MySelf system

We have done a copy of one of our BI systems. After the copy we changed logical system name, and ran BDLS to reflect this.
But..now the MySelf system still points towards the system we copied from! The technical name has changed, but when I try to activate it I get the logon screen from the old system!
How can I change this?

BI Admin Cockpit - only for myself system(BI)...?

Dear Gurus,
We are implementing BI admin cockpit in our BI system.
        u2022 When we are installing BI content two datasources, transformations, Info Packages has been installed for every cube -one for myself system(BI) and another one is for ECC source system.
u2022     As per the SAP Note 934848 it clearly tells it is for only myself system, then why SAP provides standard datasources for ECC system.
Please let us know whether we have to load data for only myself system OR for both the system I have to load data?

We are unable to find the job in SM37 in ECC system.

How to Create Myself System?

Hi,
We are using BW 3.5 system and have an infosource that loads its data from itself. So we need to establish Myself Source System.
But in rsa1 trx, our source system is set as a Datamart, which is supposed to be "Myself System".
How do we change our source system from datamart to myself system? Or is there any way to create new myself system?

A BW system can be used as a source system to supply data to the same system or to another BW system.
When it is used as a source system to supply data to itself it is known as myself source system. All the data sources are available in datamart application component.
MYSELF is a special source system and you do not have to create it. Choosing a BW type source system (Create Source system option) will allow you to connect another BW system as source.
When you create datasource based on current source system (for example XML datasource or export datasource) it automatically mentions MYSELF source system.
The name of myself source system is the logical system name that your client has been assigned (in SCC4).

Change Myself system in RSA1 trx after client copy

Hi,
I have installed SCM 2007 system.
As post-processing step i have configured myself system in RSA1 trx in the 001 client.
Now, i want to perform client copy and use that new client 100 as Prod client. What are the steps required to change myself system to point to the new client?

As logical systems are used to define you can use BDLS to convert them after client copy.

Myself system after System copy

Hello,
we have copied our PROD system(SLBWP200) to our DEV system(SLBWD200).
We have executed BDLS tx. After this, in RSA1 the old myself system (SLBWP200) have been renamed to SLBWD200, but the icon show the system as an R/3 system, not as myself system.
We have checked RSBASIDOC table and show this two entries:
SLBWD200 SLBWD200 ACT ZSBD039 000 BD 3 620 .....
SLBWD200 SLBWP200 ACT ZSAA002 000 AA M 620 ......
Any idea?

Which selection did u make ? Client dependent or client independent conversion tables ?
Did you leave the Tables to be converted blank ?
Reactivate all partner agreements that carry the new logical system name after renaming.

How to activate myself system

I have a very basic question. We just installed our BW 3.5 and I am trying to learn how to create an infocube copy. I read that we need a data mart interface in the myself system to transfer data, but I can't find myself system on the source systems tree. Any help is appreciated.

It is surprising to know that you donot have Self system as one of the source. Becasue system creates it automatically . So I hope, sombody might have deleted it. You better contact your Basis guy and ask him to create it. We can follow the same steps that we do in the creation of R/3 as source system .

Migrating myself system datasource

Hi,
Is it true that we cannot migrate datasources of myself BW system (generated, export datasources) to RSDS type?
I know that new RSDS format is not possible for external datasources like Informatica and DB Connect but is it also true for BW myself datasources?
I am getting this error "Export datasource 80PROFIT_CTR(DBWCLNT001) in myself system: Object type RSDS not possible".
I tried both with export and w/o export.

Right click on Data store object-> create transformation ->give the target cube name->give the load option either full or delta-> activate the transformation and load data from ods to cube by clicking execute in third tab
DTP required between DSO and Infocube to handle DELTAS.

Source system with human icon

Hi Friends,
I know this question is silly but here i am, new to BW and trying to learn something each day. In the source systems what is the source system with the human icon on it? If you can provide me links to documentation on that it would be great.

Its the 'Myself' system...
For example, if you are loading data from an ODS into an Infocube in the same BW system, then the same system will become the source system for it.
This source system exists by default.

MD export datasource not shown in MySelf (BW3.5) datasources

A user-defined (simple) InfoObject (NUMC-7), characteristic, has selected 'With Master Data', but NO texts.
It also does not have any attributes, compound characteristics or hierarchies.
So, it is a simple 'table of codes' without any text.
The object is defined as an InfoProvider and the InfoArea is set (and exists). We can see it there.
Also, the 'Characterist. is export datasource' is selected.
The M- and P-tables are generated, the object is activated successfully.
After (several) replication of datasources with the 'MySelf' system and activating the structures (ABAP program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL which we always use after replication), we can not see the generated export datasource (default: "8<objectname>M") in the list when executing RSA3.
Who can help us with this problem?
Did we do something wrong? Or is it not possible because there are no attributes (other objects that have real attributes and no texts are visible in RSA3)?
We need to distribute the values of this object to other BW-systems (which therefore require this export datasource...).

Hi Dinesh,
Yes I did, but as described in the initial description: the InfoObject is visible within the InfoArea defined in the InfoObject (so not in the Unassigned), that is not the problem. Activating an object that is defined as 'export datasource' should, according to my knowledge, be visisble in the RSA3-list.

System copy something missing

Hallo experts,
we have done our first system copy in SAP BW 3.5 (Productive => Testsystem).
After the system copy we have the problem that for the myself DataSource some
transferstructures are missing. There is no mapping between DataSource and infosource and source system. I think therefore there exist no transferstructure and so we have also problems with deleting data from ODS and so on....
Can someone help us. I just repaired it for one infosource with opening the system and make the mapping manual in the testsystem and activate it - but i think this can not be the right way.

Hallo Santra,
you have to execute transaction "BDLS" on your copied system.
The first run should be a testrun only by setting flag "Testrun".
The transaction changes the systemname from "old" to "new" in
table T000 and in all other tables which contains the fieldname "LOGSYS".
This should particularly resolve data mart problems (mySelf system)
you described above.
Furthermore you should check names, rfc connections, etc. of source
systems. Maybe these systems are not used in test environment too
and have to be modified.

Hi,
I dont think so. You may get this error because first you need to convert the base object's dataflow to 7.0 dataflow. In your case convert the 0PROFIT_CTR's dataflow to 7.0 dataflow and then try the 80PROFIT_CTR.

Deltas in source system

hi,
The data sources will supports different types of delta.
In flat file u can achieve deltas using Additive delta ADD ( from ODS to Infocube)
In the R/3 source system different deltas are possible for a data source. Different types of delta methods are available for a source system and u can check in the table RODELTAM in R/3.
Check these tables also Roosource and Rsoltpsystem in the data dictionary.
AIM:
ABR:After Image before Image reverse Image
ADD:Additive delta
CUBE:Used in Myself system
ODS: Used in Myself system

Problem during dataloads from myself datasources

Hi folks,
I'm facing the problem that after a hardware crash and subsequent reboot no dataloads from the myself system are working anymore.I'm getting very strange error messages like I posted hereafter. I have not got a clue what to do. I performed already a restore on the source system and ran "activate_all_transfer_Structure" but in vain. Anybody any idea?

Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLSPIAGENTRFC" had to be terminated because one of
the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Function module "SPI_LS_STAT_START" was called

Data mart cube to cube copy records are not matching in target cube

Need help on the below questions for DATA Mart-Cube to cube copy(8M*)
Its BW 3.5 system
We have two financial cube.
Cube A1 - Sourced through R/3 system (delta update) and Cube B1- Sourced through A1 cube.(Full update). These two cubes are connected through update rules with one to one mapping without any routines.Basis did a copy of back-end R/3 system from Production to Quality server.This happened approximately 2 months back.
The Cube A1 which extracts delta load from R/3 is loading fine. but for the second cube, (extraction from previous cube A1) i am not getting full volume of data instead i m getting meagre value but the loading shows successful status in the monitor.
We tried through giving conditions in my infopackage (as it was given in previous year's loading) but then also its fetching the same meagre volume of data.
To ensure that is it happening for the particular cube, we tried out in other cube which are sourced thro myself system and that is also getting meagre data rather than full data..
For Example: For an employee if the data available is 1000, the system is extracting randomly some 200 records.
