Myspace and hotmail

Hey guys it seems that myspace crashes my safari and hotmail only works half the time. Any clues why? If I need to get another browser, how do I do it?

Not sure about MySpace, but hotmail does have cookies issues with Safari. Removing the cookies (Safari menu > Preferences > Security tab > Show Cookies, search for "live" and remove those) can help; I have found that as long as I remember to _log out_ of Hotmail every time, I have no trouble logging in.
Firefox does not seem to have these issues; Download it from the link below, then drag it to your Applications folder to "install" it.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do without already having the app on your phone.
Having the "Find my iPhone" app on the phone wouldn't help locate it at all. The App is only for locating one iOS device from another. It does nothing to assist locating the device the app is installed on.
For a phone to be trackable, the MobileMe account has to be configured on the device, Location Services needs to be on, the phone needs power and a it needs a network connection.

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

Why is my wife's hotmail account on her iphone draining her battery with usage and standby being the same? My iphone and hotmail does not do this.

My wife and I both have an Iphone 5 and hotmail accounts.
We are on the same wifi and I have restored and reset her phone several times, but whenever I add her hotmail account to her phone, the phone is always in use according to the usage. also the phone becomes warm as if it was in use for several hours. The standby time is only about 2-3 hours before dying. However, removing her hotmail account, stops this. What about the hotmail account is causing this?

What you're describing is the expected behaviour. I believe though that is also is the easiest way to have all the contents available to both of you at all times. If you have a spacious hard drive you should probably allow this to happen as anything else will be harder to manage.
My suggestion would be the following if you want to try something different.
Store all your music at a location that is accessible by both of you — an example would be to use your Public Folder as the locations where iTunes will go and look for all the media files—. Your wife does have access to it.
In the Finder you will need to move the folder name iTunes Music to the location in your Public Folder (see above). Once that's done, you and your wife will have to go into the iTunes Preferences > Advance Preferences and un-check Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library. From this point on, you can continue to use iTunes as usual. You'll need to tell your wife what has been newly downloaded/imported into your iTunes so she can manually go look for those items in that Public Folder iTunes of yours and import them into her iTunes. She will not duplicate by doing that, but, like I say this is an all-manual work.
She can do the same, so you have access to contents she imported herself. One more downside of this is that both usernames have to be active in your iMac. If yours isn't, she won't be able to access any item (song, book, app) located in your Public Folder's iTunes.
I'm sure there's a way, if you have an router with external hard drive conectivity, for both of you to be able to access —independently— the iTunes Media at all times but I was just reading at another post that doing so can further complicate things.

Facebook and Hotmail will not work on my Macbook pro. I have tried safari and firefox. I have unloaded and reloaded an old version of firefox and still no luck. When go to ebay it opens but looks very weird. I am using Mac OS X Version 10.6.6 with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I am so frustrated, I have tried everything I can think of and still no luck.

Good of you to offer the detail you did (a lot of people don't bother) but it still is not quite enough. Texting that it "looks very weird" just leaves me blank. Most basic remedy for browser issues is to use Safari to google "adobe flash" and download a fresh file & install. Can't think of anything else given what you've posted....

After Mountain Lion update, i can't access Facebook and Hotmail websites

When I was with the OSX Lion, everything was fine.
After Mountain Lion update, i can't open Facebook and Hotmail websites.
I already reinstalled the Mountain Lion, but the error still happens. The only way to open these websites is with the private navigation.
Please, help me.

From your Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Safari > Preferernces then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If you still have problems with Facebook, go to the Facebook page then click the downward facing arrow to the right of Home then click Account Settings.
Select Security on the left then click Secure Browsing.
Select the box next to: Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possiblle then click Save Changes.

Push mail is not working for gmail and hotmail on ...

i have been using my nokia e72 since february 2011. i had two mailbox configured, gmail and hotmail. Until last week, everything was fine. but suddenly my push mail stopped working for both gmail and hotmail.
when i noticed this, i removed both of my mailboxes and tried to create a new one. when trying to create a Gmail mailbox, it goes fine upto "downloading terms". after that, when i choose to connect to "nokia messaging service", it creates a mailbox named "HOTMAIL" instead of "GMAIL". it takes only my user name for Gmail and rest of the settings are for HOTMAIL.
if i choose not to connect to "nokia messaging service" then it works quite well. but thats not real push mail. it will check my email every 5 mins. but when tried to create a "HOTMAIL" mailbox, i had no luck. no matter how i try, hotmail mailbox can't download my mail. and as hotmail don't support IMAP, its very disgusting to use "POP3" if i choose not to connect to nokia messaging.
i have tried to reset the phone using *#7370# and *#7730#, but no luck. i also tried reinstalling the firmware using ovi suite, but i didn't had any luck either.
please help me, i am very disappointed with this kind of problem specially from nokia.
someone please do help. i m in a huge mess.

Why is firefox crashing every time I try to compose or reply to email in Gmail and Hotmail?

After I upgraded to Firefox 10, I can open gmail and hotmail, read email, but if I try to compose an email, or reply to an existing one, it crashed. Also, just now when I tried to fill in this box here with firefox, it crashed. I am now using Chrome, and will continue to do so until there is a solution. This crashing thing is more than a little annoying.

Safari and hotmail

HELP! On two separate occasions my mac has decided spontaneously that it does not want to open 'mail'or 'my messages'. It downloads them as an unreadable file instead. It works fine on other computers, and my other hotmail account is ok on this computer. I have reset safari, rpeaired and verified dsck permissions. HELP!

do you by any chance have comcast? My wife uses hotmail and we use comcast - there is a conflict that exists betweent the two - I use apple mail and have no problem sending to anyone but to my wifes hotmail a/c - it's not my mail program. the problem is a conflict between comcast (my isp) and hotmail. my son went to google and found a ton of information on it. I also had it on my work supplies dell laptop when I use comcast web based e mail but not when I use microsoft outlook on it.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.
