You can't. When you restore from a backup it will restore everything in the backup. You might be able to find a third party app that will allow you to extract individual files from an iTunes backup, but not with an iCloud backup.

Last op system update on mine/my wife's iPad causes all video apps (Netflix/Hulu/CBS/History,etc) to NOT flow uninterrupted; constant breaks. Type problem into Safari and many folks having same problems wig Hulu and other video/TV apps crashing repeatedly! It's EXTREMELY irritating and aggravating! The apps didn't crash like that until AFTER the latest operating system update for iPads was pushed/downloaded.
Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

Typing email on ipad mini in lanscape mode
Anyone noticed that when you type an email on an iPad mini in lanscape mode, the content doesn't scroll upwards so the content that you are typing is hidden behind the keyboard? Not good at all....It's not like that on the other iPads.
Surely a bug??It doesn't matter anyway, I'm getting rid of it.

Also getting rid of my iPhone 5 and rolling back to the 4S. I actually can't believe how bad the iPhone 5 is; wifi, 3G, Bluetooth problems. I've had 2 replacements now and same problems persist. Not good. -
My (wife's) iPad Mini loses included email photo images
My (wife's) iPad Mini loses some included photo images when emails are sent to her. We use a GMail server and iOS 8.1.2 .
The email structure and text content are fine, but a series of imbedded images shows some images correctly, while some are shown as blank image shapes.
I have been able to gain access to all images in the email by going online to the GMail server and forwarding it to a Microsoft PC. Any help will be appreciated as it looks as though this might be an iPad Mini problem !!Thanks - but this is confirmed as the setting which was already "On". But thanks for trying to help.

On my wife's iPad mini I can't get past the screens accepting the software license to upgrade iOS over WiFi.
Works if I do it over iTunes on my desktop.
I get the screens to agree to the software license (twice) then it sits there until I get impatient. like 30-60 seconds. Have tried a hard boot but have to connect it to the computer each time. Latest was when I upgraded to 8.2Solving the iTunes Installation Problems in Windows

What do I do if my wifi only iPad mini is offline? Is there any way that I can locate it while being offline or turn it online remotely or possibly use the built in GPS?.
Answer would be no unless application provided such feature. Numbers does not as far as I know.
Note that even if you have complete list of formulae used in a table, identifying formulae referencing any given cell is not simple.

Thanks in advance.Sure, but only if the new iGadget is "married" to the rest by virtue of having the same AppleID. You will be able to back up, update and upgrade its contents, apps and iOS on the iTunes application on the PC.
However, if it shares the same AppleID as the rest of your toys, she will be able to read your mail and see your messages, which could eventually lead to battles royal on who said what to whom. So beware, you have been warned. -
Ios8.1 has put ipad mini into lost mode
Well this afternoon i decided to update my daughters ipad mini to the latest operating system as it was flagged up under the settings icon. This seemed to load ok and i went through the various intro screens ticked find my iphone as we have this activated on all our devices but before we could use the ipad it came up as being in lost mode and started to sound the alarm. Also and more worrying it is now asking for a 4 digit lock code which my daughter hasn,t used for months and guess what she cant remember it ! . I have gone into i cloud to turn off lost mode but the ipad is offline aarrgghhhh and i cant get it online because of the passcode. The only encouraging thing is the ipad is still recognised in itunes so i presume i will be able to do a factory reset ? .
Any ideas why it would go into lost mode after the update ?

My mom got the iPad mini for Christmas and she gave me her old iPad but she is still receiving all my messages on her mini. Is there a way to stop her from getting them?
If she is receiving your messages - then you must have somehow setup the iPad to use your iPhone number or your email address on her new iPad. How you did that is beyond me unless you set up her new Mini for her and used your Apple ID on it.
On her iPad got to - Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>uncheck your phone number or email address of that is what is being used for the contact number.
