My WiFi name and password has changed. Did someone hack my WiFi? My computer can connect but not my iPhone 5s, and the connection for my computer is full, please help.
Hello, this is my first post.
Well lately I've been experiencing some connection issues with my iPhone 5s. I was on my iPhone just watching Youtube when my iPhone 5s disconnected, I tried to connect again by going to settings> Wi-FI> and then select my network as usual, but the weird thing is that my Wi-Fi network has changed it's name to Wireless, it used to be Wireless710. Also the password has been changed.
My computer can easily connect due to the fact that it is hardwired to the Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.

Carrier is Sprint.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.
My Wireless Cable Modem Gateway is Netgear.
And now I am confused because when I open the small tab with the computer and a plug on the bottom right corner next to the speaker icon it says I'm not connected :/?! Here is a picture of it:
Note that I can not connect to it but am connected on my computer. It just disappeared on my phone and computer, I even unplugged my router waited for 20 seconds and connected it back in. Did it wok? for my computer yes again because it is hardwired, but my phone? No. Wireless 710 still won't show up. Is this a possible hack? Please help me as much as you all can, thank you very much.
Log in to the router's console with a web browser from your computer. What kind of encryption did you have on the router? If it was WEP that's about as secure as no encryption. It should be WPA or WPA2. There has been an exploit reported in Netgear and Linksys routers that allows someone connected to the router if Remote Access to the console is enabled to take it over and install spyware on it.
Is it your router, or the cable providers? If it is yours it has been hacked. If it belongs to the cable provider they may have changed it to make it more secure. Call them.
And if it has been hacked and is yours the best thing to do is to throw it away and get a new, more secure router. Or you can try reflashing the firmware by going to Netgear's site and downloading a clean copy.

Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar. -

ios8 problem. ibooks individually open up ok black print on white, but the "page" shows as dark charcoal with indistinct pale lettering and I can't read it. My home page picture appears to "bleed" through. Nowhere to fix the "page". It's crap. Please help
I'd still prefer to keep separate user accounts. I never had any issues like this before. The only time I started having a problem was when I was just trying to force empty the trash a few months ago. I came on here looking for a solution and someone posted a way to empty the trash using the terminal. Before then, I hadn't used the terminal for anything--it was just another app in my utilities folder. (None of this has anything to do with having separate user accounts. Plenty of people with kids make second and third user accounts on their laptops so that multiple people can use one laptop, having more than one user on a laptop is not very difficult.) But thank you, I'll try that out and see if it works!

A little stumped for what to do here... I had my Yahoo hacked, changed my yahoo password (Yahoo is the account configured to 'mail' on both my mac and iphone)... however since changing my password I have found I can't access my mail on either with out it asking me to enter my password. When I do, it say's 'Password error'. Sometimes it re-directs me to the actual 'Yahoo' browser saying I need to verify my account, but basically I can't use the mail function on either device now! I know you may suggest deleting the account and re-installing it to each device and I feel this would probably work as well but (and this is the tricky bit)... all my NOTES are configured through Yahoo, only some are through icloud (which is odd). All notes are about 201, icloud about 77 and the rest on Yahoo and when I go to delete the account it says it will also delete all my notes :/ Now, I am a bit of a writer, and these notes are pretty sacred to me so losing them isn't an option. I don't want to lose them. Is there anything any one of you lovely peeps can suggest. It would be much appreciated.
TamsynYes, you have encountered Activation Lock (Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support). The only way that phone will ever be usable is if the owner the phone is locked to releases it (see: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support). If you are lucky the phone is locked to the seller, so you can ask them to unlock it. If the seller is merely a middleman and the previous owner is not the seller it gets much more complicated. It's even possible that you bought a stolen phone, in which case you will never be able to use it and you should return it for a refund.

Or is my device just having issues, and it SHOULD remember me each time? It's too much hassle to go copy out my sync key each time from where I've saved it in the Notes app, so I almost never use FF Home - I just google or try to guess addresses in Safari, then bookmark them there. (Can one import bookmarks from Sync to Safari? That would help!)
Well if you want a "single signon" experience, the Workstation will need to de join to the domain :-) otherwise it will prompt for the Username and password for authentificaiton.
You can then check the save password box.
For remote user that are NOT on the domain, same behavior, you will be prompted to enter Username/Password.

ive just moved out and have just been connected to talk talk broadband today. Both my ipad mini and iphone are saying they are connected to wifi but only my iphone will connect to online services where my ipad mini won't. But if i disconnect my iphone from wifi then my ipad will work online and then when trying to connect my iphone back to wifi that won't work with online services. is this because they are both using the same apple account? though when i was living at home my mum had sky router and i was able to connect both devices with no problem. is there anyway of connecting both devices so they work online at the same time??
There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

I have not had any issues until I updated to the latest version. I have tried all the suggestions on the support web page and nothing has worked. I am hoping that this version of ITunes is the issue and that Apple will release a fixed version, Any suggestions?
Ok, here is the fix per Chad at Apple. Just did it and it worked.
Open the Control Panel
Uninstall *in this order*:
1. iTunes
2. Apple Mobile Device Driver
3. Apple App Updater
4. Bonjour
You may need to reboot after uninstalling Apple Mobile Device Driver, and ok if it still shows in the Control Panel.
Next, go to Apple.com, then download and install the most recent version of iTunes. -
Can select but not use iPhone 4 WiFi in iOS 4.3.4 & 4.3.5
After I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 4.3.4, I could select my WiFi-connection, but it would refuse to use it. The 3G or circle-icon showed instead of WiFi. In the settings, my home WiFi is slected, but it is not used. The 3G keeps showing instead. I tested it using YouTube and the browser and the speed is indeed 3G speed. I upgraded to 4.3.5: still the same problem.
I went to the settings, chose to ignore my WiFi network. I then re-scanned, chose my WiFi, just to refresh everything. It still didn't work. I restarted my phone, which also didn't solve the problem. Whenever I go to the settings, it shows the selection of my WiFi with the checkmark on the left as if I am actually using it, but it doesn't.If you update to iOS 4.3.4 or iOS 4.3.5, you will need to power-off your WiFi-router, wait a couple of seconds and power it back on. Then, your WiFi-connection will work with the iPhone 4. If you don't do that, you will not be able to use WiFi on the iPhone 4.
Rebooting the iPhone or re-selecting the WiFi-router (even after deleting the connection) will not get the job done. Only by powering off/on your router. Now, it works again. -

My ipod wont turn on and its been on the charge for ages... Please help!!!
When i try to turn on my ipod (Ipod photo 20GB) The logo appears and then after a few seconds the unhappy ipod picture comes up and underneath it says www.apple.com/support/ipod
I went to the support pages and tried restoring and resetting but nothing is working when I place it on the charge (mains) the battery with the lightening bolt comes up but it cant possibly not have enough cahrge to load because I have had it charging for ages!!
If someone can help me out here Id be extremely grateful!!To begin with my ipod will be on the charge and the sign of the battery with the lightening bolt at the side appears, then i try and reset which involves holding the menu and slecet button...but the logo doesnt appear the wewe battery flickers slightly then resumes as normal i.e. with the battery and the lightening bolt, that is all it does I cant get it to do anything else...

Apple id lost. Cannot get Access to it. Started with a mail from apple id saying that apple id and password were changed. Did not sent such a request myself. Since then no acces to apple id, not even via forgot my id site. It says that my apple id and birth date details do not match. Something is obviosly totally wrong. Got a visa card recently, is that the reason? Cannot get a new apple id with my real address as the systems says its already used. Pls help, I am vey frustated that this can happen.

Please help me, I gave my information out to a person and he has changed all my information and I can't log back in.

I bought a new laptop with Windows 7. My computer name in Windows has changed, and now, my Ipad can't find Itunes, and Itunes can't find my Ipad. [email protected]
Ok, if reinstalling iTunes as suggested above does not resolve the issue of iTunes recognising the iPad then try this -
Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, make sure your lead /connections are no faulty.
Fourthly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.

And failing all that put the device into Recovery mode. See here and note the paragraph 'If you restore from a different computer.... ' down near the bottom of the page -

As for making your new laptop your 'home computer' follow these instructions -
1. Without connecting your iPad to your computer -
A) Install iTunes / make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed.
B) Go to the Store tab and click on "Authorise This Computer".
C) Go to Edit, click on Preferences [iTunes and Preferences on Macs] and click on Devices. Put a check mark in the box next to "Prevent iPods/iPhones/iPads from syncing automatically". Click OK and close iTunes.
2. Connect your iPad to your computer -
A) Start iTunes (it will not start automatically because of the action at 1(C) above).
B) Right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select "Transfer purchases".
C) When the transfer has completed, right click on your iPad again and select "Backup".
D) When the backup has completed, left click on your iPad, click on the Apps tab, and put a check mark in the box next to "Sync Apps", and then click on "Apply" (bottom right).
E) Unless you want to always do a manual sync (as I do), go back to Edit, Preferences [iTunes and Preferences on Macs] and uncheck the box next to "Prevent your iPod.....".
F) Finally, on your iPad, check that everything is syncing properly. If not, go back to iTunes and check all settings.
NB You should not lose any apps. However, any 'purchased' missing apps can be downloaded again FOC. As with updates, this must be done with the Apple ID under which they were originally 'purchased'.
