My wifes gonna be upset, did I fry the MacBook?

Attempted to give wife my iPhone, upon connection to her MB iTunes informed that she needed 7.7. I ran updater and it attempted to install Safari, iTunes and a security update... That's when the beachball of death appeared, during the security update. I left it alone for about 15 minutes then I tried to "quit" updater and had a complete freeze so i did a hard reset. i am unsure of what version of OSX she has on the MB.
Now I am left with a grey screen and spinning wheel. Nothing works, I have tried "C" for the CD which I was able to get in, and "shift" for safe mode both to no avail. I can run single user and verbose for some reason but neither seem to complete correctly as I never get an actual prompt at the end. I did reset the pram and at least now I hear the start-up sound but it's of no help when the safemode deosnt actually boot. I'm at a loss, I thought I would try this before I line up at the Apple Store, only to be told I'm an idiot and write a check.
I hope to God that the information on this thing is retrievable in some fashion.
I've searched and found similar issues but nothing with a solution that I saw. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give.

Well, it seems as if the HD is fine. A family friend is a MAC Genius and NY and walked me through a simple HD test. He had me put my ear to the palm rest on the right side and listen for any abnormal noises such as clicking, etc. Pretty high tech eh?
Anyhoo, hesaid since there were no noises, which are very common in MacBook HD failures he said, that my HD was likely fine and I just had an update failure. Rather than do anything extensive over the phone or pay lots of $ taking into my local store, he walked me through pulling the User file onto my Vista laptop and I am now archive installing. If the AI fails then at least I have my wifes photos and documents already off of the Mac. I would post the file that allows reading of the HFS on a PC but I guess it might be a violation of the TOS... If you google you can find one in the event you don't have a second Mac handy like me.

This problem has been bugging me for a very long time, and have not been able to find the answer I am looking for.
My wife and I both have separate iphone's with separate iCloud accounts and all. We also both use a Macbook Pro with separate logins.
The issue is, when my wife logs in to her account on the macbook, and turns the contacts on to sync with icloud on her phone, all of my contacts are saving to her phone.
This has happened multiple times, and she says she just wont use it, but I rather have everything work together correctly.

If you share an Apple ID, both of your phone numbers should be linked to that ID. You should be able to use your phone number as well. My wife, my daughter and I all share an Apple ID for purchases, and we each text from our iOS devices using our own iPhone numbers.
When iOS 6 came out, you were able to link the phone number with your Apple ID to use for Messages and FaceTime. You will need to sign out of messages on all devices and then start the process all over again.

Infinite Loop".
I've had over 15 calls with Apple over a brand new
Macbook that in the end they decided it needed a new
Logic board and offered me a refund.
Average calls were 30 min or more and I lost a chunk

ps: just to kill my curiousity, when apple found out your logic board need to be replace, and offer you refund for your money, did they told you the reason because is was build on the "bad week".

Unable to sync over wifi - iPhone keeps searching for the macbook

When I try to sync my iPhone 4 (iOS 5) with itunes it just keeps searching for my macbook but is apparently unable to find it - it does not sync. I have set up both iTunes and the phone to sync over wifi and they are on the same wifi network, and itunes is open on the macbook. What can be wrong?

Somehow, all data (contacts, sms, photo and etc) were gone after I did that.

Did you backup your iPhone 4S before to upgrade? If you did, you may recover your contacts from it.

For iCloud, it does not retrieve the phone sim data. It can only restore your backup data. And, if you want to find your Apple ID, you should read this:

Updated to iOS 7, when my phone came on for the first time I could see I had 2 new viber messages. When I went to open viber it asked me to register my number, which I did. Once the app was open I noticed all my message history was gone.

I still have an itunes backup of my phone just before the update, I restored it to this backup, followed the same process and now viber will not even work (the access code wont sms to me and the phone call option for recieving this code also come up with some error about not being able to do this at this time).
I have been able to access viber using another phone number (I have two sims which I use as I am currently overseas in south korea, my referenced australian sim has worked previously on viber overseas and I definently do have roaming on) but again I have no message history.
So to questions:
1) Why is my activation not working under my referenced australian number?
2) Can I recover all my message history which should be saved in my itunes backup? I am willing to revert to this backup state again if needed.

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

If you have failed to make sure that any apps purchased on the iphone were transferred to your computer before updating, then you will have to redownload.
Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links.

What model computer do you have? some early trackpads will not support all gestures.
Front Row was dropped by Apple in Lion. I beleive it can be recovered from Snow Leopard, I haven't tried it myself.

Detailed:
We had a glitch with our Apple TV 3A 3-4 weeks ago and had to factory reset it (we reconfigured it with the exact same configuration than before the crash), it's now running iOS 7.0.2, I can't saw which version it ran before the problem though.
It's used in a business environment with 30+ iPads 2, half of them are updated to 8.1.1 and the other half to 8.1.2. We use the latest iTunes version.
Before the glitch that required a reset, all the iPads were detecting and mirroring when needed to the Apple TV, but now the iPads don't see the Apple TV in their list of Airplay devices anymore (but they detect various other devices inside our network).
I have to add that our Apple TV is able to navigate the movie store correctly, so I assume that it's not an internet restriction issue from our end (also, the APple TV do not see either any of the many iPads on its device-detection screen.
We successfully connected an iPhone 5S and an iPhone 6 through P2P Airplay, so it's not the issue, but when we connected the iPhones to our Wifi network (Same as all the other devices are using) the Apple TV suddenly disappeared from the choices.
Hence the reason why I inquire to the possibility that some changes were made in one of the latest iOS revisions, if so, we would require some details so we can adjust our Wifi configuration accordingly to allow the proper detection of devices.
P.S. I tried the basic troubleshooting of Airplay problems with no avail. Airplay button is displaying on the control panel, Airplay do not show the Apple TV at all (so it's not either the trick to display the Mirroring button), we also already proceeded to the suggested devices reboots, so my issue is quite more complex I believe.

When I deleted and then recreated the same account all the emails are now gone. Where did they go?

I was having problems with getting mail from my verizon email account. Suddenly stopped working when checking mail. Sending was fine. No server settings were changed. So as a last try before the nightmare of finally giving up on them I deleted the account and then set it up again. I now get the emails but all the old ones are gone. Where did they go?
I've read all the posts about the verizon smtp ssl issues but this (the missing emails that were alreadiny in thunderbird) seems to be a TB question.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

We can't know. You are not offering any system info or details on what product/ suite you are actualyl referring to by "CS6" nor do we know what update or install procedures on your system you may have done recently. There was an Acro update last week, perhaps it bombed and destroyed your Acro install...
