My wife's iPad no longer accepts texts/iMessages. Worked great for over a year, now nada? Help?

1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure Messages is enabled; Settings>Messages
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo

I upgraded my 10.6.8 system to 10.7.5. ..No problem, but my practice is to connect an ESATA dock to my macpro. install to the drive in the doc, use migration assistant to migrate my data and apps.   use the os in the doc for 2 weeks, if no issue then I delete the OS partiton in my Internal System Drive, do a carbon copy clone to the internal drive.
I just did the similar to upgrade to mavericks.   I installed to a new hardrive in my docking station.   (black widow esata dock). I noticed 10.9.1 is slow stayed with 10.7.5 as my operating system. now and then I would boot 10.9.1 fire up the console utility and fix the issues that made it slow....
Now I am at the "burn in stage" mavericks is now running fast and stable.   I'll use all my apps and if it does not break with the applications I run I will eventaully cc my 10.7.5 OS drive to the docking station, file the drive away.. and take my 10.9.1 drive in the doc and cc it to my internal system drive.
I always wipe out a partion when installing a new OS. Zeroing out is a bit more thorough, you will know if your drive is junk... but it's overkill for me.
I figured repartion is ok.
I'm 2 weeks away from doing a carbon copy clone from my 10.9.1 os drive in my dock to my internal drive.
by the way.. I am running Mavericks on a 8 core macpro 2,1. I have a modified bootloader that has an arbitration layer EFI32 to/from EFI64 emulated.

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on.

I got the iPhone 5c around Christmas and it's worked fine until yesterday!!! This has been going on 2 days now. I have reset iMessage, and the network settings. I've restarted my phone and iPad and they're both completely cleared of messages. I don't know what else to do.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

I have had my ipod 4th generation for a year now and had not had any problems until now. My ipod no longer connects to my WiFi. i have reset my network settings, forgot my network and followed all of Apple's advice. Any ideas?

The WiFi isn't working on my 4th generation anymore. I have several devices connected to the WiFi which two of them are iPhone 5 that haven't had ant problems with WiFi. I have had my iPod for a year. I have tried everything and it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Macbook Pro OSX 10.8 and Epson WF 7525 will no longer print. It did until quite recently . Now I get Filter failed and RastertoescpII when i try to print ( test sheets ok) . Have tried to to uninstall and reinstall but nothing. Any advice, please.

I am not having problems with wifi but ipad will not accept my password in the secure mode. anyone else having the same problem?

I am having problems with the Ipad accepting my password in the secure mode in Wifi. I can get into wifi when the secure mode is off. This only started when I downloaded the lastest update for the Ipad. Anyone else having the same problems? I have rebooted the Rotar and still doesn't work.

Which secure mode are you using with your wireless network - WEP or WPA?
Have you tried forgetting this network on your iPad, and/or resetting network settings on your iPad? Both will require rejoining the network and the latter will require rejoining every wi-fi network your iPad has access to when returning within range of the network.

Why will my iPad no longer sign into iMessage?

I have used iMessage for a long time, but for some reason it lost the password to iMessage. When I attempt to sign back into iMessage I keep getting an error message stating that I am not connected to the internet and to check my internet settings. There is nothing wrong with my internet settings. I have even gone as far as reseting the network settings, restarted the ipad several times, and in the process of resetting my ipad. None of my other Apple devices are having imessage problems and they are all on the same Apple ID.

The not charging is normal. Most USB ports don't put out enough power to keep the ipad happy, so it says not charging.
Have you recently updated iTunes and are you on a PC? If so, try this
Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if it'll work then.
If not there are some more indepth things you can try.

There is a warning notice when the process first starts that it may shut down, and, if so, to wait some long time (30 or 60 seconds; I forgot just which) before powering up. Sometimes they reboot, and sometimes not. But in any event, you probably went through more than one reboot, and passed the firmware test.

Got both wife's ipad and iPhone working with iMessage. Got my iPhone set up but can't get my ipad to use iMessage. All settings are exactly the same.

Please help I'm at a loss. I restarted my ipad. Didn't work. I logged out and then back into iMessage. Didn't work.

If your device is frozen and unresponsive, reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My critiques of the iPad (in case Apple is listening)
1) NAME
iPad? Didn't Apple do research to see that iPad was already a skit on SNL for feminine hygiene products? Let the non-stop mocking begin. Cancer research firm Enero 6 Corp. owns the domain iPad.com. iSlate is a much cooler name and Apple owns the domain iSlate.com according to MacWorld.
2) LACK OF BUILT-IN iPHONE
If Apple wanted the iPad to be revolutionary, perhaps building the iPhone into the hardware would have made amazing jumps over other tablets and readers.
3) MARRIAGE WITH AT&T
Apple didn't learn from the disaster of marrying AT&T and are likely continuing that exceptionally short sighted relationship, limiting customer base and interest since millions simply loathe AT&T - and with great passion - and will not leave their carriers.
4) TWO SEPARATE DATA PLANS FOR iPAD/iPHONE USERS
Continuing with number three, Apple locks the iPad so that you must pay for wifi service. Is that in addition to your iPhone or part of the same package? Most likely different since AT&T charges per unit on the iPhone. Who really wants to pay for two different data plans to have an iPhone and iPad? I guess that's genius on Apple's part, they sell two items, though is there a kickback from AT&T for the data plans? Again, Apple limits their product line only to people willing to pay for one or possibly two data plans with one provider of service.
5) MISSING FEATURES
Camera/iSight, iPhone, iWork & iLife. If they're going to market this as great for travel, why not include these functional applications so people can do work while taking the commuter train from NYC to Boston or DC?

After updating my iPhone to iOS7 I no longer receive my imessages to my MacBook Air. Now my Imessage says it's my Apple email name and not my phone number. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If someone could help me out with this that would be great. I updated my iPhone to iOS7 on Wednesday September 18th, 2013. My messages always got sent to my iMessage on the MacBook before without any problems. But, eversince the update I don't get my texts sent to my computer anymore. I actually use the IMessage on my laptop to text sometimes and find it very useful. Anyway, my contact shows up on IMessage now as my email that I use for iCloud as well as my Apple Account. I just find it aggravating when I send a text from iMessage and it comes up as my email account. Do you mean when you say its locked to another carrier other then the one im using, that maybe my insurance sent me an iphone thats for a different network for example orange and not mine which is o2?

Ipad air cant sign in imessage and facetime for ios 8.1.2

Before I make this topic, I read a lot of topics about the same problem as mine and I cant fine any solution. So my problem is: after updating to 8.1.2 for my ipad air, I have to sign in my imessage and facetime again and it says: "Imessage or Facetime activation. An error occurred during activation. Try again."
What I have done is
     _ Set Date&Time automatically,
     _ Set My info to my contact number
     _ Reset network setting
     _ Sign out icloud and sign in again
     _ Sing out apple ID and sign in again
So, is there any way to fix the problem now or we have to wait from the engineers?
