My wireless keyboard is generating the wrong character for one of the keys. Any ideas how to fix?
My wire2ess key board is generating a 2 as you can see in the word wire2ess. Any idea how to fix?
Make sure that there is no entry in system prefs/language & text/text/symbol and text substitution which causes this.
Try another keyboard.

Hello everyone!
Some months ago, I enabled the feature to read out the current time every full hour. Since yesterday, my mac reads it out twice, completely interleaved.
What can I do to fix it, so it reads out the time each hour only once?I've run into the issue and it seems to be related to an app not fully supporting the iOS you're on, the reboot doesn't usually solve it.
I've solved it in the following manner(s):
1) Backup the device to iCloud, then erase the iPad (Content and Network Settings).
2) Setup the iPad and choose to restore from iTunes/iCloud Backup (wherever you backed it up)
3) Perform any software updates
I have not tried simply performing the software updates (which may fix it, but if it doesn't you won't be able to perform the above steps).

My itunes no longer has the 'internet' tab for free streaming radio. Any ideas how to get it back?
I recently downloaded the itunes program to a new computer with Windows 7 and I notice that the 'internet' tab feature is missing from the icons. The internet feature allowed you to browse all the different types of music, talk radio, etc. online and free stream. I still have it available on my old Windows XP professional computer, however.
Anyone know how to get that feature on the Windows 7?I actually found the answer to this in another discussion! Thanks anyway!

I'm sorry for any inconvenience in the Swype keyboard beng removed in the Kitkat update. No worries, though! You can simply go to the Google Play Store and there are many Swype keyboards you can use. Most are free and many can be personalized to your style!

Scanning in both HP Officejet 7210 and Samsung printer - the document scans but no file is generated - any ideas how to fix this? (It worked fine before installing Mavericks)
PS: forgot to mention: if your printer is on your wifi network, you'll have to enter your wifi password on the printer to connect it to the network before Printers & Scanners will see it.
Sometimes a reset of the wifi system is needed too. A full set of directions would be:
Try:
uninstall all printer manufacturer apps and "utilities"
go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
control-click on your printer in the column on the left
select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
do a factory reset on your printer. You'll have to consult the printer manual for how.
power down everything: modem, router, computer, and printer
power up each item in turn in the same order: modem, router, computer, and printer. Let each power up completely before moving on to the next
enter your wifi password in your printer so it can connect to the network
go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple
resist the temptation to install any printer manufacturer apps in the future. -
My Iphone and Ipad will not pick up my new email messages..for the last few days...I have tried deleteling the account (a number of times..) and setting the account back up? and it still only picks up the old messages? Anyone else having tis problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

If you bought the MBP new 3 weeks ago, it should have come with Mountain Lion already installed. Did you update your MBP to the newly released 10.8.4 update? If not, what OS were you running before the upgrade, and what version of Mountain Lion do you have now? -
