N or G wifi mode?

Is there any way to tell if you are connected
with N or G mode on the iphone/itouch 4?

Not from the iPhone itself. There may be a third party application available though.
Ideally you would need to know what setting the modem/router is broadcasting.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

My iphone 5 uses cellular data even when in WIFI mode. I have an iPhone 3 and 4s and both of those appear to be OK. How do I stop this?

My iPhone 5 on iOS 6 uses 4x to 5x the data that was being used on my iPhone 4s. The old 4s and 3g (differnt numbers) seem to be OK. AT&T is getting rich off of the cellular data when in WIFI mode. How do I stop this?

I was researching what might be causing the excessive data usage on the iPhone 5 and found some info that should help reign in the data. It is from our iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_1
Here is section 1 to get you started. I recommend sections 1, 3, and 5 if needed.
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next

I am trying to connect a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet to the Internet via Internet Sharing. The N810 only supports B and G mode WIFI. I can't get a connection. Does Airport Internet Sharing Support WIFI Mode G? Do I have to configure for this?

Yes.
I've used my 802.11b/g/n capable MacBook to share an ethernet connection with my 802.11g ONLY iPod Touch.
Does the N810 see the network?
Does any other WiFi capable device in your home see the Internet Sharing SSID?
Did you give your Internet Sharing a password? Internet Sharing uses WEP for encryption, and the rules for creating the WEP Hex key from a text string password are different for Macs vs everyother WiFi device in the world. 1st try no password. If that works, then move on to using a simple 5 character password for 40/64 bit WEP, or a 13 simple password for 104/128 bit WEP.

I explain : i just bought time capsule, everything works while in wifi. but if i want to make my 1st time machine backup (1T, to heavy for wifi...) and I want to use an ethernet cable, I have to disconnect the wifi mode in the airport utility, to allow the ethernet connection tu function.
That works fine, BUT, once the backup is completed and i want to switch back to normal wifi mode, NO WAY, the time capsule led turns orange and airport doesn't locate the TC anymore.
any ideas?

ps : my TC is connected wifi to the ADSL router, it has no separate network.
....I'm kinda desperate...! :-(
Here is the trouble..
You have used the TC the wrong way.. this is "Join a wireless network"
When you use the TC in this mode.. the ethernet ports are shut off.. actually even the wireless becomes a dumb client of the main router.. this is the poorest method to setup the TC.. don't do it.. ever. You will decrease wireless speed by at least 50% if not more.. and it will be flakey and terrible.
As I said, reset the TC.. the TC must be in router mode or bridge mode.. but the backup can be done in isolation from the network. If the TC is in router mode it will just work as network disk when you have it plugged in.. do not worry about errors.. when you are finished the backup and want to use wireless.. change the TC to bridge mode and plug it into the main router.. never use wireless links to non-apple routers.

Solution that i found about HP AC200W Stuck in wifi mode

I found a solution to the problem when the camera is blocked, when changing modes having this. I had this problem, and what I did was "off" or "forget network" for the option that gives us the HP Xcam app! to see what the camera is seeing with WIFI coneccion. It was this simple solution to the problem under lock me.
I guess it lacks any supplement or pluggin for this function to see what will record work perfectly.
I hope this information will help many people

Any cable should have been fine. Only other thought I have is you might want to try an update if you have not already. While updating firmware won't get it out of exam mode, maybe an older verison had an issue preventing it from coming out for some reason. What is the version of the software installed? You can find it by pressing the HELP button, then the TREE menu key, and select the top "About HP Prime" entry and pressing OK. That should have the version information there. The "basic" exam mode won't/can't timeout though. I've never been able to see one that hasn't been able to come out by plugging it in though, so this is a new thing for me too.

IPhone doesn't ring in wifi mode

Both my wife and I have iPhone 5 phones. We noticed a problem when I first got mine that the phone didn't always let calls go through when it was on the wifi network in the house. Some calls did, some calls did not. We then found that if you turned off the wifi, the calls went through. Same problem with my wife's phone and she got her's a month after mine. Calling the phones, it sounds like they are ringing, but it goes to voice mail, but then the phone doesn't indicate it has a voice mail. We tried turning data off and then back on, and that didn't fix it. We have powered down and restarted, and that doesn't work either. Any help would be appreciated.

Who is your cellular service provider? Have you contacted them to verify the account and SIM are setup correctly?
Try resetting the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743
If the issue persists after resetting, try restoring the iPhone. This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414 will walk you through restoring the iPhone.

I just got my new iPhone 5 yesterday. I'm having difficulty maintaining a wifi connection. I can get reception when I'm sitting next to router but I get a short distance away and I get the message 'unable to connect to network'. My old iPhone 3GS works fine at same places where new iPhone 5 won't connect. I still am using ios 5.1 on 3GS. I've turned off my old phone to make sure it isn't causing some type of interference and also switched off the cellular network to try to force it into wifi mode but without any success. I don't think it's my router since my old 3GS is working fine. Anybody have any further thoughts? Thanks

There are some low-profile slots though 1 of them are occupied by the firewire card: 1 low-profile PCI, 2 low-profile PCI Express x16, 1 low-profile PCI Express x1
We actually purchased 13 of these computers for video editing, so I really hope it is possible to fix this without buying 13 low-profile graphics adapters. What gets to me is the fact that it does work when I disable the driver. (!) Shold therefore be doable to make a driver/update that works :-(
Any ideas? Or, in worst case, anyone know about a low-profile graphics card that works?
