My wireless connection has stopped working.
Hi there. I've just bought an iBook G3/800 12" second hand. The lap-top came with an Airport card installed and I had no problems connecting up to the net. However, for some reason it has now stopped working and in the network panel it tells me that "Airport is connected to the network WLAN. Airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet." My Airport ID is 00:30:65:0d:2f:5b. I have Telewest Broadband (now Virgin Media) and have internet access on my desktop PC via a Webstar modem, which is connected up to a NexIP ISW054t router. I don't understand why this was working fine for over a week, and has now suddenly stopped. Can anyone please help?
and have internet access

Can you describe this in a little more detail.
Is it like this?
Internet -> Modem -> Wireless Router -> PC
Where -> is a cable?

Thinkvantage "access connections windows wireless service" has stopped working
My new computer is a T400 running Windows 7 (lenovo disk installed after purchase) .
While it still connects to the internet through the Windows(?) "open network and sharing center the Thinkvantage Technologies "access connections windows wireless service" has stopped working. It worked fine for a while (4-6 weeks).
Any ideas on how to get it started again?
Thanks
JohnThank you for your reply. I'm just not sure what "it" to uninstall or where to get the new "it" to download. Would you mind adding those details for me? I appreciate your help

"remote desktop connection has stopped working" When printing from remote desktop connection
I have been having a issue when using a windows 7 machine. I have Remote Desktop to a session on Windows2008 R2, I am using the local printer resources to redirect the printing. However everytime i try to print it crashes the remote desktop application.
Gives me "remote desktop connection has stopped working." I have 4 other computers connected and printing with no issues what so ever. This only happens when i print. It does print by the way just the application crashes.
-I have also updated the printer drivers to newest possible thru the manufactorer website. The printer is a Brother MFC-8890DW. Windows 2008 R2 is up to date for the RDS server. 3 other machines are able to Remote in and print. The user is able to print using
diffrent machines just not the Windows 7 machine.Hi,
Happy to hear that you resolved your issue. For another issue which you are facing here trying to provide some suggestion.
As you have commented that you are facing issue with second screen resolution on wide screen. The setting which I am suggesting can only applies when you are using multi-monitor Remote Desktop connections. If you are making Connections using a single
monitor do not use this setting.
So for this you can try to apply “Limit maximum display resolution” setting in group policy, where you can mention the width & height for the screen to display. The setting can be applied on below mentioned
path.
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Remote Session Environment
Meanwhile sharing article with you for more information.

Hyper v manager: "virtual machine connection has stopped working", when connect to VM
Hello,
cannot find any info on web and View problem details in VIRTUAL MACHINE CONNECTION error box:
"virtual machine connection has stopped working".
I get this error when click Connect in HV Manager. The machines are on and are accessible through RDP.
This is a lab host after restart it randomly works. I have this problem during last week.
Just interesting to know what could cause the problem and if other were seeing something like that...
Also, can connect to machine from SCVMM.
Thx.

I have the exact same issue (running windows 2008 R2 Enterprise). I can RDP to any of the VM but simply cannot connect using console. This is causing me grief since I have to create few more VMs and work with the existing VMs. Without console
access, I cannot create and do any config changes for new VMs. Can someone help. Things that I have tried so far.
1. Exported VMs
2 uninstalled .NET 4 & 3.5.
3. Hyper-v role removed.
4. Reinstalled Hyper-v, reinstalled .NET 4 & 3.5, patch current as of today.
5. Imported the VMs back and still cannot connect. Exactly same error. No errors in any logs in event viewer or Hyper-v logs.
6. Navigated to c:\Program Files\Hyper-v and manually run the VMCONNECT.EXE app (choosing the localhost/server and appropriate VM from the list) but no dice. The app just sits there for ever without any connection.
7. I am baffled and surprised no one has a solution. Tried multiple search engines.
8. The host machine is patch current as of today and there are no patches available to try. Reading through some forums, I have also installed some hotfixes with no luck.
9. Finally, I can see the little graphic for each VM changing as windows is loading or stopping in server manager for hyper-v.
Hoping someone has a solution. The error that pops up is exactly similar and no clues of the faulting module.

Satellite Pro L300 - WLAN connection has stopped working
FN+8 indicates that the wireless is on as the icon shows but suddenly tonight the connection has failed while I was browsing the internet and I can't get it back.
I have reset the modem - the laptop is currently connected by ethernet cable to the same modem with a good connection. The laptop is about 16 months old and is running Windows 7 Pro. I've updated all drivers tonight but even though it's "on" it isn't working.
Will dig out the wireless usb modem tomorrow but I'm wondering if the card has given up :(
nullYes it was listed. Oddly enough when I booted it the next day the wireless kicked in straight away. Go figure!
Talked to a friend who repairs puter's in the US and he's told me that if it happens again to reset the wireless card - preferably without the two wires disconnecting from the card. I'm used to doing hardware and software upgrades with towers - time to learn about laptops :)
Thanks for posting a reply xaver :) -
Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working
Using Build 10041. Occurs on 2 separate systems I have when trying to use Remote Desktop Connection through a 2012 R2 RDS Gateway. I am able to connect to the remote systems and access the environment for a short period prior to MSTSC.EXE
crashing. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Wireless router has stopped working
A few hours ago, my Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router stopped working, for no apparent reason. The internet connection is still working, however, when I hook up my computer to the wireless router, I can no longer receive internet, as well as when trying to acquire a wireless signal on my laptop (my laptop shows that I'm getting a signal, however, In actuality I am not).
Please help,
AlexPlease try the following if you have not done it already.
Powercycle the router by removing your power cable from the back then remove the power cable from your modem. Wait about 1minute and plug your modem back up then plug your router back up and wait about 3-5 minutes for the items to sync with each other. Now try to connect.
Good Luck,
Ttech -

so check for a printer driver update and what you can also do is to avoid mapping your printer to the Remote Desktop. Maybe this also fixes the issue.

WLAN has stopped working - Satellite X200/N00, Vista 32-bit Ultimate (SP1)
When I purchased this laptop earlier this year, everything worked pretty well with no significant issues. A few weeks ago, however, my WLAN connection stopped working -- specifically, it does not get a valid IP address from the router.
Notebook is a Satellite X200/N00 (PSPBUA). OS is 32-bit Vista Ultimate (SP1).
It was working fine right up to the point where it stopped working. The router itself still works fine -- I have used the wireless connection with a completely different laptop since having the problem on the Toshiba.
This seems to be a fairly common Vista issue, but so far everything I've tried has failed to get me anywhere.
The router is a D-Link DSL-G604T. I have updated it to the latest version of firmware, but this has not made any difference.
In Vista I have disabled IP v6.
I have installed the latest version of the Intel wireless driver (v12.1.2.1). The hardware passes all self-tests, the only thing that fails is obtaining the IP address.
I don't know why the wireless connection just stopped working -- as best as I can recall, I had not installed any new software or updates just prior to it stopping working. It doesn't seem to be a hardware fault.
One thing I have not yet done is test the connection with a completely different wireless router (e.g., at a public access point).
That may be instructive, but not really useful, since I need to get it working with the router I have!
Any thoughts?Hi
There are many different reasons why the IP address cannot be obtained.
In first case you should check if your firewall is disabled or doesnt prevent the IP address from receiving.
Secondly you should check if the TCP/IP protocol was set to automatic
You can find such settings in TCP\IP protocol properties.
Last but not least I would recommend disabling all security settings on the router and trying to establish the WLan connection.
Please check if the Mac address filtering was disabled, disable the WLan encryption, and check if the right SSID is in use.
If it will be possible to establish the Wlan connection then you could enable step by step the single WLan security settings on the router.

Actiontec wireless has stopped working
The wireless on our Actiontec router has stopped working. "Radio enabled" is shown as NO. Enabling it works, but as soon as we reset security, it turns itself off.
We've had a number of power outages, with the result that our router has gotten increasingly flakey, especially the wireless. I called tech support and he suggested doing a hard reset, which seemed to have fixed everything. However, following the mose recent power outage (yes, we get a lot of them), the hard reset procedure is no longer fixing the problem.
Any suggestions?I lost my Wireless connection on Tuesday (2/28) around 10:30am. Ethernet connection is working fine. I called tech support and after about an hour of him working on my system he came to the conclusion that the router needed replaced. I received my new router Thursday afternoon (3/1) Installed the router per the instructions. Still no wireless connection. Ethernet is working fine but no wireless on my 2 laptops or my IPad. I called tech support again this afternoon 3/2 and after about 45 minutes of the tech taking over my computer he comes to the conclusion that the router need replaced. So Router number 3 is on the way. I will update the forum once the new router arrives.

I am trying to move a pdf file onto my iPad2, and it says that the device is not connected or has stopped working. But Windows 7 recognizes the device and I can see my pictures. Same thing happens when I try to put music onto the iPad.
When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up. -

ITunes has stopped working when connecting new iPhone 6
I am getting what seems to be a common error "iTunes has stopped working" which I have tried many different tricks for fixing that I have found online, but nothing seems to work.
I have been using an iPhone 5 and backing up and syncing with no problems, the only problem being when I try to access the iTunes Store. This didn't bother me too much as I can access the store on my phone and everything else on iTunes worked fine.
But today I bought an iPhone 6 and as soon as I connect it (whether iTunes is already open or opens when I plug the iPhone in) I get the above error message and iTunes closes. So I am unable to sync my back up on to the new phone or use it at all.
Can anyone help with a recent fix for this, or a way around it?
I have tried copying recommended files into the correct folder, re-installing, opening as administrator and many other things I have come across online, but majority of these seem to be from a year or more ago. I am using Windows 7 on a PC, with the latest iTunes that I have just re-installed (again).
Any help would be really appreciated!Same here....also when I restart iTunes afterward, all my devices don't even show up in iTunes at all until after you restart the computer
Even then, the problem persists. And I've tried all kinds of troubleshooting techniques
