My windows vista files are corrupted

Hi, I have many problems with my laptop because my previous hard drive mess up my window files.I can't do windows restore, time will change at least once per day, I get strange noises, if i have two or more browsers up for too long, the laptop would go to blue screen and shut down and i have other issues. I try to repair my window files with a program but it didn't work. My windows vista was preinstalled in my laptop and i only made a recovery disk 8 years later. My laptop was bought in 2007. I try to use windows vista that i downloaded from a site but there were issues and the internet couldn't work. I read somewhere that labtops with preinstalled windows need to use the windows from the company that made the labtop. Is it possible that HP can sell me the same windows vista i have on my labtop?. or is it possible that HP can sell me windows 7 that can work with my labtop?. I'm afriad that my labtop would explode .  I see that HP has product recycling and If I can't get the windows recovery disk, i wish to get at least $250 for my labtop because i payed $500 something for it. Few months ago I put in a new hard drive and fan in laptop which cost about $80 something. Thanks.

Thanks.Your asking for more then they can give you will be impratical for them to do for you if you expecting more from a older system. What you should try is see if they still have REcovery media for you system to REstore your system and if not your only choice is to buy a RETAIL Windows and reinstall the system drivers from HP driver site to get it back and working. If you going back to Vista it must match what was installed not what you like to install and also there are chance your Product Key is long worn off to use as well for any Vista install which is why the REcovery Media is the best way to go if you can still get them.. Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive
