My zen neeon 5gb always needs to be formatted everytime i connect

i have a zen neeon 5Gb with no travel charger ( not bundled)
so i usually charge it with my pc's usb, but my neeon always like corrupted everytime i need to re-charge
the "corrupted" status is like i can't access it from windows explorer, and my windows hangs everytime i connect my neeon
so what i did is always put the neeon into recovery mode and format the firmware again,then the problem's solved
but i always need to did this almost everytime i connected it to my pc, which makes i need to copy all my mp3s again
and again everytime i want to charge it...
this is very tiring..helps please...

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Zen Neeon 4Gb - 'no music' message after format

I formatted my Zen Neeon 4gb as it seemed to have lost some storage capacity.
After copying music to the device, the Zen says 'no music' when browsing on the device.
How do I resolve this?

You could trying burning the CD using another program like WMP.

Zen neeon firmware need

mine is zen neeon ..Accidentally i've format my player now i dont have any drivers or firmwares...there are firmwares and drivers in the creative download page ..but they are'nt supporting windows 7....Can anyone give me a Solution..

You may need to look for a computer with an older OS that works with the firmware update. Check the requirements under the release notes. The (compatible) OS for you to run the firmware is listed there.
For ZEN Neeon 52MB/ GB/ 2GB? the requirements are:
Microsoft? Windows? XP, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium or Windows 98 Second Edition<
USB . port (USB 2.0 recommended for faster transfers)<
For ZEN Neeon 5GB/ 6GB?:

Zen Neeon 'Frozen' at Creative Logo when inserted into U

add me to the list of people who's Neeon freezes at the creative logo when connected to a USB port.
I've tried to boot into the recovery mode, and the device appears as a 'player recovery device' however when the firmware update tries to update, the 'player recovery device' disappears, and windows tells me a USB device has malfunctioned and that i should re-insert it. which then makes the firmware update fail, as it loses the connection to the player.
My Neeon is now a couple weeks expired from the 2 month warranty. as i bought it last year for my Xmas present. which means i'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight now as the knowledge base doesn't help me one bit and e-mail support wasn't exactly helpful either, as i only ever got replies that needed the player to connect to the PC. when it's not even getting to the stage where it will talk to the PC properly.
i've always supported creative players, as they're about the same price as the consumer-tastic ipods, but offer many more features, and then this happens as soon as the warranty expires, which is really just like a kick in the face.
if there's any way to workaround this that anyone knows of, i would love to hear from you, because i'd rather not have to spend any money to buy another player. (and chances are, it won't be a creative one)

Zen Neeon "Deleting" H

Hi,
I have a Zen Neeon, 5GB, and was trying to delete?one track, selected delete on the menu, which asked me to delete again, and I said yes. However, I am not sure if I have deleted my whole music library or not. The problem is that the player screen has since then said "Deleting..." so far going on fi've hours, and I only had about 500 songs. Should I wait it out, or does this require going into a recovery mode as described in the Knowledge Base? Is there anything else I can do to get the player to function again? Thanks for your help in advance!!

I had the problem too and had to reset the player (just reset, not relaoad firmware). Now it works fine - and I now delete any tracks I want to delete via MediaSource rather than on the player itself. I've had no problems doing it that way.

Zen Neeon - updating cont

Zen Neeon was working fine, PC crashed whilst it was connected, now when you turn the Neeon on it goes from the flashing introduction screen, to 'Loading music', to 'Updating content' but then freezes on 4 bars. Have tried resetting it but it just keeps doing the same. When its connected to the PC, the PC recognises the device but doesn't show any files or allow anything to be copied onto it. Any suggestions? Its 2 months old and infrequently used. Help! Thanks.

Zen Neeon - Transferred Files Always Garg

Hi there -
If anyone could help me with this one, it would be much appreciated, as it has got me stumped!
I recently bought a ZEN NEEON 5 Gb off ebay, via Singapore.
I have installed the software included, but everytime i transfer mp3s (all of these are either 60kbps-320 kbps) they play 'gargled', with stutters and phut! noises sounding every couple of seconds.
The funny thing is, my friends's computer and my sister's both transfer the files absolutely fine!
Therefore there seems to be some conflict between my PC and the Zen Neeon firmware!
Please someone help me before I get too angry and sell this nice, small mp3 player for, dare I say it, an Ipod!

I have this exact problem and i'm having no success in sorting it out. I have even purchased a USB expansion card in the hope it was just a conflict with the USB ports on my motherboard, but without any luck (it made no difference).
I have found that if i set the USB ports to USB .0 in the bios I can get "better" transfers, but still not great (not to mention the terrible transfer speeds.)
Do you know what type of motherboard you have, as it would be nice to try and find a common component. I have a gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2.
I have two suspicions for the cause of the conflict:
) the nforce2 bus
2) a conflict with the SI32 SATA controller (my system dri've is an SATA hdd) and the way it interacts with the nforce2 bus. What i believe is happening is the SATA controller is hogging the bus and the USB port is getting corrupted as a result.
Having said that, two previous ipods, my digital camera, USB flash discs and my samsung phone all work perfectly with the computer.

I had my Zen micro 5gb,
yesterday when i try to upgradedit firmware but it hangs.
then the player become in recovery mode..and it showned firmeware problem..
I tried to download the new firmware, however, itry to upgraded it agaian, it show, player was not connected..
i try a lot time, still not function.
It was not detected by my computer, but it become a portable devide with 20 mb storage only..
Now i had tried roll my WMP to 0 but still not helpful.
ANY Way can help?
I had chosed the reload firmware,, but the problem was my pc not respond to my player..
REALLY TRIED to search the solution.
where is the service centre in KL, Malaysia?

Major problem solved.
Already upgraded to new firmware.
I do it by:
1. uninstall all creative application and plugin.
2. using registry cleaner to clean the registry.
3. downgrade WMP to WMP0
4. Detected by WMP as MTP device, loading firmware upgrade, closed WMP. upgraded.
Now it Working fine already, just still have some problem is:
. Only WMP can detect it, all creative application can't detect it..

ZEN NEEON 6GB - SNR changed to 98

Recently, Creative had added a 6GB Zen Neeon to their Mp3-player segment. I noticed that the Signal-to-Noise Ratio of this new player has changed from 90 dB to 98 db! Is this a fault on the new specifications page, or was this intended? (so, the new Zeeon has a new sound chip in it or something?)
My questions to Creative:
Is the SNR of the Zen Neeon really 98 db?</LI>
Is the new 6GB Zen Neeon still laggy as the Neeon 5GB in menus, or less laggy?</LI>

Regarding your e-mail, did you use the form on the website, and did get an auto-response back? You should always get an automated e-mail back with some tips, if they don't help, check over the e-mail as you generally need to reply to that to let them know, so someone will deal with you directly.

Zen Neeon 6GB (USB Probl

Hi,
I bought a zen neeon 6gb a few days ago. There were no problems at first but now.......
When I plug it into my laptop, it's as if nothing was plug in!
Same thing when I used the desktop in my office, I've changed another usb cable, I've pushed the reset button & nothing seems to work. Downloaded "Zen Neeon Firmware .0", also didn't work.
So what now? I'm still waiting for the support team to reply my email.

Can no longer access my menu on Zen Neeon

I have upgraded to the .009 firmware so now my zen neeon loads quicker and skips tracks quicker but now when I press the scroll button to access the menu nothing happens except it resets to the first track on my player.
I've tried resetting my player. I've created playlists which I can't access. I just can't get to my menu!!!!
Do I need to do a recovery mode rescue?

Thanks for the reply Edmeister. All the tabs take a moment attempting to load, then the Inbox Preview screen pops up. I have even uninstalled FF and reinstalled it. I've checked my settings even though I've made no changes in months. Again, the mail box has never had a problem until about 2 weeks ago. Fortunately, I can retrieve my mail through my old Eudora program and do the house keeping through IE8. Just wish I knew what has changed, i.e., my fault or a program.

how to output sound from Zen Neeon to speaker directly?
as far as i know, i can only play content in my mp3 player using speaker with usb cable connected to pc
i just wonder how i play using "play" button in mp3 player and the sound will output to speaker directly?
need extra line-in cable?

my speaker system is subwoofer,but i not very sure it's 2. system.
the cable from the speaker is slightly too big to connect to the player headphone jack. and no sound come out after i play.
why?
