My Wife and I share an apple ID, I recently changed to an android device but can no longer recieve messages from iphone users.
I've unregistered my device online but left hers on there. I'm afraid if I delete the account she will lose all her apps. I'm at a loss now, I've talked to apple support and they assured me it would be taken care of and told me to wait 24 hours. It has been 48 and nothing has changed.
If you go into messages then press SEND AND RECEIVE you can delete the accounts there that you don't want to receive stuff from and still share Apple ID.
You might need to do this on all devices wife and I had the same problem and this worked fine

You can set up a mail address to receive your messages on your wife's phone in Settings/Messages/Receive at/

Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
To avoid your data being merged, your wife should open a new account and use it just for iCloud, she can continue to use the existing account for iTunes, so that you can continue to share your iTunes content. -

Be aware, changing your Apple ID password doesn't always work, & can take up to 45 days to work.
It's either that, or you call AppleCare & have them fix. -
i switched to android and the phone company disabled my iMessage. but about a week ago i logged into a mac with my user id and now i can no longer receive text messages from iPhone users. it gets sent to the iMessage on my mac. how can i disable it completely without wiping the phone

I just downloaded and installed Photoshop cc and the Camera Raw version is not the latest one available,so now I can no longer open files from my Nikon D750! Can I update ACR?
I have been using the new version of ACR with PS6 and have been able to open the D750 files,now I'm stuck.

Yes you should be able too, this depends on the features on the phone but i would imagine something as new as the s5 would have this feature. However this would obviously be over standard sms rather than imessage.

Call AppleCare and ask them to deactivate iMessage. It might take awhile to become effective.

TS5185 i traded in my iphone for a samsung s4 and not receiving messages from iphone users...
i dont have the iphone anymore but they whiped it at the store so that should be fine.. i went online to the apple section and deleted my iphone from the system and deleted my cell number my the imessage on my ipad and all my friends still cant send me messages from their iphones... it is still trying to send as an I message!! please help.
