My yahoo email freezes up my calender on my iphone 5

When I add my Yahoo email to my phone the calender freezes up???
My Gmail email works fine....
Help???

If you're still unable to retrieve your recent email, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

It's not clear exactly what you're trying to accomplish here. If you're wanting to set up SMS forwarding introduced in iOS 8, then please follow the directions below. Also, your Apple ID should be an email address.
To use Continuity for SMS and MMS with your iPhone and your Mac, iPad or iPod touch
Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch need to use iOS 8.1, and your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.
Sign in to iMessage on your iPhone, your other iOS devices, and your Mac using the same Apple ID.
On your iPhone:
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By, and add a check to both your phone number and email address.
Go to Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and enable the device(s) you would like to forward messages to.
Your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch will display a code. Enter this code on your iPhone to verify the SMS feature.

My Yahoo email won't update anymore on my iPhone 6

I have an iPhone 6 using IOS 8.3 and about a week ago it stopped updating my yahoo email account. It worked just fine for many years. I didn't update anything before it happened. I have deleted it off my phone and added it back on several times and still nothing. I've changed my yahoo password and nothing. It just says "Updated on 4/3/15" and that it "Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed". I have no problem accessing the same yahoo account from my iPad, my Mac, my work PC.

In Mac OS 10.5.8 my yahoo email freezes up since upgrading to the new firefox.

I have 3 yahoo accounts and when I go to email, the screen freezes up every time.

Yahoo email freezes when trying to send.

Using Windows XP home edition.
I can compose email in Yahoo. But as soon as I click '''SEND'', the SEND & SAVE AS DRAFT button get greyed out. It says "loading" somewhere on the page. I wait and the Loading word goes away. I do not get verification that the email was sent as it should state. I have to reload the page to be able to go to any folder in Yahoo to see my SENT folder in order to verify that it indeed was sent. 98%, I find the message in the sent folder so It got sent.
This does not happen using IExp.
I have this same problem with 2 separate computers, so its not just happening on one pc.
Any ideas to try? Thanks in advance

Try this:
Click on the Contacts icon
Select the Menu key
Select Settings
If the Only contacts with phones is checked, uncheck it

My yahoo email account won't load on my iPhone.

It will take my password and username but then when I go into the email app and try to load the mailing hangs for ages then says there are 7 other messages. Then I try pressing that to load them but it just sits there!! I haven't been using my yahoo account long but would like to get this sorted so I can actually use it!

I lost all of my Contacts in my COMPUTER for my Yahoo email account; I then looked through my iPhone to see what my email settings showed and it showed my Contacts were turned "Off". You only turn that off if you have very sensitive operations and data that cannot be corrupted by power loss or serious loss incurs. Mainly server operations and database files.

My Yahoo email is not working on ipad and iphone.

I have two yahoo accounts and I randomly have them mess up on my computer, both at work and home. ANd it's all on Yahoo's end. It's supposed to delete and go to the next mail, but sometimes it randomly puts me back in the main mail list. Sometimes it won't delete at all, other times I can't access it....just exceedingly inconsistent.
IMHO, they're trying to bring so much into it to make it a communication hub, but it's just interfacing with too much and can't keep up.
The long and short, if your yahoo mail is malfunctioning, chances are it's on their end so users just have to wait it out or find work arounds....such as using the yahoo app or accessing the webmail via safari if the mail app isn't working.

this is a known issue with Yahoo, as your thread is the 5th I've seen already about Yahoo email.
Contact yahoo and see what the problem is.

If I understand correctly you are going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Add Account but that last option is not usable because it is gray. In testing this for you, I was able to reproduce this by enabling Restrictions and denying Account Changes. You can configure that with this article:

HT1414 Problems pushing Yahoo emails since May 12 update

Since my Iphone 4s was updated (early May12) Yahoo emails have not been pushed to my Iphone. I have been twice to the Apple store in London and they can not help me. Is this a Yahoo problem? If not and it is an Apple problem, what should I do?

I am having the same problem down in south america! So my guess is the problem is with Yahoo and not with the carrier.

If I try to send attachments on my Yahoo email, my iMac freezes up. I don't have the problem with my MacBook Pro.

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

Yahoo email constantly crashes Safari functions

I updated Safari, etc. several weeks ago and now yahoo email will hardly work. It freezes up showing the pinwheel icon and the only fix I have found is to quit safari and start over. Anyone know what's wrong? This is the first problem I've ever had with this year old imac and I don't know what to do.

In my frusration, I wandered into the local Apple store and asked about this. The answer was that Apple is having incompatibility problems with at least Yahoo Mail and Java regarding latest updates to Safari and OS, and that they are "working" on it. This is a known issue. I was advised to download and use Chrome for my browser until it is fixed. I did that and I'm amazed. Chrome is flawless and about 50% faster than Safari. I'll never go back. I've also put it on my PCs and it works better than Explorer. Just google "chrome download" and follow the tips. Takes about 5 minutes and another 5 to personalize and figure out how it works. Have fun!

Can my BB curve sync to Yahoo email account?

as above really. Can my BB Curve sync to my Yahoo email account so that any emails are pushed to my BB? My mate reckons I have to set-up a new email using Outlook or similar. Thing is, it'll be a pain to start having o use a new accot as i've had my Yahoo email address for aslong as i can remember!
If it can sync it, how do I do it? Have set up my @orange.blackberry.co.uk email so is it similar to that?
Also, would it sync to the Yahoo calender within my email account?

I have two options for you. First, you can call Tesco and they should be able to do that from their end. It's obviously still associated with your BIS account, which they can modify for you. Alternatively, they should have a self-serve BIS site from where you can edit email accounts on your phone. You'll need a user/pass combo to access the site but if you get that from them, you can then modify accounts on your phone by yourself.

Cannot attach files to Yahoo email account since new Safari installed

Hello. I don’t know why, but since I installed the new Safari update, I’ve been having trouble attaching files to my Yahoo email account. The entire Safari just sort of freezes. I can’t even click on anything.
Another minor but irritating problem since the installment: sometime video clips cannot be played (like on Youtube). I would have to quit and reopen to get to usual condition.
Anyone know how to solve these problems? Thanks!

The problem is BrowserPlus. It's not compatible with Safari 5.

If you don't want to do that, you revert to the previous version of Safari, instructions here.
