i got my hard drive replaced and my webcam isnt working on the internet only offline.

My webcam is built-in and it said i need to install webcam in my laptop. when I looked at Device Manager there was no Display area for my Webcam. But i did find Cyberlink webcam is Sound, vedio and game controllers area. My webcam won't work and i already look for online solutions and did not help either. Please help me.

My external webcam wont work in IE10 but works fine on chrome

The only clue I've got is that on testmycam in IE10 the external webcam FPS rate is -1 (and the screen is blank) and the same site in Chrome the same cam FPS rate is 30 (and it's working ok)

IE uses ActiveX plugin for Flash, Chrome (and all other browsers) use a different plugin for Flash. You should right-click on the Flash object in IE and verify that it has permission to use the camera and any other relevant settings.

This is a hardware / installation issue, nothing to do with JMF.
If you don't have the webcam installation cd, then look on the manufacturers website for the drivers & software.
Get it running with the standard software first, before attempting anything with JMF.

Hp g60 webcam wont work help me!

I have an HP computor and i have had it for years, but my webcam has stopped working, if i try to Skype with someone it says no webcam found or it says i dont have a webcam plugged in, i have tried the cyberlink stuff and the youcam and it hasn't worked. When i get to the install wizard, it says its installed the opens a green screen that i cant exit, after like 15 seconds it says cant load (skudll.tll ) HELP PLEASE!

2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?
5. Have you tried another webcam?
Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore

Webcam wont work on Satellite L300

Hi all
I went to use my webcam and it wouldn't load up.
I just get a gray box with preview in it. I've tried uninstalling it then reinstall but still doing the same thing any help would be grateful.

A friend of me has a Satellite L300 too and it works perfect and I never heared about this issue.
In your case I would update the webcam driver, camera assistant software and the BIOS. I hope this can help you and if not you should reinstall your notebook as Horwarth said.

Webcam wont work on new comp

Ok so, i bought a webcam about 2 years ago (i had a really old comp then, Windows 1998)
Anyway, it worked perfectly with that pc, yet when i had a new comp (Windows Xp) my cam doesn't work with this comp, all that happens on any program (have tried loads of cam software programs), is that the screen is like fuzzy and black
why doesnt my cam work with this computor? this computor being quicker than my old one?

Webcam on Equium A300D wont work with Windows live

The camera works fine, but when try to use it as webcam on Windows live it doesnt work.
This is new problem as has worked ok with Windows live in the past, and dont know why it wont work now.

Is there some error message or something?
When you have noticed this have you tried to roll back OS to earlier time when everything was OK?
Maybe some Microsoft update is responsible for this.
Exit camera assistant software and try to use it again. I use cam with Skype and MSN but camera assistant software doesnt start with windows and is also never started.

I've Creative Webcam Live Pro, and my mic wont work. I used the installation CD(webcam CD), and I tried plugging the outlet in the mic slot, and line in slot, but it still wont work. I went to the sound recording program that is installed in the XP, and it wont work. Please someone help I need to make it work.

Make sure you plug the microphone into the mic jack on your sound card.
Depending on what audio card you have, you will need to set the recording source to microphone in the audio settings. (Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control, Options, Properties, Select Recording Source.) You might also selecting Mic Boost if there is an option.
Once the Mic is selected as the recording source, change back to playback (Volume Control, Options, Properties, Playback Control) and for now, make sure the microphone setting is not muted. Once that is done, try talking into the microphone to see if you can hear yourself over your speakers. If you can, then it's all set. If not, contact the company who makes your Sound card and verify the settings for enabling your microphone and specifically, what types of microphone and what range will work best (ex 600 ohmz)

Skype wont work with my mac os 10.5.8

afternoon, tried to download skype on my power book g4 and it after download I try to open the dm and it says wont work with this artitecture.
I am running 10.5.8 after I have download the dm the window that I should put it into the applications had like a do not enter symbol.

Webcam doesnt work on my Satellite A300-243 with Win7 32bit

I have A300-243 PSAG8E, after installed win7 my webcam DONT WORK.
it had been worked before with VISTA AND spype.
I upgraded the bios and updated drivers.
Webcam is not listed driver of win7 32bits of A300.
As it suggested in one of the forums i downloaded other driver from A500/ A350 ect non of them worked.
displayed on the screen:
"Webcam is either disabled or has failed. Please check your webcam settings" also Camera is not listed in Device Manager." imaging not listed.
I restarted and used cccleaner after my attemps and nothing succeded.
What else I could do.

I have an A 300. I just fixed this problem by replacing the cable. It took me 3 hours to disassemble the laptop (clean it) and put it back together again. Now it works like New! The spare part number of the cable is V000932480.
In my case:
- camera stopped suddenly for no apparent reason.
- I didn't upgrade my OS or anything
- it beep every time I closed the screen
- It didn't show on device manager (only at 45dg position but I couldn't do anything anyway)
- camera software crashed every time, and said; Camera not found, restart or install.
In my opinion, after some time, the wire got damaged just by the hinge, although I couldn't see anything broken.
If you have the same issue and you are used to open the laptop then don't look on SW issues... just change the cable. If you are not sure then just buy an external web cam. it wont solve the problem but it would be much easier.

Ipod is recognised under my computer but wont work in itunes,

My ipod worked fine on my old computer i dont think i had the most recent itunes but everything was working fine i had windows XP. Now i have a new laptop with windows 7 and my ipod wont work in itunes, i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 9 and even tried itunes 8 but nothing seemed to help the situation, i know its not the cable as it shows under my computer, i have taken all my music off the ipod because it asked to reformat it i have tried that twice, i get the message your ipod needs to be reformatted for windows i click ok and it opens itunes but nothing happens, iv downloaded the 64 bit itunes as it doesnt like the 32 bit one. Iv ran a diagnostic test on my ipod but cant get past the firewire detect and usb detect maybe this is because i dont have itunes installed at the moment, any suggestions please?

I had the same problem with my iPod classic. I got a new laptop that has windows 7 and downloaded itunes 9. As soon as itunes 9 was downloaded my ipod would not be recognised anymore. I tried everything like reformatting etc and nothing was helping. What I did was downloaded itunes 7 and my ipod was then recognised. Your problem may be that your software on your ipod is not up to date enough to run on itunes 9 (that was the problem with mine) and may also not be up to date enough to run on itunes 8. Try itunes 7 (or if that doesn't work even itunes 6) then once your ipod is recognised go to the summary page on your ipod and update your software to the current version. Once i did this my ipod was recognised on itunes 9 when i plugged it in and worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Mackeeper moved my files to my trash so i pulled them out of my trash to my desktop it has copied them to my desktop as well as kept them in my trash!!
im so confused and things are not working properly anymore such as my google chrome for example...all my book marks are gone BUT i can go to the google file which is out of place on my desktop and view all my bookmarks data...ALL of my files still exist but they are just out of place now which is making it hard for certain options on my computer to work...

Remove "MacKeeper" as follows.

You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. Reboot.
Failure to remove MacKeeper will result from neglecting any one of these points:
Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
Don't empty the Trash after dragging the application to it. Let MacKeeper delete itself.
Don't try to drag the MacKeeper icon in the Dock to the Trash.

If you want your computer to be usable, don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” "boosters," “extenders,” “cleaners,” "doctors," "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this stuff is useless, or worse than useless.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
The only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it.
