My zen acts weird when

... I conect my Pc speakers to it, it performs actions by itself, it turns off, goes to radio. etc whats the problem, and my friend's iPod worked perfectly. also. I want a decent software to syncronize my zen with. WMP is amazing but it sucks at album art if it wasn't for that.... i also like media monkey, but after the sync it takes ages doing something and i cannot unplug the zen. also when i tried it when? sync it the 2nd time it doubles all my songs uploading all the library again, it was suposed t detect that those files were already in my zen. please answer these questions, please. thanks in advcance

Well, I tried charging my phone hooking up to mac book, it didnot happen before when I first bought the phone. If I can remember it started when I updated iOS 6.1. As soon as I hook up my phone, the screen doees corresponds well touch. Either it opens wrong app that I did not intend too or it does open at all.

It sounds like your touch screen is acting strangely when connected to a power source. I recommend the steps in the following article:

Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.

T420 acts weird when in docking station

Hi.
I'm useally very happy for my T420, but lately it is annoying me, when I put it in Docking station.
When I dock it and power on, it acts if either I keep clicking the left mouse button all the time or as if I'm holding down the CTRL key.
I fix it by restarting the machine 1-2 up to 3 times in the morning. And then It useally behave the rest of the day. Untill next day.
I have tried to change keyboard and mouse, same problem.
I have tried to clean the notebook keyboard, no effect.
I have tried to keep the notebook lid open, but as I'm working on to external screens that is not a lasting solutions.
It is acting normal when not in docking.
Does anyone have suggestions to what I could try? It is driving me mad as it only appears sporedicly in the mornings (at first docking of the day)

If the problem only happens when the laptop lid is closed then you need to make sure the antenna wires are laying flat in their slots. If they are sticking up at all their causing a crease into the keyboard ribbon cable.

My I phone it is acting weird when I go to the lock screen it will take a picture and I was not touching my phone it will keep asking me if I want to turn off my phon.

It's not hacked, it's likely experiencing one or more hardware issues, and you need to take it in for service.

Desktop acting weird when using External Monitor.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if people have been having this weird "problem" when using an external monitor on OS X Mavericks. Though not really an issue that makes the OS/Mac usable, it's more of a quality of life thing (and it's really annoying for someone who likes things to be where I put them).
Anyways, the problem is that when I use my external monitor when at home, I have it set as the main display while the monitor on my MacBook Pro 15" acts as the extended/secondary monitor. No problems in functionality, BUT, the icons on my desktop always move while my external monitor is in use.
I usually do my work while using my external monitor and I use my desktop as my initial location to save my work files before moving them to an appropriate folder. However, revert back to not using the external monitor, everything just gets muddled up on top of eachother, stuff (sometimes) get missplaced and it just becomes a hassle to rearrange my desktop to how it was before.
tl:dr: desktop icons move when I use my external monitor as my main display.
So does anyone know if this is a problem that can be fixed, or is it an issue my monitor being a 3rd party model and old?

IPod is acting weird when its Docked!

I havean iHome under the kitchen cabinet iPod dock/radio. The last couple of days it has been acting strange and not sure if its the iPod or the iHome! When I put the iPod in the dock, the screen of the iPod changes to an all white screen with a big check mark in the middle. At the bottom of the screen it will say OK TO DISCONNECT. When I try to play music, it won't. If I have it in the dock and the power of the iHome is off, the thing will turn itself on by itself! Today I kept hearing weird sounds coming out of my kitchen and this was the case! The ihome turned on by itself and the iPod was trying to play some music but the music kept skipping.
Now the iPod plays perfectly in the car or if I plug my headphones into it.
I have never seen do this before and I am not sure if the ipod or ihome needs to be serviced.

I would have the jack replaced. Use a third-party repair service via Google. It will be cheaper than Apple.

JDesktopPane acts WEIRD when JOptionPane.showInternalInputDialog is called

I have just tried to convert my program from using all JFrame's and JDialog's to using JInternalFrames with the JDesktopPane.
I have been able to sucessfully change everything, unfortunately when I call JOptionPane.showInternalInputDialog it causes some very strange behaviour.
Basically it appears to create another instance of the desktopPane and display portions of the original destopPane to the right of where it should be. I cannot understand what is causing the problem. I don't think it will help but the code is as following

ITunes acts weird when syncronizing.

All of the songs in my iTunes library are on my fifth generation iPod. When I sync to iTunes it seems to remove about 100-105 song then re-syncs them to my iPod, the songs are always still on my iPod they aren't missing after this odd occurrence. It also does this with my brothers second generation iPod nano with the same songs. I recently reformatted my hard drive and used the back up discs to restore my iTunes library. What is going on, it did not do this prior to the reformat. Is it just vista or what? Is there a fix? Any help is appreciated.

Had something similar occur myself. Loaded Itunes version 7.2 yesterday and when I tried to sync my 1.82 Nano, got a message that there was insufficient space on the ipod to even just put one song on there from the library. The only way I could get music on to it was by using my playlists, but could not sync all of them and could only load approx 370 songs onto the Nano instead of the normal 450 + artwork I can normally store. Also, Itunes started independently creating it's own playlists entitled Ipod selection #2, #3 etc taken ad hoc from the library, irrespective of whether these songs had been ticked for selection. Managed to delete one of these playlists but there is another in the 'Devices' folder which is impossible to amend or delete. Have been advised to restore the ipod to factory settings but am wondering if this will lose me music. Maybe restoring it may work for you if you've not already tried it?
Can anyone help?

Time Capsule acts weird when i plug my external drive into it

whenever i plug my toshiba canivo 1tb external drive into my time capsule it stops even letting me access the time capsule period in finder and in airport utility it keeps asking for the password even though i know its correct! works fine when drive isnt plugged in and ive been using it with the tc for a while it just started doing this tonight..any suggestions?

You must use a powered hub.. the internal power supply is not able to supply power to the USB drive.
Even if you have an external power supply on the USB drive you might still need a powered hub.. it is way under powered.

JSplitPane acts weird when resized very small

Say I have two JPanels in a horizontal JSplitpane. One is in the left pane, the other the right. Each JPanel sits in another JPanel that uses a Borderlayout, holding a JPanel in the center.
I place the JSplitPane in a JFrame. When I resize the JFrame to the size of a postage stamp, the right JPanel disappears. OK, I can live with that. But when I resize to say 600x800, the left JPanel takes all the room, the divider sits to the far right and the right JPanel is completely hidden. Argh! How can I avoid this? I know there must be a way but how? When I resize the JFrame to a small size, possibly 1cm x 1cm, one of the panels gets lost and upon resizing the divider will be either to the far right or left with one JPanel taking all the room and the other hidden.
Help! My boss is threatening to fire me if I can't fix this. Ok, the last part was a joke but still a solution would be great.

Click-wheel acting weird when connected to speakers.

Hi, folks.
Yesterday I connected my iPod mini to PC speakers and the click-wheel got crazy. When I tried to select anything on screen, the cursor would go up and down dispite of my finger direction.
Is that a problem with my iPod or is there any kind of restriction regarding iPod and PC speakers?
I don't think it's anything on the click-wheel once it works perfectly when not connected to the speakers.

The same thing happens when an active mobile phone (cellphone) is placed near the clickwheel. Because the clickwheel relies on reading elecric charge at a given point, it can be disrupted by electromagnetic fields. Try moving it away from your speakers and see if that helps.

ICal acting weird when I get to the October month

Hi all, I am trying to input an event for the month of october, so when I try to get to October, as I get to october the actual October name disappears and iCal stops working the months don't show up in the top bar and its almost impossible to add an event after october. I was not having this problems before upgrading to snow leopard already tried the com.apple.ical.plist option and its not working. Anyone experiencing the same problem or anyone has any idea how to fix this problem.

Itunes acted weird when opened

I opened itunes today and it asked me to choose a library, I thought that was a bid odd. Why does it do that? I cleared my internet cache etc and that's about all...

Did you by any chance have the shift key pressed when you started iTunes? It is supposed to ask you to choose a library if you do that.

FCP acts weird when trying to Log Canon HV30 footage HDV

Hi all,
I have made my first recording with my new HV30 in HDV format with CINE mode. I had couple of tapes from my old DV Canon and i have rewinded a tape from the beginning and started to record over it. It worked fine an the image are great on the HV30.
I want to use FCP for editing and i am trying to Log and Capture the recording. *My problem is that FCP capture is horrible slow. It does not update the capture window more then couple of time in a min. Sound is way off the video. If use Capture Now it starts capturing and then FCP freezes after one min and i think it does that just after the first scene shift.*
I have tried to capture to USB and internal disk but no difference.
Running Leopard 10.5.2 on a Core 2 Duo 3Ghz
