MyiPod automatically repeats songs when plugged into new Buick

My iPod touch automatically repeats songs when connected to 2014 Buick Enclave. I have to manually disable repeat function every time I switch to a new album or playlist. Any suggestions? Thanks

Have you done anything like updates to the car system or iPod since it last worked?
You can try:
- Resetting the car system
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
  - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • IPod erases songs when plugged into port.

if anyone happens to know why an iPod shuffle would erase the songs off of it every time it plugs into the computer, can you let me know? It's really annoying me. It's probably just a setting I'm missing, but I'm unable to check right now. Thanks a lot.

    Hi latriste,
I had the same problem when I thought I could delete songs from my hard drive and connect my shuffle (with those songs still on it). When I did connect my shuffle, it updated itself, and the songs I didn't have on my HD were deleted from my shuffle.
Apparently, a shuffle is different from the other ipods because you can't set it to 'manually update' itself.
Here is my recent thread where I asked a similar question:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=476453&tstart=0
In short, with a shuffle, you need to keep all your music on your computer for it to stay on your ipod.

  • How do I get my iPhone 5 to stop automatically launching Music when plugged into my car USB port?

For quite some time, my iPhone has been set to automatically launch Music -- on the first song listed alphabetically -- as soon as I plug it into my car's USB port, which I use both for connectivity and for charging. It's enough to have made me hate a song I used to love: if I hear the opening riff of "The A Team" one more time I think I'll throw the phone out the window!! LOL Seriously: I've seen fixes for this in other posts, which apparently referred to older versions of iTunes, and required the "Stop AutoPlay" function to be initiated OUTSIDE the device, in iTunes on the synchronizing computer. That makes no sense to me. I've searched but cannot find a current fix. Am I eternally doomed to suffer this annoyance? Thanks!

Disable any security software on the computer and try again.

  • IPhone has 175 songs but iTunes says it has over 600 when plugged into computer

    On my iPhone4:
In the Settings > General > About - My phone says it has 175 songs
When plugged into a Mac with iTunes my phone reports that it has 175 songs under the tab 'On This iPhone'
But, in the Summary tab, if you hover the mouse over the Audio area it says 665 songs.
My phone is nearly full and I think this must be the culprit because I don't store much on my phone. So I am trying to figure out if there is a Deleted Music folder somewhere? Why is iTunes reporting so much music on my phone.
I only have a handful of podcasts so that isn't it either.

my ipod nano4th gen will not download the purchased songs in itunes v11.  Just upgraded to mac 10.6.8-won't synch new songs since this upgrade.  The ipod is seen in the itunes as the devise, and the nano screens says synching when plugged into the macmini usb port, but the itunes window does not say it is synching like it has before so whats the culprit? Techno virgin in distress!
PS - I added an iphone5 which is whay these upgrades happened so this synching to the ipod error is since the iphone began synching.

I just learn in some post that the most common lapses in syncing is not checking if "sync music" in music section of the ipod is ticked. So double check if it is. Cheers!

  • MY iPhone 5C suddenly stopped working. It wont connect to my Mac and repeatedly reboots from the apple Logo when plugged into the wall. Help!

MY iPhone 5C suddenly stopped working. It wont connect to my Mac and repeatedly reboots from the apple Logo when plugged into the wall.
There is no water damage or anything. I got that checked at the Apple store. I also have Apple Care + but didnt let them give me a new one yet because I have photos on this that I have no yet backed up that are very important. They are the last photos I have with my grandfather. Can anyone help me. Please!

If the phone shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, the data on the phone is most likely lost.
Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

  • My new iPad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. Any suggestions?

my new ipad mini will not charge when plugged into adapter. What should I try?

Does the charger get warm at all? Plug the cable into your computer with iTunes open. Does it say not charging.? If it does, the cable is good. The iPad will charge very slowly when pluged into your computer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. It sounds very very much like the battery. You will need to have it replaced. If you put the failing one in yourself you will need to pay as your Warranty is now void.

  • My new USB 3.0 external drive isn't accessible over network when plugged into my Time Capsule.

It is a Seagate Backup Plus 3 TB desktop drive. Every other (USB 2) drive has worked like this, and this one works when plugged into my computer directly. I tried asking Seagate about it, but they said it was an Apple problem if the drive works when plugged directly into my computer. Besides, USB 3.0 is supposed to be backwards compatible, right?
My Time Capsule software is up to date, but is there some software difference between my 2009 MacBook Pro and my 2008 Time Capsule that allows my computer to recognize USB 3.0 drives but not my Time Capsule? Anyone have an idea about how to fix this?

Check the documentation on your drive to make sure that it is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) to work with the USB port on the Time Capsule.
Your Mac supports other formats, so it is possible that the Mac can "see" the drive and the Time Capsule cannot if it is not formatted correctly for the Time Capsule.
If you still cannot "see" the drive, it is likely that you will need to use a powered USB hub for the drive...even if the drive has its own power supply.
Your Mac has a high powered USB port, while the Time Capsule port is not high powered.

  • My iPhone won't stop vibrating when plugged into my Macbook.  All software is up to date.  iTunes just gives me an error.  No problems when plugged into a PC.  Why the nonstop vibrating!?

My iPhone won't stop vibrating when plugged into my Macbook.  All software is up to date.  iTunes just gives me an error.  No problems when plugged into a PC.  Why the nonstop vibrating!?

When I connect it to my iMac (with up-to-date OS X Yosemite 10.9.5) - it doesn't work.
Specifically - iTunes automatically launches, but then quickly shows a dialog window that says, "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone. This device is no longer connected."
Meanwhile - on my iPhone - in the upper right-hand corner (where the battery life is displayed) - you can see the "plugged in" icon (lightening bolt) rapidly blinking on and off.
In other words - it seems like, when it's plugged in - it's rapidly connecting and disconnecting (several times per second).
If I click "OK" on that dialog window on iTunes - it instantly pops back up, and continues to do so as long as I keep the iPhone plugged in.
I have tried all and stile did not resolve my problem. I tried to restart both devices, try different cable (I have original cable). Both devices are new and software's are update it on latest versions.
Thanks in advance for any help!

  • How to recover music? iPod only works when plugged into wall outlet

My iPod is probably 5 years old or so. It's been acting up for a while and I stupidly, did not back it up.
The battery was replaced this weekend so it works when plugged into the wall. It will not power on or do anything when not plugged into the wall. When plugged into the wall charger, it can turn on and says it is charging. It can be used then but as soon as it is unplugged, it's dead.
When it is plugged into the computer, it says "Charging. Please wait...". There isn't enough power from my laptop to power the iPod, so my computer doesn't even recognize it. It does not show up in iTunes.
On the brightside, I have a new iPod classic waiting to be used. However, I would VERY much like to get my 90gb+ off of my old iPod first. Is there a way to do this?
I'm at a loss. Some of the files are on there are not anywhere else. I have a few songs by a friend who lost them on their own computer.
Any help would be very appreciated!

Bump. Is there no way to solve this?

  • BSOD when plugging into Dynadock U3

    Hi There,
We have a wide number of Toshiba Dynadock u3.0's working with a number of Sony Vaio Laptops. In the main they have worked pretty well, and have improved over time as new releases have come out.
At the moment we are rolling out the new Sony Vaio Pro laptops, and Dynadock is almost essential for users because the Vaio Pro's do not have an ethernet adapter. We are also downgrading them to Windows 7 from Windows 8 as we are not ready for Windows 8 on a large rollout, and holding off till 8.1 goes live.
We have had a couple of blue screen of deaths on 2 Vaio Pro's when plugging into the Dynadock. Both have the latest dynadock drivers, and we have obtained the memory dump for the machines. Before they were plugged in, they were on the WLAN in the office.
The other half a dozen devices we have in use at the moment have not yet reported this issue, and the BSOD has appeared on these two devices only once each, but I was asked to report this issue on these forums to just confirm there is no obvious issue with the Dynadocks.
In the meantime we have 3 other Vaio pros which are being tested and have not yet experinced the same issue.

I'm having the same problem.  I'm using a new shuffle usb cable in my 2nd generation shuffle and nothing shows up on computer.  I'm wondering if the dock for the second gen is different than the new usb cable direct into the 2nd gen shuffle. I don't have a dock for it.  Before I buy one on ebay I hope someone can assist.
