My Zen Vision M is frozen at the Recovery Mode.....HELP!

Everytime i switch on my Zen that is fully charged, the recovery mode appears and i get four options.(clean up,format all..etc)But when i choose one option it just says Formatting.... and it freezes? everytime i choose an option.My computer does not even recoginze my player and i am stuck with the recovery mode??I've also tried reseting it many time but the recovery mode still apperars? Pease HELP...................

I am having the exact same problem. I even replaced my hard dri've and still can't get out of recovery mode. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have a Zen Vision M 30GB that is stuck in Recovery Mode. I have tried ' Cleaning ', ' Formatting ' and ' Reload Firmware ' but none of my 3 computers in which it was previously used recognise the device. The computers have Win Xp Home, Win xP Pro and Win 7 Pro, 64-bit. I could get it to connect once to my Win 7 and I set the firmware down to .4 ( I think), as I have read that latest Firmware .20 does not recognise some of the new batteries with 400 mAh and 700mAh batteries. I have tried the MP3 Recovery Tool, Creative Wizard tool but none work. Would appreciate any suggestion. I had installed .4. and in the Recovery Mode, it dispalys v0.0.6. I have Creative Zen Vision M Media Explorer installed in both, my Xp Home desktop and Xp Pro ( not 64-bit) in my laptop. I will check which version of WMP is installed in my Xp systems.
On many occasions, all 3 computers (including Win & Pro 64-bit) signalled ' Un-recognised USB Device many times but now nothing happens and I can operate the touch pad of the Zen even when it is connected to the computers !!

After having to reset my Zen Vision M, it now rebuilds the library every time I turn it

My Vision M froze on me about a month ago, and I had to reset it to get it to turn off and back on. When I reset it, it went through the whole Rebuilding process, and then was on again. But half of my music was missing. And now every time I turn it off and turn it back on, it goes through the rebuilding process.
Is there a way to make it stop this. I use it in my car, and every time I get in, I listen to the radio while it's rebuilding. And then I end up forgetting that I even have it with me. Having to wait a few minutes to listen to my music, when I usually only have a little more than a few minutes to listen to music when I use it on my way to and from work, makes it nearly useless.
If I format it back to factory settings, will it fix this issue? Or am I just going to need a new MP3 player? Those Zen Vision W's sure do look really nice. But I don't have the money for that. I'd prefer to just find a fix for this.

It could help to update the firmware, and try the Clean Up option in the Recovery Mode menu:

Hopefully that Clean Up option should clear that problem for you. If it doesn't, it might help to do a full format of the unit before you transfer music back to it. That will remove everything on the player though, so back your music up if you haven't done so already.

Zen vision M cant get out of recovery m

my zen vision is completely useless!! it is not recognized by any computer, it wont get out of the recovery mode, i cant format because it says hardisk problem, i cant load?firmware because its not recognized by my computer. i am utterly disgusted by this. am i forced to throw this $250 equipment in the garbage. this is unbelievable. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING MODERATORS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN THEY DONT HELP?? i think my best bet is to switch to an IPOD. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASEEEEE HELP ME.

If you're needing an out of warranty repair, send an email via the email form under "Contact Us" and "Technical Assistance." State clearly you are out of warranty and have a failed hard dri've. Gi've them your product's name, model number, and serial number, and an advisor will reply back with a repair quote and instructions on how and where to ship your player.

My app is frozen in the "waiting" mode while downloading

I downloaded an app and it is frozen in the "waiting" mode. I have tried going to the App Store, clicking on update and purchased, but it already says it's installing. Any suggestions of how I can get this app to complete the download?

I've seen this happen a couple times. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have a valid network connection, Wi-Fi preferred.
Make sure that you are signed in to your iTunes Store account.
Restart the device.
Tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. Verify that the device is not performing an iCloud restore.
If multiple apps are waiting, tap one app to either pause or force it to try to reload.
If these options do not work then you should call Apple, 800-MY-IPHONE and ask for more assistance

Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

When i was trying to update my iPhone 5s to the latest version of ios 8.1 , it required more space so i had to delete data manually, meanwhile i was doing so the phone got stuck and went off & when it came on again i found it on the recovery mode ??

here is what happened with me exactly :-
I plugged in my phone into the charger & connected my phone to a wireless connection to start the operation of updating it, I immediately noticed that I dont have the required space to proceed the download so i had to delete data manually, & meanwhile i was doing so my phone became slow and it got stuck then it went off after that it came on again but it was on the recovery mode ??

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

hello everyone, as I have stated above, I have an Iphone 4G realtively new, just 3 months of use. I've never dropped it, nor got it wet. The problem is that the screen just one day went black and displays the apple logo, when I do the recovery mode everyway possible the screen shows the itunes link but the pc doesn't acknowledge it.. I have recently synced my photos to my regular computer- a month ago- and then the hard disk of the computer had burnt and my photos are gone because i didn't turn on the back up option before all of that happens

hello guys,
i tried to install the latest version that software update informed me which was 7.1 something today, normally for me it would just go directly to the loading bar, but this time it shut down and went to the recovery mode or whatever(just telling me to connect to itunes)
because i hardly use itunes, i uninstalled it ages ago, but it seems like theres no way i can get out of this thing without installing one, so i installed the latest version itunes. when i connected my iphone to my laptop(windows), itunes responded "the phone software update server could not be contacted".
i had no idea what that was

Your problem is that you've hacked your phone to unlock it. Apple warns that if you do this things may not work properly or work at all. Unfortunately, there is no support for hacked iPhones here, per this forum's terms of use.
You'll have to go elsewhere for help.
