Mysql just stopped working....need help

Question

I'm not sure what happened, but I stopped mysql using Webmin and it was working prior to stopping it. Now I get the following while trying to figure out what the problem is. I'm not an expert in this by any means. I'm trying to get to my phpmyadmin, but it can't connect to the mysql server.

/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' exists!

I have nothing in /usr/local and I guess I should have /usr/local/mysql/

Any thoughts? Everything was working fine until I stopped it.

No idea what happened, but rebooted and everything's fine now. Strange!
