Mysterious Voice Mail Notification Won't Go Away

i've been having a single voice mail notifcation that refuses to go away no matter what.  i have listened to all of my voice mails and it still has not gone away.  i noticed that the notice is still shown in my hub as unread but whenever i try to select it, it is unselectable which means i cannot delete it either.  what the heck is going on?  heeeeeeelp!

Ok I was just able to select the voice mail notification in the hub, but when I tried to delete it, it won't delete. Ugh.

  • Voice Mail Icon Won't Go Away!

    Hello All:
I have a Z30 and I have 10.2.1.3062.  I was left a voice mail a while ago and after listening to it the first time, I saved it and listened to it again 3 days later. After that I deleted the saved message. However, the voice mail notification continues to show on my screen/Hub. This is despite the fact that the voice mail says that I have no new or saved messages.
I have tried leaving myself a message and then deleting it, hoping that it would get rid of the icon, but no luck.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

  • Mysterious e-mail message won't go away ...

There is a e-mail message that continually pops up every time I start up mail and every time I send a message. It's a previous e-mail I sent from one of my accounts to another for backup reasons, but it won't go away. I delete it, and it reappears in my in box later whenever I try to send another message.
Can someone help me escape this loop?

I understand your frustration, but it's not always reasonable to expect Apple to fix problems beyond their control. There are lots of ways to set up mail servers and Apple has no more access to the configurations for the servers you use than you do. Mail works, in my case, with both Exchange 2007 and various iMap servers, so I'm sure your problem isn't ubiquitous.
When you have things that don't work together and they both want to point fingers at each other, the best thing to do is to gather all the information that's pertinent and supply it to both sides. Have you asked the mail system administrators about the details of their system, what software they're running, version, protocols, and ports? Apple can't possibly know those details.

  • New mail notification won't go away...

    Hi there!
    I'm using MacOS 10.7.4 and Mail 5.3 on a 13" MBP from 2012.
Lately I experience the problem, that the new mail notification (those little red numbers on the mail icon in the dock ) won't disappear after I read the mail.
When I quit mail completely and start it up again the notification is gone...
This behaviour is pretty new on my machine.
Can anybody help me with that?
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I did restart the dock and will let you wether that solved the problem!
It'll take a day or two until I'm sure the notification will be gone for sure after I read an email because the problem didn't appear on a regular basis.

  • Mail notifications won't go away

    Hello-
I have an iPhone, iPad, and Mac that all access my iCloud email account. I've encountered a problem where notifications from Mail will not dissapear from my iPhone when I read a message on my iPad or Mac. Strangley though, the mac updates. For example, if I read a message on my iPad, the notification goes away from the Mac but does not go away from the iPhone - but, if I read a message on my mac, it doesn't dissapear from my iPhone or iPad.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

I have now sorted this out - any kind of deleting didn't work, but using the "cut" command from the mail menu bar did.
Thank goodness, it's been driving me mad...

  • E-mail notification won't go away

In the past 72 hours I have noticed that the little red number to tell me how many emails I have, won't disappear. At first it was just a 1, and now it's 2. When I actually have new mail, say 4 new ones, the number will read 6, i dump those or read them and the number goes back down to 2.
I've gone on the computer, and actually cleaned out my mail box. There is literally only 7 emails in my inbox. I can see that there are no new ones, but that little red number still mocks me.
Any ideas as to what is going on?

Try deleting and recreating the account on your iPhone.

  • I Have No Voice Mail Notifications In Z10 Hub

I have seen issues with Voice Mail Notifications in various threads, but I didn't see one having No Voice Mail Notifications In the Z10 Hub at all. Sorry if I missed a thread that applies.
From what I was told by Blackberry Technical Support, at the bottom of the BB Hub next to "Calls", "Emergency Alerts" and "PIN", should be "Voice Mail" (or something similar). I have none and therefore do not get any notifications when I receive a Voice Message. I thought this was odd, and figured I had some settings incorrect, but that is not the case. It's just not there.
I am in the USA on Verizon's network with the latest updated OS 10.1.0.2039 that they offered on a STL100-4, Z10.
    Anyone else have this issue?

My wife had the same issue on her Z10.
A quick call to customer service at AT&T and they set it up.
Rebooted her phone, and all was well.
I'm sure Verizon customer service can do this for you as well.
    Hope this helps.
    Sincerely -

  • Problem with voice mail notification after 8107.79...

i have a nokie lumia 800 and there was an update of the OS to 8107.79 from une, when i updated my phone, there were problems i have encountered, first was the voice mail notification. I did not subscribe myself to my network providers voice mail service (since they dont have that service as well) but there was a notification on my phone about a voice mail to which i wonder how did i get a notification when i dont even have a voice mail account.
Second was the lights at the three buttons below the screen, it does not illuminate on most of the time.
    Has anyone encountered these problems?

Not sure about the voicemail thing but 8107 shouldn't affecting the buttons at the bottom of the phone that issue arose afte 1500 firmware update from Nokia.
If you have your display set to auto then the the buttons will light up normally.

  • SMS Notification Won't go Away

    Hi all,
I'll go ahead and post everything i did up until the point where i first encountered the problem (all of the following occurred within 3 hrs)
So i got my Sprint blackberry Tour 9630 over a month ago and had the 5.0OS. There was an upgrade to install (5.0.xx.xxx) and i went ahead and installed it.
After installing the newest OS i saw that there was a notification coming from my "Social Networking" > "Facebook"
At this point i wanted to go ahead and delete the Facebook app from my phone since checking it from the default browser is a lot better than the application. I went into the application settings and deleted facebook from my phone at which point it prompted me to restart my phone.
I restarted my phone. It made me go through the initial setup (teaches you how to use the trackball etc). I decided to skip this part.
HERE is the part i need help with....................
I had an SMS notification letting me know that i had a new text. However, when i opened SMS i could not see any unopened items. I scrolled down through all my messages and nothing! I decided to delete all my threads of text messages to see if this would fix the problem BUT it didn't! I figured that i needed to restart the phone once again in the hopes that it would recognize that there indeed was no new sms message.
    On the second restart attempt:
I skipped initial setup again and now had  an SMS Notification for 2 text messages. I opened SMS and saw 0 messages (i had already deleted them all).
I tried connecting it to my desktop manager and manually cleared all the data within SMS and MMS (in case MMS was secretly the culprit) and the notification is still there!
Is there anything i can do? I know it's not a big deal but having my phone always telling me that i have new SMS messages will be deceiving and eventually frustrating.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcme to the cmmunity supprt frums
    1. Try going to your message folder... press option or menu button.... go to view folders and delete each section. (including sent files)
    2. Check your voice mails and make sure there are not any unlistened to messages.
    3. Erase your missed calls.
    4. Try removing your battery - then replacing it - allwing your phone to reboot.
    This is just a start....

  • New mail indicator won't go away

My mail icon continuously says I have 1 new mail even though I don't -- once I access my inbox it says I have no new messages, but the icon won't go away.
Also, I have BCC turned off, but my gmail is still BCCing me all of my sent messages. How can I make it stop?

Reset your phone(hold down home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo comes up)
As for Gmail go to Settings>Mail>Select the Gmail account>Advanced> and make sure that in the Mailbox Behaviors the Sent Mailbox is set to <Sent Messages>

  • Mail Delivery System Notifications won't go away

    Hi all
Tiger 10.4.11, MacBook Pro, Apple Mail.
I have several Mail Delivery Status Failure notifications that I cannot get rid of. I delete them, they go in the trash, but I go into any other mail box and when I come back to the inbox, there they are again. Right now I have 5 separate messages, all exactly the same. The problem is that I e-mailed someone something that was too big for their server and got this as a notification. But I can't get rid!
I've junked my envelope index, and re-imported and rebuilt the mailbox. I've deleted off my server (they don't re-appear there) and can't think what else to try.
    Any help please?
    Thanks

  • Mail problems won't go away! Help!!!

At first, I tried dragging messages that were marked "not junk" from the junk folder to the inbox. It used to work. But then, they would disappear. Then I noticed that all of my sent messages were marked as junk. Now, I keep losing sent messages. I'll click on the sent messages folder and I'll see messages that I just sent dissappear. They are there for a half second and they're gone. I often don't know if the messages were sent. The drafts folder will sometimes keep messages even though they were sent. Or messages will reappear mysteriously in the drafts folder.
I tried the routine of trashing certain files/folders in the mail/library/home folder. That never worked. I tried getting rid of a lot of messages in my inbox and sent messages. I was at about 3000 in my inbox and I'm down to less than 600. Then I tried the trashing certain files/folders in the mail/library/home folder again. It didn't help. I called apple support. They could not solve the issue but recommended an archive & install. I tried that a few times. It seemed to help for a day or two then it was back to being weird. I then tried trashing all files and folders having to do with mail in the home library and system library folders and doing another archive & install. Again, it helped for a couple of days but the troubles have returned. The are still some files somewhere that keep track of my .mac info. Because even when I trashed everything I could find having to do with mail, and did an archive & install, the mac still remembers my .mac account and the email addresses that I have written to in the past. So, maybe those files, whoever they are, are causing the problems.
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Your problems are caused by data corruption within your home folder. Reinstalling Mac OS X preserving your data obviously cannot fix that. And if you have a .Mac account and have .Mac synchronization of Mail settings enabled either in Mail > Preferences > General or in System Preferences > .Mac, getting rid of the potentially corrupt files won’t work either because Mail will restore them using the (corrupt) synchronization data stored on the server.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, proceed as follows:
    0. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    1. Go to System Preferences > .Mac, disable .Mac synchronization of Mail settings, and reset the synchronization data currently on the server.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/. Move (not copy) the entire Mail folder out of there, to the Desktop.
    3. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences/. Locate com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop.
    4. Open Mail and set it up again from scratch. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and check that everything works fine.
You’ll have to re-configure all your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    5. If Mail works fine now, and you had any messages stored in local mailboxes, do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and follow the instructions to import your mail from the old Mail folder that’s now on the Desktop. Import the Mailboxes folder first, then the POP-username@mailserver account folders, if any.
As a result of doing the above, some messages may be duplicated now. Andreas Amann’s Mail Scripts has a Remove Duplicates script that may help to fix that.
Do with the imported mail whatever you wish. You may move the messages anywhere you wish and get rid of the imported mailboxes afterwards.
If all is well and you don’t miss anything, the files on the Desktop can be deleted, although you may want to keep them for a while, just in case.
Ask for any clarifications or if you need further assistance.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • Mail notification doesn't go away after opening mail

In the Mail app, after opening an email and going back to the Inbox folder, the "unread" notification is still there, I have to open the email again to make it go away.
Is anybody else experiencing this too?
    Is this a bug?
    Thanks

No not a bug, I only experience this with my Yahoo account.  Most of the time its due to my wifi or cellular data connection.
But I also believe it is due to the yahoo email account.
