My wifi on my ipod touch isnt working

a few days ago i was trying to change the dns on my wifi settings to get the american netflix on my ipod and somehow it has messed up the whole entire wifi on my ipod.

If not
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

My mail app on my ipod touch isnt working

my mail app isnt working and i dont know what to do, i touched my mail app and i have had it set up for at least 2 or 3 months and when i go to the mail app it says something like this account info cant be found, try going to settings and enter your account info. so i did and turned it off and came back and STILL hasn't worked, can anyone help me please?

it also says this when i open it " the mail server imap.smail.com is not responding try going to the mail,contacts,calenders in the settings" i've tried that, any suggestions?

i had left my ipod touch lying in my house and when i came back i had not moved or been touched and yet the screen flickers on and of constantly it is very dimmed (the screen) and the touchscreen does not work i dont understand.
it is still in warranty but is there a way i can fix this

THE DAY IT STOPPPED WORKING I PUT ON CHARGE LIKE ALMOST FOR A DAY AND THE NEXT DAY I USED IT FOR ABOUT 5 MINS. WHEN I LEFT IT AND CAME BACK IT TURNED OFF AGAIN AND NEITHER WAS IT DISPLAYING ANYTHING. I PUT FOR CHARGE AGAIN FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS CONTINOUSLY BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. I NEED MY PICTURES. AND I EVEN TRIED HOLDING THE HOME AND LOCK BUTTON TOGETHER FOR 10 SECONDS BUT IT JUST DOESNT RESPOND. I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP IF POSSIBLE. PLEASE RESPOND.

If you still have the warranty on this ipod, then the best way is to call Apple and explain them what is going on with your ipod, they will tell to send it to them (they will send u a box and prepaid shipping label, so you dont have to pay anything), when they receive it they will fix it or replace it*.
If you dont have a warranty on it anymore, first try to do the master reset on it, but dont forget to do the backup first.
Upgrading to a newer version of the firmware may also help.

Why is my wifi on my ipod touch 2nd gen not working?

Can someone help with the wifi on my ipod touch 2nd Gen? Yesterday it suddenly stopped connecting to anything wifi. No settings were changed. The only thing I did was go to itunes for the first time in well, forever. I always use it on my computer to go in itunes, not my ipod. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I could still get on Safari after that but I don't really remember. At some point in the evening it stopped connecting. I can't get on Safari, my mail won't refresh, it would connect to the app store, nothing. Sometimes a message does pop up saying there was a problem connecting to the server. I can't figure this out, internet on my computer is running perfectly fine. My ipod wifi is on, airplane mode off. When I go into my settings it shows my network and that it's connected. I haven't connected it or synced it to the new itunes. I actually haven't downloaded the update yet. Ipod is up to date though without the new sync. Can anyone help me out? I'm very confused.

Ever since I updated my iPod Touch 4th Gen to iOS 6, If the wifi on my iPod Touch is on nothing else on the router will connect to the internet..
It's the weirdest thing.
My Wired and WiFi computers are experiencing DNS errors, unresolved URLs and in general having difficulty connecting to the internet...
That is.... UNTIL I SHUT OFF THE WIFI ON MYiPOD 4th Gen TOUCH!!!
Then everything works fine.
I've reset my router, several times.
I've reset my Cable Moden, several times.
The problem persists until I disable the WiFi on my iPod

iTunes never displays the iPod in the left pane?
iTunes is shipped with a "helper application" called the "iPod Service" that runs and is used by iTunes to communicate with the iPod device. This service may be disabled.
If your system is Microsoft Windows XP and you are logged in as an Administrator:
1. Quit iTunes and, if your iPod is currently connected to your computer, safely remove it using the system tray application to manage removable devices.
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Manage"
4. In the "Computer Management" window, left pane (tree view), follow this path:
+Computer Management (local) > Services and Applications > Services+.
5. In the right pane, scroll down to "iPod Service" and double click it.
6. If the service is listed as "Disabled" and "Stopped," change to "Manual" and "Start" it. ("Manual" will cause it to start when iTunes starts and "Start" starts the service right now.)
7. Close "Computer Management"
8. Restart iTunes and wait for it to completely come up.
9. Reconnect your iPod.
