My wifes iPhone is listing two numbers for one contact in iMessage but she only has one number for her in her contacts.

My wife was playing with her iPhone 5 today and decided she wanted to text one of her friends. Upon typing in their name she noticed that it listed them twice and the second one had another number she hadn't put into contacts. I checked her contacts and there is only one entry for this person and only one number. It is linked to facebook but facebook's information is exactly what we already have. So the issue is, where did this other number coming from and why can't I find it anywhere in the phone to delete it..

ACtually that's the problem. The friend she was going to text doesn't have an iPhone nor has she ever had an iPhone. She has a *sighs and shakes head* Samsung galaxy s3. So that wouldn't be the problem. The only thing that I can think of is that her friend changed her number on Facebook and its like a bad cookie or something that's causing the number to show up on her phone. I also wend to the finder from her home screen on her iPhone And searched for the incorrect number and it didn't return any results.

Oh no! I am saddened to hear that you are having troubles with your MMS pictures. I know that this can be an important thing to be able to do. I appreciate you working with us to get this matter resolved as well. I see that you have spent time working with us, and I know that can also be frustrating. There are a few things we can check though. Are these to any specific numbers or all? A factory reset certainly should've resolved this. We can check into the account set up as well for that if need be. Please share any additional details that you can think of. Thanks.

Thanks to all who responded. You are all absolutely correct. However, this Ipad was a gift to my wife who was dying of cancer in the hospital and wanted some entertainment. So I started it out with her Apple ID. After she passed away I moved from Sacramento to Austin and eventually proceeded to get the Apple ID changed from my wife's to mine. Meanwhile when she was in the hospital I opened an Itunes account in my name to buy movies for her. That was the first mistake.
Then during the move to Austin I lost track of the IPAD and later found it and tried to use support but could not remember the proper ID. Later the folks at the Apple store helped me create a new and novel Apple ID that was unfortunately unlike any other.
The botom line is that I am stuck with three Apple IDs and three passwords. I am told by Apple there is nothing they can do about this as IDs cannot be changed or destroyed. I can quit using them or start a new account but when I try to do that the system keeps remembering too many things from the past and resists.
Even if I sold this Ipad and bought a new one, the system memory is still there.
I think the real problem is that destop and laptop computers are totally owned by an individual and that individual can control logins and passwords to his liking. IPADs and similar Apple products are different in that the corporation has built in their own intrusion detection schemes because of the relation to Itunes.
One thing I thought about is to open a new Itunes account pretendding to be a new customer with my regular Apple ID. Perhaps I could do the same with Apple Support.

You can sync as many devices as you like to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep it all straight by device, including separate backups.

Sorry, but you are describing many different problems all in one go. Have you changed your FaceBook account and the passwords for all your email accounts ?
You say you have changed all the passwords for all the accounts you use, including your Apple/iTunes account if you have one. If this hasn't done the trick I suggest you restore your iPad to factory conditions, set it up again from scratch, and download the things you've paid for again. You will not need to pay for things bought through your iTunes account again.

Creating a new iTunes account does not remove any purchases made on a different account.
If you want to create a new account : iTunes: How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes
Or if you will want to use it in the stores and don't want to give credit card details : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
Or if you are not currently logged into an account in game centre then you should have a 'create a new Apple id' link at the bottom of the login screen in it.

You say "our library", does that mean she does not have her own computer login? Has she ever synced to this computer/iTunes before? You must have a separate and individual id for each of your devices. For her iphone it's the telephone number. For each ipad, you must have a separate and individual id also. The ipad id's must be an e-mail address. You cannot use the same e-mail address for both i pads, and you can not use the email address that you use for Face time log in. The folks I know, create multiple e-mail accounts on Yahoo to facilitate this requirement. These individual phone numbers and e-mail addresses should be put into your calling lists for your Facetime accounts.
So if you want to call your wife's i-pad you need to have the mail address associated with it on your ipad account and visa-versa. I guess you guys will need to make sure you know who's carrying which device...This modern electronic world can be a circus at times, even though it has its rewards.

Dealing with two numbers at one contact is a problem

I managed to backup and transfer anything I want from my iphone 4 to my PC without syncing or using internet connection. All by usb cable. But the one thing that I can not manage any more is my CONTACTS. Iws trying to compy my contacts to other Nokia phone. I use 2 or more numbers for one contact. For example

Mobile: 011111111111
Mobile: 02222222222
Other: 03333333333
I synced with Windows Contacts and Outlook but always the data (contacts) on my PC shows one Mobile and Other so in my example it will show like this

So is there any way to backup/sync my all contacts with full info even custom labels ?

In my Outlook 2007, the phone number fields are specifically defined in the predefined dropdown list. I see no option to use anything but those in that dropdown list, so I'd say you must make sure that each phone number field you set up on your iPhone contacts matchs, exactly, one of those in the Outlook allowed field names. Being a typical MS program, you must rigidly use their assigned field names

Hi, DHPE.Staff, and welcome to the Community,
Unfortunately, Skype does not provide a facility to do this. While a Skype account's incoming calls, whether to the Skype account itself or a Skype Number, can be forwarded to multiple mobile or land line numbers, each Skype Number purchased for an account is considered affiliated with that account and cannot be forwarded separately.
The work-around people use is to create a new account for each Skype Number needed; that way call forwarding and caller ID can be differentiated between the numbers.
The thing to be mindful of in doing this, however, is to use different payment methods, otherwise the payment methods and accounts may be trapped inadvertently by Skype's anti-fraud filters. More details about this here:

It sounds like you are wanting to delete these audio books from the iPhone. I recommend going here in your settings:
Tap Settings > General > Usage to view the amount of space each app and its content takes on your device.

Then tap Music, and swipe left on AudioBooks and choose Delete when it appears to delete them all in one swipe.

It's not easy to switch the library a device is attached to. If possible you should backup the library from your wife's laptop and restore to an alternate location on your computer. If you can't manage that right now (note a laptop drive can often be mounted in an external drive bay to extract data from it even if the operating system is hosed) then this is an alternative approach...
You should be able to:
Backup the device to your computer.
Transfer the purchases into a library authorized for the accounts used on the device.
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer.
Restore the device from the backup.
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!
