My zen micro is recognized by my computer, but not firmwa
I have tried the whole uninstalling of wmp and all that and it only makes it so that the driver is no longer installed and the player is no longer recognized at all.
What happened was that I had gone in to recovery mode and pressed reset firmware. Then when I had attempted to reinstall it from creatives site, it said that the device was not connected.
Please someone help =[ I already tried was was said in the sticky above about firmware problems.

1.) Roll back windows media player . reboot. roll back windows media player runtime. reboot.
2.) install windows media player 0.
3.) install firmware update
4.) unplug zen micro from computer
5.) open firmware
6.) select firmware update on zen, click yes and plug in
7.) select language.
aand it worked =D?

My iPod nano is recognized under My Computer but not in iTunes.
I formaatted the iPod nano as FAT32 using the format option when right-clicking on the drive in My Computer.
I installed the latest version of iTunes software. I adopted the five R's approach to resolve my issue. I have wanted to restore the iPod but this option is not available in iTunes, since the iPod is not recognised by the software.

I would be concerned too if my iPod was not recognized by iTunes. If Windows recognizes your iPod but iTunes does not, follow the steps in this article:

Zen Vision M Recognized by XP Pro, but not by Creative Media Organizer or other transfer softw
I have a Zen Vision M. It worked perfectly for months. Suddenly, it wouldn't turn on. I started it in Rescue Mode, did a clean up and several reboots. It started doing a rebuild on every start. Now when I plug it into the USB port, my computer recognizes it. It gives me the portable device icon in the task bar. But, if I try to use it with Windows Media Player 0, Creative Mediasource, Organizer or anything else, it says the device is not connected. I have checked Device Manager, and it shows up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Zen software. I have no issues with device drivers in the Device Manager. It just simply will not show up as connected on any software to transfer music.
If I connect it to the USB, it goes into dock mode. When I boot up any of the software, it shows the docking arrows moving. It's like everything is ok except the one important piece - not being recognized by the various software needed to transfer music.
Please help!? I have a Dell Dimension 8400. I run Windows XP Pro with ALL updates, and SP2. It is completely up to date with all critical updates for XP Pro. This came out of the blue and I have no explanation for it. I hadn't used it for about 3 days, but it worked perfectly up until I turned it on that last time when I got nothing and had to go through all the clean up, reboots, etc. I have done 2 clean ups so far.
Please advise what to do next.

I followed all the steps and changed the registry key on "everyone" as the instructions stated to do. My ZVM is still not recognized by any of the software for transferring or organizing MP3's. My computer still recognizes that it is attached. It still gives me the device icon in the task bar. It still says it's A-ok in the Device Manager. It does everything, except it is not detected by ANY of my music software. <sigh>? Frustration is at its peak for me right now. I really appreciate all of the efforts. I'm at my wits end now. I have done everything you have indicated I should, but am getting the same results. I did purchase an extended warranty from Circuit City where I purchased this last summer. Is that the next step? Do I need to get this replaced?I love this player and really don't want to go through this again. We had to exchange it twice in the first month because it froze up and wouldn't do a thing. This last one has been perfect. I keep it in a leather padded case at all times. It never has the battery drained. It never gets jostled or bumped or dropped or anything that might damage it. When not being played, it stays on my desk in the case.

Zen V Plus recognized by device manager, but not by Media Explorer/Windows Media Pla

I just got back from Best Buy after buying a Creative Zen V Plus. I installed everything from the CD and plugged in the player, but the Media Explorer doesn't recognize it (even after restarting PC). The Device Manager recognizes it but there's an exclamation mark next to it. The Windows Wizard came up numerous times asking me for permission to connect to the internet and install the driver for me, and after a while I tried doing so but it said it couldn't find anything (I would like to shave that wizard's beard off).
I went through all the stickies in the forum and about 3 different troubleshooting sessions with no luck. I googled it and asked this question on Ask Yahoo!, but no luck yet.
Here's my PC info:
Windows XP SP2
768MB Ram
Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
USB 2.0 (I tried different ports, the player does seem to be charging as there's a little lightning bolt flashing on top of the battery icon)
I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

My iPod Touch is recognized on my computer but not by iTunes
My computer sees my iPod Touch but iTunes does not! It still sees my old iPod Nano though.

My Nano is being recognized on one computer but not on the other?
I bought a Nano last October. Connected to my HP Pavilion ze5700 laptop. Everything was working well. Some thing went wrong with the screen couple of months ago. Send the Nano back and got a new one. Loaded the latest software. Plugged the new Nano. Hear the sound of plugging (ding!), but the new Nano isn’t being recognized! Other plug-ins (e.g.: flash card digital camera, etc.) are being recognized!
For the first time, loaded the latest software on a second laptop (Toshiba Satellite). Plugged the new Nano. Everything works. The new Nano is being recognized on the second laptop.
What do you suggest!

This has been going on for about a year and I've been able to fix it (but now I can't remember how) but now nothing will work. I connect it and this message pops up and asks 'Do you want to scan and fix iPod?' and I click 'continue without scanning' (because clicking scan and fix does nothing) and then my iTunes freezes. I don't know what to do!
Next time you plug your iPod in, ignore the Scan and Fix message. Click the Start Menu and type "cmd" into the search bar. Then click on the appropriate Command Prompt application that appears in the results.
Then inside the command prompt type chkdsk [driveletter]: /f and then hit Enter. So if you iPod's drive letter was g you would type chkdsk g: /f.
This should resolve the issue of the scan and fix prompt.

Iphone is not recognized in My computer but it is able to connect with iTunes
I couldn't find a way to copy the photo taken by my iphone (saved in camera roll) to my PC.
i'm using Window 7,
everytime when i plug my iphone device into PC (is a compaq actually) it is able to connect to itunes（as it will actomatically sync)
but is not recognized under My computer (there is no icon showing under it, but it is able to recognized my pendrive)
i tried to went to the control device, delete the iphone icon and reinstalled it but here comes another problem

i have recently changed my ipod touch 4generation screen. i ahve done this multiple time without a problem and this time was the best ive done. when i plug in my ipod, it shows up in "my computer" but not in Itunes. if the ipod shows on my computer, its not the cord. i tried multiple hard shut downs and they did nothing. i have completely reset the ipod to defualt settings from the general setting in the device twice saving my info in drop box and icloud as back ups but that also did nothing. the ipod works perfectly fine by itself however the camera wont load. also, when i plug the device into my windows computer, even though there are pic and videos; my computer says there arent any. someone please help!!!!!
