My WishList  of features for next Version

Hi Team,
As  Developer I really love Catalyst,It does complete my FlashBuilder development experience  all the way, but still  I would like to share some of my wishes on features that could be nice to have  for next Version:
1) Build but dont automatically open new Browser, (currently everytime I want to test a change I have to ctr+enter it and it opens new instance of IE, even though url is the same, would be nice just to build it and I could refresh my IE (saves some memory on IE instances) or maybe there is already a way to do it?
2) ability to copy some Layers from one Buttons state to another buttons state, for example I designed a button component and now I want to copy some of the
layers to Toggle button component.
the way I did it was following
I copied my finished button and then I right clicked and selected "Revert Component to Artwork" and then I selected all artwork parts and did convert to component -> toggle button, but this way it only copied layers that I have initially creted for the button and not the layers that I have added in buttons over state.
thats it so far, everyhing else seems great.

You're welcome.
It will certainly be interesting to that device if it included all that hardware, and options.
It might look like this

  • Request for feature of Next Version of Indesign Middle Eastern Version

    For Adobe Team,
Request for Feature of Next Version of Indesign Middle Eastern Version
About Character and Paragraph Style Sheet in Next Version of Adobe Indesign Middle Eastern Version
Make an option for Latin Font style and Unicode/arabic font style.
We have work in both language English and Arabic or Urdu with same document or same paragraph.
For Guidence see this image of InPage Urdu Programme.
    Thanks
    Safwan

Ooh, InPage! I'm so glad that I don't have to work in InPage anymore.
However, that feature that you're looking for was actually a good one. It won't do you any good to ask for it here, though; you want to go straight to WinSoft. They make the ME edition, not Adobe.
However: World Tools suite from in-tools.com has the feature "Apply Latin Character Style" which does what you want, more or less. The main paragraph style would be an Urdu RTL style, unlike your InPage example. Unfortunately, going in "the other direction" World Tools only has "apply Hebrew character style." It's still worth a look for you, I think.

  • Your feature requests for next version?

I have submitted mine on the feedback page, but I would love to know what you all want the next version to include in terms of improvements and additional features.
In short, my prefered additions would include:
    -Stack/collapse all in one keystroke
-More adjustments (among them lens distortion and CA correction)
    -Speeeed
    -Panorama stitching
-Networking, being able to share images

I like and use Aperture a lot, but realistically is still a v1 program. So I am looking forward to v2. Here's my wish list ....
    1. Plug In suppport - Nik plug-in's etc.
    2. iLife suite integration without duplicating photos or relying on Automator
    3. Integration to FCP suite ..... since the photos are in a package!
    4. Ability to use Spotlight external to the package ... or get rid of the package and just move to either file/folder structure or go to an indexed "RDBMS" database (yes, holy wars on this one, I know)
    5. Burn archive of import, as a workflow element.
Multiple aperture libraries selectable from the File dialog vs. preference and then quit/launch
    6. Span aperure library across drives
7 Standard max/min/lozenge buttons on windows and fonts that an over 50 year old can read .... or adjust .... on today's 23" or 30" high res. displays.
    8. oh, and did somebody say .....
    S-P-E-E-D?
    speed
    SPEEEED
    9. ....but at least give us progress bars when say, moving photos from project to project
    10. Undo on deleting a project .... you're into re-importing from the Mac trash can after figuring out which photo you need (yup, I have the scars and wasted time award)
    11. Better visual representation of what's happening (or not) when trying to move photos across albums etc.
Either give us full line camera RAW support, or DNG linear support, or a plug in capability.
    12. Overlay one photo on another in book view (tools to increase transparency/reduce saturation on the background photo to create a sense/theme)
    12. CURVES!! tool
    13. Loupe tool that will stay over the photo while I use the mouse to alter tool settings
    14. .... and Luddite that I am, I do still need a <Cmd>+ / <Cmd> - zoom function along with the loupe.
Here endeth today's list. And my thanks to Joe and the Aperture development team in advance!

  • Message to RIM - wish list for next version

    Hi
Just some thoughts based on a couple of days of use of a playbook that my IT folks lent me.
Firstly, hopefully RIM will realize that the only way this will take off is if Enterprise users really buy into it but the device lacks in certain areas if it is to be a WorkBook instead of a PlayBook (which other tablets do a better job at) as follows:
    - no way to adjust font size or zoom in the Messages in the BlackBerry bridge - if the higher ups in corporate can't read their messages, they won't buy.
    - even though typing e-mails show you spelling errors w a red underline - there is no way to correct, while in your BBerry, you can call up spelling correction options.  (The same for the other bridge apps, like memos etc, as well).
    - very difficult to edit messages, the touch screen is not sensitive enough so its difficult to place the cursor to exactly to the point you need it in text you have already typed.  Suggest an optical track ball (similar to the ones in the 9700s) or a stylus be incorporated into the next version.
    - even if you are able to get the cursor to the spot you want it in a draft e-mail/memos you can't highlight to cut or copy text to other parts of the e-mail/memo draft.
    - can't view attachments that are part of the calendar entries - but you can on the BBerry itself.
Think that's it after 2 days of using.  Needless to say, am disappointed as the PlayBook doesn't increase productivity and is lacking in key areas that are part of what makes BBerry a strong product.  I wouldn't buy with my personal funds and think the corporate will not roll out as aggressively as it could the cost/benefit is currently not there.
Let's see what future software/hardware upgrades bring.
    Cheers to all.

Hi 8400Help, I had compiled a list of suggestions in an earlier thread please check it out here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Future-Things-We-Want-Rim-To-Fix-On-The-P...

    Hi DaLy
Sure, I'll be happy to try. However, all I really know about
it is what has been relayed to me over the years. I have no idea as
to how accurate it is or isn't.
I've been told that because Adobe (and formerly Macromedia)
are publicly traded companies, they have to be extra careful in
divulging any information that could impact the sales of their
stock. However, I balance this with the fact we regularly see
Microsoft (Who, unless I'm mistaken is also publicly traded)
    divulgiing assorted features and whatnot.
I've also heard from time to time that it's more of a
"competitive edge" thing. Where if Company A divulges features in
progress, competitors may be able to somehow use this against
Company A by bringing their own software to market sooner wth the
    features in place.
So I have to look at this and rather assume it simply comes
    down to the company choice.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Release date for next version of Forms?

Has anyone heard of a release date for the next version of Forms (10.1.2.0.2 or whatever it will be)? I may be starting a major Forms project shortly and I'd like to use the most current version of Forms with the current Application Server.

We are looking at mid summer this year. Depending on your start times it may be as well starting on 10g (9.0.4) as there is a long support cycle for it.

  • A big wish for next version iPad - usb external hard drive connection

Can we ask that Apple consider putting a USB connection on the next version of iPad for those who want to use an external hard drive for storing images? When traveling some of us have too many images for the iPad storage and want to archive the RAW versions as well as see what we shot. This USB addition would be perfect for using for this and other applications. It would make the iPad perfect.

Ok, the idea for my request is I teach study abroad classes in photography. We do on the road critiques of the work. If the students stored all their images on those portable hard drives like the wolverine that would allow them to download onto them, they could just show them on the ipad, a much cheaper solution than the air that I would bring along. It's not about storage really when the images are not my own, but I would not store them there anyway like I don't store them on my macbook pro or my desktop but on archive external hard drives. When you shoot over 2000 raw and jpg images on one of these trips, you have to use external hard drives. The Air is gorgeous but I can get 2 ipads for the price of one air at the lower end. I am just really trying to find a way for the students not to have to bring so much equipment along. We have a trip planned to India in another year with them. Money will be an issue for them. I have taught university level photography for 36 years. I know about processing and we use lightroom for our classes. I really did not want to give the whole story just ask for the usb connector so we could see images from hard drives. That's all.

  • Feature Requests for next version of Pr

I've submitted this list.  If you agree, please join me.  Copy and paste into the Feature Request page if you like.  Add your own requests.

Ability to save track or clip based audio effect user presets.
Option-drag to copy an audio effect from one insert location to another (to different tracks)
Drag audio effects up or down in the effect stack order, or to another track
Temporary Snap on or off (Reverse Snap Behavior) keyboard modifier.
    KEYBOARD / SHORTCUTS:
Ability to map multiple Keyboard Shortcuts to the same function (like Avid: E & R keys, same as I and O)

More obvious indicator that Timeline Snap is on.
Indicator on Clips in the Timeline that indicate Frame Blend is enabled.

    Ripple Audio Track Keyframes.
Solo video layer button on the Timeline track panel.

FX button/switch, as in After Effects, to turn off all effects on a track (video and audio).
Option-double click a nest to reveal contents of nest in the same master timeline.
    SOURCE AND PROGRAM PANES:
Keyboard shortcuts to scale image zoom in Source and Program tabs.
Keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease playback resolution.
Have the Program monitor remember the Zoom and Resolution level for each Sequence; don't have Zoom scale set universally by the project.

When using Clip > Scale to Sequence, DO NOT have the new Scale factor in the Motion tab change the clip's scale to 100%.
Consistent Mouse Wheel behavior across all apps in CS
    Scopes update while playing.
Make Export and Title windows return to the previously adjusted size and placement.
Add a command buffer, so that we can execute several commands in a row, and not wait for the app to "release", or for the first event to complete before I can proceed to the next event.
    File requests here:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

If you want to do this correctly you need to file a request for each feature.
Ripple Sequence and Chapter Markers is already implemented. Sequence markers are the same as chapter markers, yes? (Ripple Sequence Markers, select Marker > Ripple Sequence Markers.)
Ability to print the Keyboard Shortcuts, or save all of them as a text file. also available. (hold ctrl+shift while opening. A button with clipboard appears)
Keyboard shortcuts to scale image zoom in Source and Program tabs. available
Keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease playback resolution. available
Make Export and Title windows return to the previously adjusted size and placement. They do.
Some feature you posted are great. How about a eyedropper tool for the Color Matte?
I find the Magnet for Snap quite visible. There is also this feature in the Pref to make the playhead snap.

  • Wishlist for next version

    Hi,
I haven't seen this topic anywhere else, so I thought I would start it here.
    I wish ...
    • that I could bookmark or color-label tracks in iTunes. This could be a quick visual cue (rather than looking at the 'last played' date) when listening over time to long, multi-part spoken word albums (like books on tape). I wish I could do this on my iPod as well. (Maybe this could be an automatic feature of a smart playlist: a check box for "remember/mark last played track")
    • that iTunes would let me turn on "remember playback position" for a selection of multiple tracks such as an entire spoken word album.
    • that iTunes gave you the ability to exclude/include certain genres from the Party shuffle without creating a special playlist for it. I never want Christmas carols in there, nor do I want the spoken word stuff in there.
    • that I could use the Search field in the radio station list. It would sure help finding stations by keyword.
    • when the playlist is too big to fit an MP3CD, that iTunes would compress the files to fit the media (but leave the originals alone). (This is my number one wish!)
    Okay, your turn.

I'm not a wizard who makes wishes come through, but maybe Apple programmers can.
I recommend sending your feature requests to them, using this page:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/
Do not use the iTunes feedback. This is for music requests only.

  • New features for next CC update: open apps, contextual menus, option-click for more info...

I'd like to see the CC app gain a few features that would enable a more efficient workflow right from the app:
    1. Ability to open apps from the menu bar. I know we can stuff 'em in our Docks and open them in Spotlight, but being able to interact with our apps would be great. Perhaps each app could have its own gear/triangle, or each icon could be interactive; this would open a contextual menu from which we can open, delete, update, get help, maybe open recent docs....
    2. Option-clicking an app icon could pop up more info (e.g., version, last used, etc)
    3. Allow us to sort apps either manually or by automatic criteria (recently used, most used, recently updated, etc)
See attached PNG for concepts.Adobe Creative Cloud

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform for bugs or feature requests is a better place to post

  • Basic phone features for next OS update...

    Hi there,
I was an Apple virgin until 2 days ago. I love the new phone, with the apps and all its other functions.
BUT, having used most other brands of phone, I have to say that it does lack some very basic functions I expect in a phone:
    1. sms delivery reports, and the ability to set the period of validity of the sms
    2. setting up groups within my contacts
    3. being able to choose easily multiple profiles other than just ring or silent
    4. being able to create templates of often used phrases/addresses/tel numbers to use in sms messages
    5. choose different sounds for different events, i.e. new email, voicemail, sms
these are just a few of the things i noticed straight away, (they maybe more!) they are just basic, basic phone features which have been available from mobiles for almost the beginning.
Does anyone agree, maybe if anyone on Apple reads these post can do something about it?
Or if anyone feels the same, maybe send feedback here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
    Thanks

    Welcome to the party.
It won't hurt in the slightest to send feedback to Apple, but it's safe to assume that these subject have all been covered here in the forums for several years now.
Most of the "issues" you list have been discussed at length and I hope you did a search first before buying the iPhone so you're not too disappointed.

  • Preparing for next version of OIM

    Hi,
We're installing OIM on JBoss application server, and since a new version is coming that will support JBoss 4.2.3GA and JDK 1.6 (and since an upgrade path is announced), we recently tried to install OIM 9.1.0 on those versions of JBoss and Java. It isn't going particularly well... Is there a recomended set of versions to start with to be able to take the upgrade path?
    Thanks,
    Juan

Sorry for any misunderstandings... I was talking about OIM 9.1.0.1, which while probably won't have major functional changes will allow us to run it on a JDK that is still supported by Sun... so far only JBoss 4.0.3 is certified with OIM 9.1.0, and with JDK 1.4.2_x at that.

  • Idea for next version of Photoshop

Tear off tools the same as Illustrator for re-using common ones.
Also the pen tool - To have a shift or Ctrl key to minus an anchor point. At the moment you have to go back to the tool bar and select the minus anchor point
    Any thoughts?

    A.Tomschurz wrote:
Is there a german Service available, too. My english is too bad for such complicated tecnical stuff
Probably not, but if you're not writing too much, someone might be willing to translate for you.  My recommendation would be: If you want to post a feature request in the feature request forum, just post it in German there and and post a link to it here so German speakers will discover it.

  • Wish for next version Labview - group of references created

Everytime I create large Labview application, I tend to  create constant references and control/indicator references for every controls and indicator, before grouping them  tinto clusters and wires so that i do not have to search for it high and low. But the problems is that I find it very tiring. For example, I want to create a group of  references with labels for the group of controls/indicators with just one click.
    Same for nodes too.
    Clement

Maybe it is higtime you began using clusters at design time of your large applications.
Or I suggest you to think of redesigning you application itself.
