My X-FI XtremeMusic Came With The Heats
I just received an X-FI XtremeMusic with the heatsink, and ZipZoomFly that I ordered it from said it doesn't come with it.
Should I return it, or don't worry about it's I was told this was a cheaper manufacturing process they went with, that with this new chip, because of the heat now needed a heatsink.
But I read that this newer version is suppose to address bugs.
Does anyone know if the quality is inferior to the original?
I mean, I'm wondering if I should return it and try to see if they have the original ones without the heatsink, or check NewEgg.

If the card was very cold when you bent the cap back into place, and if you bent it up quickly, you could introduce enough metal fatigue to make a difference later on. That's unlikely, but when I need to do that kind of "cosmetic maintenance" I usually try to warm up the card and then bend the errant pin/cap/etc slowly. This reduces metal fatigue. Probably to a statistically insignificant degree with today's electronics, but old habits die hard.
My X-Fi Pro has the heatsink. I thought all the Pro's had it and none of the other cards. If I had gotten a non-heatsink processor with 5 million transisitors in it, I'd have added a heatsink anyway... it's almost like putting on a P4 Northwood to run your sound card.
And yes, I also have a fan directing air across the card. :smileyvery-happy:

I'm a noob and not so much of a techie, henceforth I would greatly appreciate your input.
Referring to the above matter, it was stated on my Xperia Ion that I would need to update Whatsapp to the latest version from Google PlayStore in order to use it. Fair enough, I got onto PlayStore and found it. There was no "update" button anywhere, there were only "uninstall" and "open".
Now obviously when i select "open" this will open the app, which will bring me back to where it says that I'll need an updated version.
The other option I can choose from is "uninstall", which I pressed, and then the "install" option came soon after. Installed it and ran it without problems whatsoever.
However, I'm wondering, upon the installation of Whatsapp from PlayStore, it was mentioned that the app is free for this year, and that I'll need to pay for it upon the expiry of free period in the event I intend to continue using it, which shall be next year.
Now my question (finally):- With regards to the initial outdated version of Whatsapp that came with the phone (which I have deleted), will I need to pay for the app upon the completed usage of a year too, similar to the newer one I've downloaded from PlayStore?

After I write a note in the notes icon that came with the ipad, it immediately emails it to my email account and erases it from the note pad. How do I make it stay on the notepad? I don't particularly want it emailed to me.
I have a test with some questions (multiple choice, FIB, matching, etc). I have just one button to submit all the answers, and after submiting the student can see his score and review the test to know where he failed. He can't answer again. However, he can change the answer multiple times before submiting.

CHeck out iTunes Match which has an annual fee of £21 or thereabouts. You can store a maximum of 25,000 songs there and they all become available on your other kit, iPhone, iPad and iPod. I know it works as I have over 23000 songs uploaded of which only a few we're bought through iTunes.
it works by comparing your music to the whole iTunes music dadata base so you access the same tunes that you could get from iTunes. If you have obscure stuff, it uploads your own music to the cloud as a copy.
I Find it incredible that on my iPhone with its 16gb memory I can view almost 200 gb of music (ie my 23000 songs) and play any of them. Anything I add to iTunes becomes available via the cloud fairly quickly from a few minutes or a little longer if adding a lot.
The first time you use it it will take quite a while to match your music if you have a lot, but after that it is all automatic. Read the stuff on the apple site. Your PC needs to be at least running Vista. I recommend it and at less than 50p a week it's good value.

Do you mean you've replaced your remote and it wont work because your AppleTV is paired to your lost remote?

I have a pioneer 50 inch plasma + I purchased new from the company back in 2005. I tried to hook up an Apple Tv to the pioneer receiver that came with the TV. I can not get it to work.
The receiver has two HDMI inputs in the back. However they say they are not for PC's. Furthermore they must be set up by going to the home menu. I tried everything, but I can not get the receiver to talk to the Apple TV. I even tried a connector that uses an HDMI to the Apple TV that has the other side of the cable as 5 RCA cables. I could not get the receiver to see the Apple TV. I have a newer TV in the house, it has no problem talking with the Apple TV. But this older system seems to be handicapped in its ability to talk with the newer Apple TV system.

BobI could not access the Apple TV on the television. If I put the Apple TV directly into by TV, I have an external sound system (entertainment system), therefore I worry that I would by pass the audio.

My earphone that came with the ipod touch is not working
the earphone that came with the ipod is not workin, the microfone doesnt work, and the volume control doesnt too, but, the stop/play button works, and the overall sound from the phone, wat is happening? can smeone help me?
This maybe because there is a piece of tissue, crumbs... ect in the earphone hole.
Try getting stuff out, if there is nothing there... I got nothing.

I have an ipod touch 64GB. I have 3,146 songs, 3 videos, 106 photos and 1 app. The capacity of my ipod is 58 GB (I guess the remainder is the OS), It says I have 7.6GB remaining. When I look at my ipod on Itunes on my laptop the bar at the bottom shows a huge amount of storage space is taken up by Apps. I don't have any apps apart from the ones which came with the ipod touch which I cannot erase and wouldnt really want to. I am baffled why it says so much storage has been taken up by Apps! Please help me!!!
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Droid RAZR HD won't charge with either cable that came with the new phone.
My RAZR HD will not charge using either of the USB charging cords that came with the phone and I have tried several different USB/wall type adapters. I have to use a generic charger (not a USB cord, just a straight outlet to phone type). The data cable that connects the phone to my laptop works so it doesn't seem like it is a connection problem. Is anyone else having this trouble?

that the USB/outlet adapter cannot be plugged into any type of outlet
adapter (like converting two outlets to 4 or 6 in a wall outlet), extension
cord, or power strip/bar to function. It must be plugged directly into the
wall socket (or computer) in order to charge.

Hello. I have a new Iphone 5S and the charger taht came with the phone doesn´t charge my Iphone. The cable is good because I´m charging the phone via my PC. I tried every recomendation posted here but none helped me...I live in Argentina and we don´t have local support here, I would´ve ask for a new one but it´s not an option here. I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. It must be definitely something related to the carrier since I was abroad few days ago and everything worked well.
If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport" it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
Use Google Maps instead

I'm using charger and cable that came with the phone. Nothing else changed.
I think it was the update the iOS 7.0.4 that I did last night. I woke up this morning with my battery almost drained and the charging function going off and on every few seconds, like it would start charging then disconnect, then reconnect repeatedly.
I've tried restarting the phone and hard restarting the phone several times, but I'm getting really low on battery by now (under 20%).
I've tried cleaning the connector with a little isopropyl alcohol, and blowing it out with compressed air. Though I can't be 100% certain, it's very unlikely my connector died exactly at the same time I was updating my phone. Especially since it appears I'm not the only one with this problem.
And now, after the last hard reset, my phone doesn't even recognize the charger at all, or being connected with the USB cable to my MacBook Pro.
I turned off my phone so when I go to the Apple Store it will power up one last time, but besides that I'm out of ideas.Just back from Genius Bar and two other people at my table had the same problem. Their 4Ss aren't charging either. One of them had a fried board according to the tech. At least my HW checked out OK. It just won't charge.
The tech tried to tell me that it was because my connector was corroded, which I told him was kind of a weak argument since evidence points to that the update has something to do with it.
They're seeing a lot of these and it looks like they already have a script.
Luckily I had enough juice left to recycle it for like $180, so I picked up a 5S with a new 2 year.
It looked to me like this is going to blow up pretty big. Like class action lawsuit big.
If you have an iPhone 4 or 4S, and you haven't updated it to iOS 7, don't for now. See if a patch comes out that doesn't brick your phone. Or get an induction charger maybe? Don't just update and expect absolutely no problems because too many people are having problems right now. -
I have an iPod Nano v4 or 5 and when I connect it to my Hyundai Santa Fe I get an iPod Loading error message. The cable works with the dealer's iPod which is a newer model. The cable came with the car when I purchased it. Please advise. Thanks.

I have a couple of articles that should be able to help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes first. This has to be done in a specific manner, and this article can help you do that:

It is all up to you. You can use the phone line which came with the printer or you can get a new one. It does need to be a 2-wire phone line though.
