'm going to try it with the non-dekstop version tonight and see if it works.
EDIT: Is there any other camera source besides 'Lenovo EasyCamera'? Their are two drivers on the drivers page, which one is recommended?
