Mystery Rectangle In Upper Right-Hand Corner Of Desktop

In the past week or so a small gray rectangle that resembles a Finder window frame has begun appearing... It isn't there immediately after I boot my Mac but it suddenly shows up during the day. Here is a screenshot made after I moved it to the lower right-hand corner:
I have been unable to associate it with an open app or any other process that is running. Any ideas?

Here's my suggestion:
On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Cellular (where you would turn on cellular data if you could).
You can actually scroll that menu down a bit so the "Cellular Data" button is not necessarily in the far upper right corner of the screen. Hopefully you can scroll it down far enough that you can successfully set it.

Sounds that you have security software that doesn't trust Firefox and blocks internet access by default, so you need to check that out and make sure that Firefox gets full and unrestricted access to internet.

When I open an email, my computer won't go to the link listed, or when I am doing research the same thing, then I see a ALLOW in the upper right hand corner of the screen and I have to click on that. What happened and how do I fix this?

Somehow my settings have changed. When I open an email and there is a link, my computer won't allow it, also when I am doing a search, my computer won't allow certain links to open.
What I see is "ALLOW" in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and I have to click on that in order to continue my email or do a search. How did this suddenly happen and how do I change it back to being able to roam the Internet without having to click on ALLOW all the time?
Also, I set up Google as my home page, but it won't list Email or any other options. I have to type in Google in the Google box, then Email appears. How do I get the right Google set up as my home page so I can access Email without jumping through hoops.

How do I move Start from the upper right-hand corner of the screen to bottom left of screen?

For some reason, I accidentally hit a button which moved my Microsoft Start button to the upper right hand corner of the screen. I would prefer the Start button to be in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Please advise.

Sorry, that isn't a Firefox support issue. The Start button is a part of the WinXP operating system. <br />

Window Goes Off-Screen When Mouse arrow Is Moved To Upper Right Hand Corner

It seems like this happened recently. When the mouse is moved and pointed to the upper right hand corner of the screen everything displayed goes off-screen to the right and left sides. The edge of the window is shown on the right side and a shadow on the left side- when I click on those everything pops back on-screen. I have a bad habit of moving my mouse quickly and this has become annoying.
I thought it may have been a "Hot Corner" but I checked and this feature is not enabled(in Expose/Dashboard)
How do I disable this feature?

It definitely sounds like the hot corner "all windows" is enabled. There is a preference file that needs to be trashed, but I cannot figure out which one (no help to you).
Be sure that none of the hot corners are enabled and then restart.
You might also try resetting PRAM (although I do not think that will do anything).

Just switched from CS6 to PS CC. I am very comfortable using ACR in previous versions. I liked to use the preview checkbox located in the upper right-hand corner to see before and afters. That checkbox is no longer in my version of PS CC. I see that they have side-by-side, top and bottom and right and left before and after options in the lower right-hand corner in this version. Is there anyway to get that legacy preview checkbox back so that I can use it?

Weird photo showing up in upper right hand corner of test messages I sent

I've looked through preferences and can't figure it out; there's a smallish icon-like photo of me that I took long ago that shows up in the upper right hand corner of my mail messages. It only shows up with messages to myself (tests, sent from yahoo and hotmail). Where in the world is this coming from and how do I turn it off? It didn't show up on my old Powerbook, but this is a new machine (iMac 20"), and an updated Mail program, so I'm not sure what's going on. I can't find anything about photos or pics in preferences. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this or turn it off? Thanks.

Stedman. Thanks. That wasn't actually what it was, but it got me poking around, so you solved it indirectly.
What it was was the photo on my Address book. That was selected to show up. So, I just turned that off.

HELP: Strange icon appearing in upper right=hand corner of screen

Hi,
For the last few days I noticed that the last few times I shut my MacPro 2.66 (OSX 10.4.10) down a small icon appears were the in the task bar would be on the far upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Just before the screen shuts off a small white square with a yellow triangle inside... in the middle of which resides a red !
It is only there for 15 seconds or so and then the machine shuts down. There is no other verbose display... just that symbol.
What is it? Anyone seen this before?

Any ideas at all?

It's been almost three years since I bought and set up my most recent Mac but if I recall correctly .....
When you initially set up your Mac, you were offered the opportunity to snap a photo of yourself in order to associate your photo with your user account on the computer. If you declined the photo I think the Mac will pick or suggest a picture from the preinstalled selections in the accounts pane of the system preferences. You can change the picture but you cannot delete it totally. That picture is part of your ID for that user account on the Mac.
If you want to change it, Open System Preferences and click on accounts. Click on your account to change the picture. You will have to unlock the preference in the bottom left corner - and to do that - you need to enter your password. Click on the picture of the Eagle and then all of the preinstalled photo choices pop up in another window. Select another photo and then clcik the lock icon again when you are done.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
I didn't have the exact same problem as you, but my dilemma was close enough. Good luck!

I'm sorry, there is no way to change that. It is a change with the newer iOS 7. You can provide feedback to Apple, like a large group of others have that are disappointed in this at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.
