My ZenMicro refuses to recharge or turn on...

I have a 2 year old grayscale 5GB ZenMicro. I sent it in for warranty repairs last year for a minor problem, but not it has a worse problem
I was listening to a song and noticed the battery was critically low. I plugged in the wall outlet adapter, paused the song, and then plugged the power cord into the unit. I then tried to unpause the unit but nothing happened. I checked if "lock" was on, it wasn't. I also then noticed that it didn't show the "charging" icon, and it was not glowing like it usually does when plugged in. I unplugged it and replugged it, nothing happened, the device was totally frozen. I unplugged it and took out the battery to reset the thing. I put the battery and cord back in, then turned it unit back on. It went to the "Low Battery" screen, which was odd because it was plugged in...
I realized it simply was not detecting the power cord, so changed outlets with no luck, and I then I tried the USB charger on it; no luck.
Now my ZenMicro's battery is totally depleted and can't even show the "low battery" screen, let alone turn on. Neither power cord does anything to the unit, I even left the unit plugged in for 5 hours to see if any part of it would heat up, which usually happens, but when I picked it up it was stone cold. It's as if the power connector in the device is broken or something :'(

A hard reset would not affect the mass memory so your pictures should still be there if that's where they are saved, but I know that the mass storage on the x6 has failed sometimes so taking it for repairs straight away would be the best option.

    Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.  You might need to hold the buttons for as long as a minute.

On the next morning i smells burnt toxic gas & i realized that my dock charger cable were merely MELTED, same goes to my Dock Connector. But thank God that my phone was 100% charged and still ON. After that I tried to recharge it again just to test it, & its NOT CHARGING & my iTunes dont detects my phone. So then, that was d last 100% battery dat i used my phone b4 my phone went DEAD.
    After dat, i replaced d damaged Dock Connector & Loud Speaker Buzzer coz i assumed dat my phone was fine other than these 2 damaged parts. Since my battery was 0% & d phone was OFF, so I tried to recharge it using d newly installed parts, and IT CHARGES!
    BUT! after 4-5% of charging, usually most iPhones will turn ON automatically and it STOP CHARGING! and my phone starts to GETS OVERHEAT on d motherboard side! It seems that my iPhone ONLY CHARGING IN TURNED OFF MODE! After d 4% drained completely, it will charges until 5% & stops charging again when d phone turns ON automatically!
    Then i tried to replace using another battery dat have some amount of charges, my phone turns ON and functioning NORMALLY. But IT WONT RECHARGES & SYNCS when i connect with the cables & it starts getting overheats again. But it charges if it turned OFF. I assumes dat it was not either d Dock Connector nor Battery was d problem.
    So I suspects dat d Motherboard was damaged bcoz d Liquid Damage Indicator on d damaged Dock indicates dat water was entered d phone, & d motherboard gets overheat while tries to recharge.
    But if d motherboard was damaged, how come my phone still fuctioning normally if using a charged battery? I tried to make a Call, 3G Surfing, Play Music etc & it all works fine!
    After doing some researchs, now i suspects dat d Power Management Unit IC was damaged. It iz bcoz dat it gets overheats specially on d PMU IC part.
    So i sent my phone to replace d PMUIC, & i still waiting & hopes dat it is d last resort to my phone problems...

    On two separate occasions since I have owned it I have let my iPhone run flat. On both occasions it has refused to start up or acknowledge the charge. Obviously it did in the end. I even took it back to the shop the first time where of course (sod's law) it immediately behaved itself and made me feel stupid. Am I expecting it to fire up too quickly after a complete discharge. How long before the Apple shows and it switches on? Is there a known fault? This last time a soft reset seemed to work.

    I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
    But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
    You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry.

  • Blinking battery icon and refusal to recharge

    every time I turn off my one-month-old 1G nano, a large battery icon blinks "charging," and it's not even hooked up to the USB, AC adapter or other power source. when it is plugged in, the tiny battery with a lightening bolt blinks endlessly, but never gets full. all I can do is keep the nano permanently attached to my computer or watch it slowly die. the screen never goes blank. it's either full "on" or "charging," from the air I must assume. i've done the 5 Rs dozens of times each over the past couple hours. it's maddening! any ideas?

    You may want to format your iPod:
    Connect your iPod.
    Open "My Computer".
    Find your iPod's listing there.
    Right-click it, and click on "Format".
    Start the formatting in "FAT32". Make sure that "quick format" is un-checked.
    After this formatting process is complete, make sure to perform a restore on your iPod to finish this.

    I have an old 13" Macbook laptop (all white, if it makes any difference) from 2008 that up until a couple of months ago worked great but then the battery started to not charge.     Try resetting the iPad:
    Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

  • Ipod Touch does not want to turn on after I Restored from Backup to recover notes

    I was trying to restore a note in the notes app and followed these instructions
    If you synced your notes from iPhone while these notes were still on it and you haven't synced again since they were deleted, you may be able to recover them by restoring your phone to your last backup (the backup includes notes). This will revert your settings and data to those contained in the backup (not just notes) so be sure to save any more recent data prior to restoring). To do this:
    1. Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
    2. Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.
    3. When this finishes you can go back to iTunes>Prerferences>Devi ces and re-enable automatic syncing.
    That you may recover the notes.
    When I try to turn on my ipod after that it wont turn on and turns itself back off. I did try connecting it so it can recharge then turning it on but it wont turn on. I dont wnat to restore and I want to find another solution or way to resolve this problem. When i plug it into the recharger iit wont connect to itunes or turn on. Please help? Thank you.

    I finally clicked and held the power and home button and connected to itunes and now am in iPod recovery mode. Thank you.

    Sounds like a hardware problem.

  • Nokia 800: issues while recharging

    I am the happy owner of a brand new 800 and I really like it.
    Alas, I use "WhatsApp" a *LOT* but it eats battery power like hell.
    I'd not mind too much, as most of the time I can recharge the machine all of the time. The problem is: I cannot USE it while I am recharging!
    If the screen gets blocked, I have to detach the recharger and turn the phone off and on in order to be able to unlock it.
    Then, when I want to do something, the touch screen seems to be completely pooched while recharging. No touch screen issues normally though, just while recharging.
    Any ideas, solutions, workarounds?

    If I try to use different Nokia charger (eg. for older Nokia phones) with my Lumia 800 I have same issue like blocked touchscreen and so on.
    I tried this older Nokia charger also on HTC Windows phone and experienced same blocking behavior, so I guess older Nokia charger don´t work with Windows Phone...

    I bought my iphone5 in Feb, and in Apr, i found the camera is disable. I went to Paris Louvre apple store for repaire. And finally, I was told that it could not be fixed, and they replaced me a "new" one.
    But after, i found that each time, when i ran out of battery and recharge, phone turns to very hot. but if i cool it down, everything is fine again. However, just 2 wks ago, it was completely dead after too hot experience. I went to Apple store louvre to ask for repair again. but they refused to do so even it is still in garantee. They wanted to charge me like 250euro. Excuse they gave to me is that because i had water damage. My godness, i never put in water and also water never comes on my iphone.
    I just had no way to do so. Could anybody have similar problem? phone turns to hot after charge? do you dudes have anyway to complain? I am thinking that, because of iphone5 is ceased for produce, them they try to use the way to just wrap consumers.
    In the strange countries, with my phone dead. How can i do? comment je fais?

    One end of the cable you get with the new phone has the lightning adapter.  the other has a USB plug.  I guess it will fit the same usb port of any other charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket in the car but I could be wrong

  • Ipod touch stuck at "low battery screen" when fully charged? help please

    ok before i go into any detale here its not low battery and im refusing to recharge it. ok i have had my ipod touch 3 1/2 months, and about 3 weeks after my update to the 2.0 software, since a few days ago it has randomly gone to the low battery please recharge screen even if it was on full battery, i would have it playing music then when i would be finnished i would put it into sleep for around an hour (wifi, fetch and location services off) and when i come back to it it is stuck at the scrren with the low battery with the tiny red bit flashing. it also happens when i turn it off completely and when i did charge it i left it charging for around 3 hours just to be sure and still the same, usually after 30 mins of constantly turning it off and on again i would see the apple logo and it will start fine saying it has full battery ect... i would try and restore or something but when its in the strange mode

  • Sharing 1 iTunes library on a network

    I have recently added a new Airport Extreme (n) to my setup and now have a usb hard drive.
    I want to use this drive to host my itunes library and therefore make it always available to the computers in our house.
    We have 2 macs (10.4.8) and 1 pc (running xp sp2)
    I have managed to transfer the music library from my MacBook to the network drive and can play music ok.
    The other computers cannot see the library in itunes.
    Can someone please give me some guidence on what to do, I have searched this forum but can't see an answer that t fits ( given my limited abilities)

    Not easy because in order to open just one library file you would have to be running the same version of iTunes on all computers which would be limited to the lowest version supported by your computers (the G3).  Try to open a iTunes 10 library with 9.2.1 and it will refuse. This in turn might not support your equipment.  Even if you can do this you would have to make sure only one copy of iTunes was running because the library file cannot be opened by multiple copies of iTunes at the same time.

  • I am VERY disappointed with Verizon FIOS and service

    I was a contented Comcast customer for years.  Then FIOS came around with "an offer I couldn't refuse".  Now it turns out I should have.  In the past few months there have been two major problems with On Demand.  First, all the HD programs On Demand disappear for months.  Now, On Demand will not save my place.  If I exit a program/movie or if I pause it and it times out, I have to start from the beginning.  A real pain if I'm an hour into something.  I called and was told they knew about it and it would probably be fixed the next time an update was applies which was "every few months".
    What the heck!  No wonder it took so long for the HD to come back.  They only do updates every few months, even if there's a major problem.
    Add to this the fact that I have to wait on hold ten to fifteen minutes any time I call for support.  This NEVER happened to me with Comcast.
    I really am disappointed.

    I agree ... their customer service has gone down the toilet to boot. Have you found an email address for customer service(?) as their live chat to india is useless. I often wonder if they money they save is equal to the customers they lose?? every email & text update i get from them is also in spanish which is like salt to my wounds...

  • Macbook Pro won't start up - Mountain Lion won't install

    I have a Macbook Pro from august 2012, today it just crashed. I tried to fix it with disk utility, but it told me that I need to reinstall Mountain Lion, because disk can't be fixed. I then tried to reinstall Mountain Lion but at first it didn't let me select the Macinosh HD, (I also have windows on it, that partition couldn't be selected either), then I restarted and when I tried reinstallation again, it didn't even showed me The Machitosh HD partition anymore. I tried NVRAM and safe boot too, without success. Can anyone help? Thanks,

    You installed Leopard on battery power? That's a real big no no. A very risky gamble at best.
    If your battery died during install, you may well have totally hosed the system.
    After recharging i turned on mac and wont boot up past the apple with dots hovering it. Don't know much about macs so if you could help it would be appreciated.
    See if you can boot into the Leopard DVD (hold down "C" on boot) and after the language screen, on the top left will be a menu. Select Utilities, run Disk Utility and repair your HD and permissions.
    See if that gets you somewhere.
