My Win XP hard drive crashed. we were able to copy most of the files, including the iTunes folders to a USB drive. My system was reimaged with Win 7. How do I get my old iTunes folder to work with a new install of iTunes.
I tried installing itunes and then copying the old folders, but that does not work. The error msg I received was that it could not find the "source files" for the music.
Select a track with a broken link and press CTRL-I to Get Info. What is the location given on the Summary tab? Look for the actual file and note down its path.
Depending on just how you managed to import your old library it may be that iTunes is slightly confused over the folder layout and thinks your library should be in the new structure while it is, in fact, in the old one. If you can post back both paths I can confirm this and give you a set of steps to resolve everything.

So why do you suppose we get this awful warning when we connect our iPhone to a new computer that all data on the phone will be deleted if we continue? Furthermore why don't we get a further explanation as to what to do sat that point?
I can not stand warnings like this that make me feel like I have done something wrong, that somehow I may be violating my terms of service. All that legalize is not customer friendly. Apple has always impressed my more that any company with excellent personal customer service but this is not good the way they scare you when you honestly are trying to move to a new computer with your old iPhone. -

If you made a backup before you restored it you can restore your iPhone from a backup and your game data should be restored. When you connect your iPhone in iTunes you can right click on it in the sidebar and select restore from backup.

Before you did the resotore Via itunes you should of made a Back-up of your Data. But to be honest, i don't think that you would be able to get that stuff back.. Sorry mate

I JUST NEED HELPI would contact Apple under your warranty. I doubt you received a new iPod since Apple's policy is to give you a refurbished iPod.

I've tried updating with the USB cord, updating wirelessly, downloading the drivers manually, installing them manually and every concieveable combination of the above. This is getting extremely frustrating and i'm ready to toss this macbook into a wall.
TLDR;
This is my first experience with a macbook and so far i'm finding the whole experience extremely difficult and disapointing. I felt that because of the hype, that macs were top of the line but i'm seriously considering ditching the mac and heading back to pc if this issue can't be resolved. -

Are the photos saved on your phone's SD card? Try removing and reinserting the card and restarting your phone.

Without a backup, you will not be able to recover deleted contacts. You need to set up a separate iCloud account for your daughter, so you can keep your mail, contacts, calendars etc separate. -

Is there a way to get our HP Deskjet 882C to work with Snow Leopard? This printer is a workhorse, and even though it is so old, our budget and common sense say not to get rid of it.
Install the HPIJS package. This is an open source set of drivers for older printers. HP dropped support for a whole lot of printers when Snow Leopard was developed. These drivers fill the gap.
You will need to install three components - Ghostscript, Foomatic RIP and the hpijs package. They are all on the HPIJS web page. Once installed, restart your Mac, connect your printer. You will probably need to go into System Preferences > Print & Fax to select the printer and set it as your default printer. After that it works great. And it also works on Lion. -

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo stream photos will remain on your devices until deleted. When you enabled photo stream on your 5s you would have only received photos from the last 30 days. If you want to stream the older photos to your 5s, create a shared stream that includes the photos and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99). You can then either save them to the camera roll on your 5s and delete the shared stream or just leave things as they are.
