When I test of try to print anything, the Mac shows a print complete, but the printer doesnt print.

I'm on a Windows 7 right now so can't give you anything further, not being on the same OS. Portable Devices should be showing and is not with your 8.1 system or Mass Storage. The driver to recognize the phone comes from Microsoft not the phone or Verizon as most people think. I'd do a internet search on the Samsung 5 with Windows 8.1 or perhaps someone may show up with info. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Printer deskjet f4200 will not communicate with computers

OK so I am at a loss I know the communication is the issue. I used this without problem from install till I had to have the computer crashed. Any help ? I have tried installing twice and the doc numerous times.

The appearance of the printer in the Default view of the Add printer window relies on a protocol called Bonjour. There have been quite a few users who upgraded to Yosemite only to find that their wifi printer is no longer visible. Until Apple resolves this issue you can add your printer using the LPD protocol. To do so you will need to determine the IP address being used by the MX890. This can be done via the touch panel under Device Settings > Network Settings.
Once you learn the IP address then on the Mac you can click to add the printer and select the IP icon. Here you can enter the IP address, set the Protocol to Line Printer Deamon and leave the Queue field blank. Then change the name to Canon MX890 and in the Use menu, browse for the Canon MX890 series driver. Then click Add to complete the printer creation.

It says it is ready but when I go to print a picture (4x6 or 5x7) that printer is not available. I downloaded an updated
driver but no change.

Airport time capsule will not communicate with apple tv

I have just purchased the new AIRPORT TIME CAPSULE...it will not communicate with my APPLE TV..

Is the Time Capsule the only wireless router in your current network configuration? That is, is it connected directly to an Internet modem (and not another router) via Ethernet? Is the Apple TV in the same room, different room, or different floor from the Time Capsule?

HELP! My hp probook computer(win 7, 64 bit) will not communicate (wireless) with my photosmart c 6180 printer. I did have this problem about 6 months ago, and here it is again! I have uninstalled my printer driver,then reinstalled, turned off, and turned on all three , computer, printer, and router (verizon). I tried the link that uses scan doc to determine the problem, but that too cannot find my printer. Also reinstalled the WEP in my printer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I saw your post about the wireless communication issues your Photosmart C6180 is having when connecting to your computer. I understand you have tried recycling the network devices, and uninstalled and reinstalled the printer to no avail.

HP P1102w Wireless Printer will not pair with a Motorola SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway

I previously had AT&T U-verse Internet using an Arris IPDSL NVG510 Wireless Modem Gateway. My HP Laptop running Windows 8.1 and the HP LasrJet Pro P1102w Wireless Prnter routinely & automatically connected to the NVG510 Wireless Network without any problems over the past two years, and the wireless Printer worked without problems. I recently replaced the AT&T U-verse Internet connection with a 25 Mbs Comcast Xfinity Intrnet connection, using a Motorola Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway. My HP Laptop running Win 8.1 Pro connects to the Network and accesses the Internet with no problems what-so-ever; However, the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wireless Printer does connect to the Wireless network and I cannot Print at all from my laptop. I have tried all the P1102w Wireless Printer Setup suggestions from the HP Printer Support Site, but to no avail. I have also updated the Printer Firmware and Loaded the latest Full Product Installation & Driver Software. I have tried and re-tried these suggestions over the last two days, but with no luck. I would greatly appreciately any help from the experts in this Forum. to get the printer to work wirelessly, since we also wirelessly print to this printer from IPads and other wireless laptops.

Hi , I see that you are having issues connecting the printer to the new router. I would like to help you. I would reset the printer first to clear out any previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise. Print out a configuration report and make sure the SSID and IP address are cleared.
Printing a Configuration Page. If the network name has any spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it. The printer is only capable of sending/receiving in the 2.4 ghz band. If it is set to 5 GHZ network you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or shut it off)
The WPA key setting needs to be on AES to work correctly not TKIP.Multi casting needs to be turned on.
Firewall on router has to have open ports for printer.
If you have Mac Filtering you need to give printer hardware address from Configuration page.You might need to contact your router company for further assistance to check those settings. Try running the Wireless Configuration Wizard from the HP software to configure the printer over the network. TC will not communicate with Airport Utility error -6753. Wireless, internet (unsecure), and backup work fine., ,

TC is not communicating with Airport Utility (error -6753). I do have a flashing amber light. The wireless (printer, TiVo), internet (unsecure), and backups to Time Capsule work fine. I have done many hard and soft Resets, but that has not helped. Airport utility show the TC as amber and but won't let me findout the status of what is causing the problem.

What mode is the TC running in, router or bridged? You can sometimes have issues if the TC is bridged and the network is getting IP in a different subnet.
I would recommend disconnecting the TC from the network and plugging it directly into the Mac via ethernet. You may also need to do a reset if the dhcp is off, as in bridge.
Also note are you pressing the reset for long enough that the led on front starts blinking rapidly.. hold it in for 15sec to be sure.

My Itunes will not communicate with either of my ipods. I have unistalled all Apple products from my computer. Completely reinstalled Itunes, however still it keeps telling me to reinstall Itunes to correct the software issue. Please help me!

Please help me. I have an Ipod Shuffle and Ipod Nano both the latest versions. I can not get them to communicate with my ITunes. I have tried the troubleshooting and I have tried completely taking all Apple software off my computer and reinstalling Itunes. I could really use someones help. I cannot find "Other" devices. I found Apple Mobile Device under Universal Bus Controllers but cannot see "recovery mode" or any other status. I use Windows Vista.
When I try to restart Apple Mobile Device Service I get the following message: "The Apple Mobile Device Service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". What does this mean?
During the last 48 hours I was able to see my iPad in iTunes only one time during many attemnpts to connect . I haven't been able to see it during the llast several attempts.
Any suggestions? The standard suggestions have not worked: i.e. stop then start AMDS; tuurn off iPad and PC, then restart both and reconfrom iPad to PC; reload iTunes.

Deskjet F2120 will not communicate with PC

The printer works fine as a copier and it can even print a test page after I turn the power off and on. Whoo pee do!
I've tried uninstalling the software, reinstalling the software using the supplied HP disks.
The HP uninstall doesn't work properly, because even after going through the process, some of the HP stuff just refuses to go away!
I tried different ports, downloaded the other special update only to be told that I don't need it.
I've watched videos on youtube - they had some good solutions there!
I downloaded the diagnostic tool - it either said everything was fine (which it wasn't) or everything was wrong (which it wasn't)
The diagnostic tool reckons the printer is not connected.
It is connected, I even bought a new cable in case that was the problem.
I can't even print a simple text file!
I'm all out of patience,
I've been working with computers (and printers) for over 20 years but never have I come across such user unfriendly
hardware & or software as this HP ^#&*^.
Can anyone tell me what to do (other than using the M16 solution)

Need Help...my wireless airport express will not work with my update of snow leopard

after installing snow leopard on my macbook pro my airport express will not work...or will connect only for a minute at a time.

If you mean by "airport express" the square airport router you plug in and has a usb port then run the Airport Utility located in your Utilities folder to set it up again. If AU doesn't see it you may need to do a re-set of the AE.

Epson Printer will not work with Pagemaker 6.5

I am having a problem with my Mac I run Jaguar 1.3X on it with OS9 which pagemaker runs under.
I can print with every application and print information from the internet, but can not print my PageMaker files. Is there a fix out there for this or do I have to upgrade to a newer OS?
I get an error like this everytime I try to print using Pagemaker 6.5

Some programs do not work as well under Classic as they do under native OS9 and you may be encountering this. Pagemaker may be having a hard time talking to the OSX generation of printer drivers. You can check [Gutenprint drivers|http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php] for an alternate set of drivers, but I don't know much about them or Jaguar OS... I would not be over optimistic about getting a newer version of OSX to assist. What version of OS9 are you using for Classic? You could try changing that, especially if there is a newer version.

Suddenly will not communicate with PC

I have had my iPod for 2 years with no problems.
Now , when I try to download from itunes, although the computer makes the connection 'beep' and the ' do not disconnect' message shows - nothing else happens. When I give up and remove the ipod from the docking station, it works fine - but has not got any updated tracks. Whilst in the docking station you can hear the hard disk clicking.
I have tried running update - but the software does not recognise that an ipod is 'mounted' even though again the pc has made the initial 'beep' when the ipod is docked.
Any suggestions?

Since IOS7 update, my car stereo will not communicate with my Iphone 4

Ok, I have had Kenwood car stereos with bluetooth connection since they came out with it and I have never had a problem. Now I am so mad, I am ready to throw my phone out the window. I can plug into usb or stream music bluetooth and it plays just like it always has. It even lists the name of the song and artist while the song plays. My problem is that since the update, I can no longer skip songs or dial by voice. I called Kenwood and they say that I am not alone. Their phones have been ringing constantly with disgruntled Iphone users. Do I need to buy a new phone or can Apple fix the problem? As I see it, this is dangerous because you literally have to pick up your phone, swipe the screen once to unlock, then swipe again to go to music playing, then pick the song you want to listen to which now shows up as like 20 tiny thumbnails (android copy?). How am I supposed to drive safely when I have to do this? Before I could just put Itunes on shuffle and tap the next button on my remote to skip songs without ever taking my eyes off the road. Also, before IOS7 I could hit the voicecall button and dial by saying the name of the person I wanted to call. Now I have to unlock the phone and go through the whole dangerous process of finding the contact and dialing. Is there a fix in the works Apple? Please advise. Thanks

If your phone supports Siri (a 4 doesn't), you _should_ be able to hold down the home button until she is ready then say call XXX. Of course, that is only a stopgap. I have no idea why Apple has to break things to advance their OS. I'm not happy about many of the stunts they pull these days. The only other suggestion I have is to delete the pair between devices and pair them again. There's a slight chance it may work. Otherwise, one of the companies is going to have to release an update to fix it. Maybe kenwoodusa.com already has. Have you checked?
