    HI Jeremy,
I think, Your PATH was cranked up.
The JDBC driver for OLite normally does not use any OCI DLLs, so that should not be the problem. As I said, the OLite dlls may be missing now from the PATH.
Any error messages? "Does not work" is a bit... fuzzy.

  • Applet works in Windows Server and not in Unix server

    My friends,
I have a signed applet working fine in a windows server and a client with win98. When a put this applet in a AIX/Unix server in same win98 client did not work.
The applet call a program in the client by Runtime.exec and a give "error=0".
    Someone can help me ?

Show the code with the runtimeexec line.
Windows file system is different than UNix.
    Windows eg. Runtime.exec (c:/fileToRun.exe)
    *ix eg.          Runtime.exec (fileToRun)

  • No NT logon prompt

VPN Client 3.5.1 on Win2K laptop - dialing ISP's to access 3005. After making a successful connection to the concentrator, user is not prompted for NT logon. "Enable start before logon" is checked in the client Windows Logon Properties - "Allow Local LAN Access" is checked in the client Options> Properties.
Status screen of connection shows "Local LAN Access: Disabled" ???
We have 20+ remote users with the same client on Win98 that work fine.

    This is pretty easy....
Go into the properties of the Connection entry you want to use..(Options,properties)
Navagate over to the connections and check "Connect to the internet via dialup". Browse to the third party dial-up application and click OK. After that, under the same connection entry, go back under options and click on "Application Launcher". Browse to the VPN client executable file called "ipsecdialer.exe". The default path is "C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\ipsecdialer.exe". Put a check next to Enable to enable the feature and click OK. Next, go back into options a select "Windows logon Properties" and enable start before logon, and allow launching of third party application. Click OK, close the client and reboot the machine. If the user is on the LAN, and does not want to use the VPN client, click on close when the VPN client comes up after they hit Ctlr-Alt-Del.
    Hope that helps....

  • How can i post a network message through jdk

many client pc (win98) connected with LAN, i am writing a JDK application, i want to send network message to other PC, what sort of classes i should use for this.
Please guide and give some idea

Actually i made a chatting software with having more
than 10 user. But they can only chat when they use
this chat software made in jdk. The user wants to
know about whether he has received any new message
when he is not running the application but he is
using his desktop.Windows (we are talking about Windows, aren't we?) does not normally have something running on the background that can show the user an arbitrary message coming from another computer. There's the NET SEND stuff, but most people have it disabled.
So, to make this possible, there is no other way than to install a program on the user's computers that runs in the background, waits for messages, and shows messages to the user when they arrive. You simply cannot do this without installing and running a program like that on the user's computers.
An alternative idea is to make your chat program send an e-mail to the user. That way, if a user has an e-mail program running, he/she will get notified of a new message through e-mail. The API in Java for sending e-mail is JavaMail.

I'm pretty sure the Oracle 8.1.7 Client CD I have sitting at my desk says it works on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000
    I can double check

  • Win98 need to resize applet viewer to see forms client

Is there any work around that will aliviate the problem of needing resize the applet viewr (JInitiator) manually to see the java applet?
This is consistent bug and it seems to appear on all of our Win98 clients (WinNT works fine) in both IE 5.0 and Netscape 4.0

There is a work around for this problem by using the resize_window(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW, height, width) you can force the refresh of the applet window. The ability to use the resize_window on the MDI window web deployed was supposedly just made available with patch 5. I had the same problem and this fixed it for me.

  • Zfd7-agent and nw-client 3.40 / win98

    I'm using zfd7 agent on win98 machines with nw-client 3.40 Update B .
After installing zfd7 agent everything worked fine. But after some time the
users see the zfd7-agent console to log in instead of the nw-client console
if they start the win98 machine. This happens with some win98-workstations
    but not with all.
We don't use xtier server elements.
What must I do to fix this problem ?
The win98 workstations should start with nw-client login-console and there
should be no authentification to xtier by the zfd-agent console.
    Cheers,
    k.

  • XP Client browser access to mySAP 2005 apps

This is our first implementation of Mysap EPR 2005. We would like to access SAP using strictly the I.E. 6.0 browser, and have no client-side software installs necessary to avoid the client-side maintenance problems(or use any older technology like an ITS server in R/3). Can this be accomplished?
If so, is there software required on the SAP application server other than a web-server, and what are the bandwidth requirements per user??
And if not, what is required on the client for the 2005 platform ??

Thanks again, I'm starting to get a clearer picture of how it works, but still have a couple questions after looking at this info.
Is it true that it does not support FireFox, only I.E.?
Can one ICM/ICF infrastructure manage access to multiple SAP instances, or does each SAP instance need to build its own redundant ICM/ICF environment to provide access and high-availability?  what's the recommendation ?
Can it also provide access to SAP 4.6 / 4.7 if it was desired to do so ?
Does the ICM/ICF infrastructure run on the Netwweaver box?   Is it required to run on a Netweaver server, or can it run on a SAP WAS, or even as stand/alone server? or what is the recommendation ?
Where does the “Stand/Alone Enqueue” server run ? is it required ? What is lost without it ??
What is exactly required to create a SAP transaction to work in ICM/ICF ?  Does it require a defined published service?,  or a transaction registration? Or ? We do not have an ITS environmnet to migrate so it would be all new development.
    Best Regards,
    Ray
