Myspace music player doesn't open

I can open and play back music on MySpace with my 2005 imac g5. But my friend cannot open the player (it just doesn't show up, it leaves the space blank) with her 2008 Intel iMac. Is she missing a plug-in?

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Also where are you hosting your site and how are you uploading the files to the server?

Installed OS6, and the music player stops when opening the web browser...

I downloaded and installed OS6 on my iPhone 4 last Thursday. It seemed to be working fine, and then at the gym while listening to music, the player kept stopping whenever I opened Safari. When I got home, I backed up and reinstalled the operating system. It seemed to be fine, but then today, the same issue reappeared. Has anyone had issues with the music player crashing when opening Safari or other apps on OS6

Hmm, looks like launching iBooks shuts down any background audio. Once iBooks is running however you can switch apps, restart the audio and return to iBooks. Provided you don't open a multimedia book like the Beatles Yellow Submarine freebie then you can read without disrupting the audio playback.
I've tried choosing different titles in iBooks, or just the library, then quitting the app, running some audio and starting iBooks again. It repeatedly pauses audio even when iBooks doesn't have any immediate use for the audio channel. As long as you don't actively shut down the iBooks app however you can choose some music as background when you are reading.

BT Player - doesn't open

Just set up my new YouView box today, but the BT player button doesn't do anything ! The remote responds but the player doesn't open. Everything else works ok

sounds like you haven't updated your software, check the box is connected to the homehub and you have internet, you can try using BBC iplayer, if that works then the box has an internet connection.
Then go to settings> device management> check for software update.

ok i found the solution here by deleting the corrupted library

now one of these below is for the music and one for the photos and i didnt have a problem with the photos but did it anyways and now the player can see my music:
these are the files that need deleting in order to get rid of the corrupted library.
Storage Drives: (Mass storage E, Memory Card F)
\private\101ffca9\harvesterdbvx_x.dat
\private\10281e17\[string]mpxvx_x.db
\private\10281e17\[string]pcvx_x.db
TIP: Connect the device in USB mass storage mode (File Transfer), to locate the private folder from the PC.
TIP: STRING and x_x will change depending on your phone. (my files had slightly different names than above on the n97)

5800 Express Music - Music player will not open

Are you able to play the songs from the File Manager in the handset? If yes, try Restore Factory Settings in the handset. Press Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Factory Settings. If you are not able to play the songs even from from the File Manager, then try Hard Resetting the handset. Power Off the handset. Hold the 2 calls (Red & Green) & the Camera key & proceed to power on the device, while holding the three keys (green, red and camera). Keep holding down the 3 keys until after the handshake screen.
Make sure you Back-Up the Phone Data before Hard Resetting the device.

5800 music player unable to open after updated app...

Hi,
I just updated my nokia music player application today via application update. After I updated and restarted it, I tried to open this application but it didn't respond at all (it tried to pop up a new page but then it returned to whatever page I was before) Then, I went to application manager and deleted the metadatautility cenrep ini file because I thought that was the cause from reading the other threads but nothing has changed.
I was able to play the music through the ringtones but not the music player itself.
My phone software version is 31.2.101

check for firmware update with ovisuite/nsu or through fota and if available update it to latest version available.
If this thia doesn't solve youe problem, backup your datas,
Reset phone to factory setting(phone management),
remove memory card,
Remove phone lock code if already set
Open phone dialer,
Type *#7370#
Lock code is 12345 if not changed
Give a soft reset

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
Working now !!!!!

Music button doesn't open up when touched

When you touch the music button my daughter's iPod touch, it doesn't open up so she can't listen to music. All of the other buttons/apps seem to work, just got done syncing the device and checking for updates, but the music button still doesn't open up when you touch it. Any solutions?

Actually, I have sent this video to numerous people with PC and Macs. Macs no problem. So far, PC users are a mix of plays and no play. Music player stucks at "Opening" scanning screen f...

Hi, I used a memory card to transfer about 4.1 gb of music into the sound/digital folder. However, when I tried to open the music player and it scans the memory for music, it just gets stuck at the "Opening" with a moving progress bar. Even after 20 minutes, it would still be in that screen. I had to turn off the phone in order to quit the application. I've tried several times and the same thing happens regardless. Do you guys have any idea on what is wrong with my phone?

well,it seems like that your Music DATA BASE is broken.Try this:
USE the "MASS STORAGE MODE"to connect your phone to the computer,then use the explorer to find this directory:
[MEMORYCARD]:\Private\10281e17,you will see“[101ffc31]mpxv2_2.db”and “[101ffc31]pcv6_1.db”this two files.
Delete them both,then reflash the Music Library.
But!It's the solution in my N78 Decive, if it's not the same with your device, try to find out the data base file then delete them.If you can do it , the last way is to format your MEMORY CARD,is the best way but all your softwares should be re-installed.so be caution before you do this.

N97 music player doesn't display my music

Hi all,
I have a problem since yesterday regarding the music player application on my N97. Namely, it will not display any of my music - it displays "no songs" for whatever section (Artists, Albums, etc.). Of course, I checked the file system and all music is there, safe and sound. It should be noted that the music files are in .mp3 or .m4a format, placed appropriately (mass storage, folder "Music"). And I hadn't had this sort of problem until yesterday, when I was trying to sync music with my PC using Ovi Player and Ovi Suite. They both recognize my music files and display all albums and songs accordingly.
To make it more interesting, when I choose "Music library details" option in the music library main screen, it displays the correct information (1490 songs, modified 26.11. etc.), but it simply won't list any music saying that I have none!
What I tried:
- refreshing the library a number of times - it reports "0 files added" and continues to behave in the same way;
- importing some new music (via PC) and refreshing the library - the same outcome;
- switching phone off and on (including removing the battery);
- resetting the phone to factory settings.
Nothing helped. It's running the newest firmware version (v20).
In my opinion, the problem is not caused by the music files, but the music player application itself. So I don't think that formatting the mass storage would do the trick. Someone correct me if I'm mistaking.
Also, I would very much like not having to reinstall the firmware as it was excruciating in the first place - lost connection with the device, my phone almost died, etc. But if anyone strongly thinks that it is worth trying, then I will. This is extremely annoying.

Quicktime music player doesn't display properly in google chrome only

I'm trying to add music to my website I'm creating with Dreamweaver. Everything works perfectly in every browser except Google Chrome. The music player that displays on Google Chrome is way out of place and barely functions. Is there something wrong with my code?

N85 music player doesn't accept refreshing ??????

Hi all,
I have bought Nokia N 85 from about 3 months . And I have a problem related to the music player.
After adding new sound tracks the phone reject doing refresh so I can see the sound files I put in the phone but I can't .A message appears "file is corrupt , operation cancelled " although the file is good not corrupted .

Updated to ios 7.1 now my iPhone 5c music player doesn't work properly?

I bought an iPhone 5c last night and everything worked great until I updated to ios 7.1. Now my music player only works using the earphones. It won't respond if I try controlling it on screen.

Try these steps as needed:
1. Reset the phone: Press both the home and power buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears (no data loss)
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
3. Restore the iOS using iTunes, aslo restoring a backup
4. Restore the iOS without restoring a backup
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
