My wife and I both have iPhones recently when someone calls her phone mine also rings.  How do I stop this?

Both my wife and I have IPhones (5C and 4S).  For some reason for the last several months when someone calls one of our phones it rings on both phones.  It seems to have started with the OS updates but that may be a coincidence.  Is there a way to stop this?

So if I turn off IPhone Cellular calls this will eliminate the problem?  As I read it the double ringing only occurs when we are signed in and the phones are close and connected to WIFi.
Correct, I wouldn't lead you astray with a false response.  It happens because you and your wife are using the same Apple id for facetime - which you shouldn't do, either you or her will need a separate id for facetime.
