My Z10 device is locked on the 5th attempt to unlock it

Hi,
My son was trying to unlock my device with the password which he knew and was set only to prevent the device from dialling on its own.
However, the device is not opening and is stuck on the 5th attempt even though i have tried to unlock it for 7times. Also, i know the password which is 1234.
I am getting a screen which says To continue, enter "blackberry" and then the option to enter the password. Should i enter the password after entering blackberry? Is there any space to be left ? Can you please provide me with a step by step procedure to fix it. I am certain that i have not forgotten the password.
Please help as i dont have a back up and i fear losing my data.

Often users who have multiple numerals in their password will only press the ALT key for the first numeral and not those following, so for instance, if your password were "1234", you might have been pressing "Alt 1234" on the device, which makes the actual password to be "1ers".
Does that make sense? Does it sound familar to your usage?
So check the way you enter your password on the device... do you think you are entering multiple numbers but actually are not?

You can't delete it. You bought a used iPhone, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to aside from asking the previous owner to remove the phone from Find my iPhone. If you cannot contact them, you won't be able to use the phone at all.

  • If you have forgotten your passcode lock is the only way to unlock is from the original computer?

If you have forgotten your passcode lock is the only way to unlock the phone to connect to the original computer? Is there no way to connect to itunes? HELP!

Restoring as a new device means you will loose everything.  You can restore from a backup, but if that backup includes the same passcode you cannot remember now, then it will just put it back in place and you will be right back where you are.  If the backup does NOT include the passcode currently on the device, you can restore from that backup.
If restoring as new, you will loose any pictures in camera roll not already saved somewhere else (like your computer).  You will loose any contacts also not already saved somewhere else.
Once you've restored the iPhone though, you can re-sync the contacts and other content from your backup copies on your computer.  iTunes and App store content can always be redownloaded.

  • Used all the 10 attempts to unlock the network

    Dear all,
after having unlocked partially the phone with a code T mobile uk (the original carrier) provided me, the phone remained locked on the T-mobile (now EE) network. The network subset was showing unlocked but the phone was not working with any other SIM card.
After various attempts the EE technical department suggested to input 10 times the code they provided advising that the mobile would then reset to zero/ original setting and everything would be fine. I did that and as a consequence instead the phone is now Hard Locked (i.e. it does not work with any Sim card). the message says "One or more of your network codes is blocked. This is preventing your device from using the Mobile Network. Please contact your service provider". I did contact EE technical guys and they have no idea what to do. They adviced that is a blackberry issue to ask balckberry what I need to do to make the phone work again. So here I am.
    Anyone knows what to do?
    thank you

Contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to BlackBerry level customer support.
They (Tmobile UK) hardlocked it for you, they will need to get BlackBerry to unlock.
Or, you can try one of the private vendors of such MEP locked devices.

  • I cannot sync my phone because my device is locked and the screen is broken. how can i get around this?

My screen on my iPhone 5s 16g has broken and i just received a new one in the mail. i want to sync my old phone to iTunes so i can restore my new one, but cannot sync do to the fact that my screen is broken and i am unable to unlock the phone… how can i get around this?

You don't. If you use a 3rd party to "fix it" or attempt to do it yourself, Apple will reject the return and charge you the full price of the phone as if you had not returned it at all.
It's too late. You should have been backing up before it failed.

    Try:

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

  • "Photos in the Camera Roll of "(your) iPhone" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.  You must unlock the device to import them."  My iPhone 5 running the latest iOS 7.1 and I'm using iPhoto '11 v 9.4.3

"Photos in the Camera Roll of "(your) iPhone" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.  You must unlock the device to import them."  That's the new error message when I plug in my iPhone 5 running the latest iOS 7.1 into the MacBook Pro running iPhoto '11 v.9.4.3.  My Mac OSX is still 10.8.5.
So, I unlock the iPhone by entering the "passcode" before I plug it into the MBP and still iPhoto does nothing.  At least it doesn't issue the error message above.
I've checked both iPhoto preferences and those for Photos and Camera in the Settings on the iPhone.  There doesn't seem to be anything to change this lack of connectivity.
    What next please?

An hour-long phone discussion with Apple Support yesterday solved this question and sorted a couple of others.
As for this one, do not ignore any messages which pop up when you plug in your iPhone and ask "Trust this computer?".  The correct reply is "Yes", not "Cancel".
OK, you cancelled like I did, thinking "What on earth is this for?".  Mistake.  You can force the issue by having iTunes open when you next plug in your iPhone.  Tell the iPhone that it can trust its old friend, your computer and voila!  Your photos can download into iPhoto again.
Thank you, Jay with Apple Sydney, Australia!

  • Photos in the camera roll of "iPhone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.  Tried just about everything - suggestions?

Photos in the camera roll of "iPhone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.  Tried just about everything - suggestions?

Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them.

  • How to disable the message that pops up every time i connect my iphone "photos in the camera roll of iphone cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode"?

Wrongly posted in iPhoto forum, should probably be posted here instead.
I want to remove the message that pops up every time i connect my IPhone that says: "Photos in the Camera Roll of "Name" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.".
This computer is not one that I want to import photos to (or sync with the iPhone), so this message is just very annoying, and it pops up all the time. I cannot find a way to disable this message. It is constantly appearing. No application is launching, I have turned off the iPhoto launch in the Image Capture app as well as in iPhoto. Thanks in advance if anyone has any information about this.

  • Output device DKRDSP029 is locked in the SAP system - RFC error

    Hi,
One user of the system has got the following error when he is loading his "Change Office and communication" iView in the portal. This is the SAP standard DK used iView!
No one else has this error in the system as far as we know and the DKRDSP029 is a printer. I had no idea that a printer was connected to this information but apparently there is.
Does anyone has any input to what the problem actually is?
    Thanks :-)...

Please check if this user has any default output device configured in the corresponding backend system. (from SU01)
If the printer/output device configured for this user is DKRDSP029, there might be a problem with the printer setup.
You can try and change the printer to a different one if required.

  • IPhoto won't import photos because the "device is locked"

I recently plugged my iPhone into my computer and attempted to import my pictures into iPhoto. Up until now I've been able to import photos just fine. This time, iPhoto gave me the message "Photos in the Camera Roll of "(your) iPhone" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.  You must unlock the device to import them." I found this strange because 1) my phone was already unlocked and 2) iPhoto gave me this message BEFORE I plugged in my phone. I quit iPhoto, plugged in my phone and tried opening the program again. Still the same message appeared.
I tried turning off my passcode, quitting and restarting iPhoto (multiple times), Googling the problem, and reading THIS community post (which doesn't entirely help because I've already 'trusted' the computer). Even with my phone disconnected, iPhoto still gives me the message that I need to enter a passcode to unlock the device.
    What next?

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
    Post back with the result.

I lost my iPad2 and through iCloud, put a remote lock on the device. I have since recovered the iPad2 and every time I open the device, when I 'Slide to Unlock' it requires the passcode to be entered. Is there a way to remove the password requirement?

Yea, just go into settings > general > passcode lock > type in your passcode > press the turn passcode off button, you will need to type your passcode one more time.
