in My office there is a win server 2003 R2 computer, i install a printer Epson L1100 in that computer, and it successfull, and i can print using that printer from that computer..
I already share this printer, but when i try to connect the printer from my laptop using OS Win 7 Home Premium.. it has error
"Windows cannot connect to the printer. Accses denied"...
and then i try connect using other computer but same OS (win 7 Home premium) it still has same error...
i usually connect to the server computer using //(the ip of computer) , for example
//52.30.20.66 .. that is my IP server..
and than i right click in shared printer which appears in windows explorer, and i choose
Connect... but it contain error "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Accses denied"..
anyone know the solution from this error???

Got a local password/username on your Win7 ? Create the same on the 2003R2 as you seem in workgroup
net user /add useraccountname mypassword
net localgroup users useraccountname /add (I think it's users the name, you can validate to be sure) or
net localgroup administrators useraccountname /add in worst case.
nb, or add the user guess in the printer share security

Windows Server 2003 and problem with SSL connection (TLS)

We are forcing a problem with SLL/TLS connection on a machine Windows Server 2003 SP2.
We spent hours trying to solve it without any result.
SYMPTOMS
No SSL connection can be established in any application since last year, e.g.:
we cannot do any windows update, because there is a time verification over SSL on the windows update website (there is an error that the time is incorrect while it is up-to-date)
we cannot open any website in Internet Explorer over https
when we try to connect to the SQL Server (database SQL 2008 hosted on the same server) with Management Studio it fails with an error: "A connection
was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake.(provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - Could not
contact LSA)(Microsoft SQL Server)"
in a custom applications which sends requests over https we receive an error: "Could not establish trust relationship for SSL/TLS secure channel"
Everything seems to point at some SSL problem somewhere deep inside Windows.
We installed several patches, but without any result.
Can anybody help?

- In IE both SSL2.0 and TLS1.0 are checked. We tried to disable TLS1.0 - with no results.
- In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel both SSL2.0
and TLS1.0 are enabled. We also tried to dislable TLS1.0 on the Client side - with no resuts.
- In
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL EventLogging is set to 3, so it should log warnings
and errors. But we cannot find any related logs in EventLog

So I check the all security patches and other hotfixies. I checked the KB2653956 and KB958476.
But TermService do not recover the error.
And then, I delete the "EnableCertPaddingCheck" registry and reboot systems.
TermService have no error. I can use Remote Desktop Connection from other client.
After KB2893294 installed, Remote Desktop Connection cannot use from other client that "EnableCertPaddingCheck" registry set to "1".
Other Windows Server 2008 systems do not effect the KB2893294 patch. But All Windows Server 2003 systems cannot use the Remote Desktop Connections after the KB2893294 patch.Update on this issue:
The debug team has accepted the issue and has identified it as a regression. Right now they're targeting *June* as the release date for a fix. I'm attempting to educate them that customers don't just install patches the day (or even month) they're
released and that the fix needs to be moved up in priority to give a minimum of 60 days to install the patch before the time-bomb explodes.
In the meantime, a workaround has been provided that will turn off the new functionality. Note that I have not yet had a chance to test this. It entails creating a new DWORD registry entry--UseLegacyPE--and setting it to 1.

Hello. Because Windows 7 is not compatible to be installed PeopleSoft PIA, I have to install VMware Server 2 and then install Windows Server 2003, that is compatible with PIA, on the virtual machine.
But when I open Windows Server 2003 on the virtual machine, the screen of Win2K3 is very small, and its size is about 1/4 of the screen of my computer screen. This is not comfortable to work for a long time.
Does any folks know how to expand the screen of Windows Server 2003 on VMware Server 2 virtual machine so that its size covers the entire screen of my computer ?

In order to run Windows Applications, you must own the applications and, since they require Windows, you must own Windows. There are technologies like wine that will allow Windows applications to run without Windows, but they tend to be flakey at best.

Hi, I recently updated to iOS 8.0 on my Ipad mini however when i try to agree to the new terms and conditions i get an error message saying either 'Cannot connect to server' or 'Your session has timed out please try again' what can be done to resolve this problem? I recently changed my wifi password at home and now my iphone will not connect. It will not ask me for a password just says will not connect to network. Advice on how to get iphone to ask network password for wifi?
First, try tapping on the network in the Wi-Fi settings and then tap "forget this network". Then reselect the network in the main Wi-Fi settings screen and see if will then ask for a password. If not, try resetting the Network Settings in the General -> Reset section and then reconnecting to your W-iFi.

How can I download a previously downloaded purchase to my iTunes library on my laptop when the listing for the song in my library won't play because it says it cannot locate the file. My worry is that if I sync my iPad/iPhone then I will lose the track on those also!If you cannot find the file on your hard drive then once you delete the current broken entry you should be able to redownload from iTunes in the Cloud. This assumes the item in question qualifies. Note that audiobooks, digital booklets, iTunes LPs & Extras, ringtones, selected movies etc. don't.
If prompted don't hide the item. You may find that you need to close and then reopen iTunes before it will appear for download.

Problems with the shared files of Windows Server 2003 and Mac
I have some Mac computers in the domain of my LAN Network, and when I share a folder in Windows Server 2003 sometimes the Mac can not see and sometimes yes, but lasts a long time so that they can view folders. I have installed the protocol Apple Talk on the server and File Server and in the Domain Server.
The folders when users have no security users or groups are immediately with a connection AFP, but if they have not already created security can be displayed with a connection AFP, but if you can visualize a connection with SMB, but I can not work with Quark 6.0 Pro files.

These are installed on windows 2003 with mac print services running. I need to know what option i should use in osx when installing these network printers on these macs. When i go to printers folder, i chose windows printing then it prompts for the ppd file. I found it for the ir5020 but not the ir3100. I really need to test the hp laserjets in osx too. Ill post up when i test those. But that one canon (ir3100) is bothering me. They are roughly the same age and the drivers on the site don't seem to work. -
Had my Nikon D600 recently in for the updated service call. Camera works fine but Photoshop says it cannot open my RAW (NEF) files now? It worked fine before and I have done all my updates.
The only thing I can think of is if you got a replacement D610 as rumored here:

In that case, you would need the new version of Camera RAW or DNG converter as per Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras .
The other thing to check is if the files open in the Nikon native ViewNX software. If they don't it's time to call the service center. -
Event 29 and 24 that cannot receive the time source in windows server 2003
I have one server windows server 2003 R2 pop up the event log as below
Event 29
The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently
accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 15 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.
Event 24
Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller server01.xxxxx.com after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and
NtpClient will attempt to discover a new domain controller from which to synchronize.
My domain controller server01 do not have any pop up event log for the time service.
I have found some information in Mircosoft TechNet would suggest such as restart the time service with command prompt. I have tried for it. But the event id keep on to pop up for each hour.
Should I configure for the time service can read for the hardware?
Moreover, if I still read the time from DC, any configuration can be done for my server and domain controller? Thanks!Hi,

Would you please tell us that if the DC holds a role of PDC emulator? If yes, you can run “DCdiag” on the DC to check if it is advertising itself as a Time server. In addition,
please make sure that no firewall is blocking UDP port 123 and you can also ping the DC on the client computer to verify that the client computer is capable of contacting the desired source.
In addition, please make sure that the value of the
AnnounceFlags in the registry below is 10:

Please also make sure the value of
