N series phones that support FOTA

Please someone should please list n series phones only that have NSU to updates its software.Thank you and have a nice day.

Out of curiosity, what are you using this information for? There's no suitable search parameter for NSU in the device specs page (well, there is FOTI and Software Updates, but those values were very rarely marked to the specs data).
To find devices that don't support FOTA, you could do a reverse search and look for devices that don't contain the FOTA value. See (there's a few other parameters selected as well, like "must have USB"). But of course that list is not equal to devices supporting NSU. You'd have to manually clean up the result list a bit and at least remove any device older than 2005/2006.

  • Phones that supports javafx

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me some phones that supports javafx. I want to test my application on a real device. I read about HTC Touch Diamont, but I am interesed if there are any other devices that supports javafx.
    Thanks.

Currently the javafx is not so much stable so that mobile companies would keep it. I think the javafx 2.0 may be sign of good stability of javafx.
    Thanks.

  • Phones that support video with MMAPI (and ideally: UMTS)?

    Hi there,
does anybody know which phones do currently support playing back video (and ideally: streaming video) with the MMAPI? At the moment, I know the Nokia 3650 supports it...
More interesting: are there any phones that do support UMTS and playing back video with the MMAPI? At the moment, I have a Nokia 7600 sitting in front of me and I'm still kind of shocked since it tells me it won't play videos and not even AMR soundfiles (only supported content types on this phone: audio/x-tone-seq, audio/midi, audio/sp-midi).
The tragic thing about this is that the phone does have a media player - I just can't access it via the MMAPI and therefore, I can't access it via Java at all... :-(
    kind regards,
    david

  • Phone that supports location JSR, JSR179, and touch screen

    Hi All
Does anyone know which phones that have touch screens support the location jsr (JSR179) ?

If this case is blocking or partially blocking the iPhone's proximity sensor, sure you can use it but this problem will remain.
If so, you can try increasing the size of the case opening around the earpiece - the sensor is located above and there is also a light sensor beside it which combined are wider than the earpiece opening or purchase another case that is better designed for the iPhone in this regard.

  • Phones that support multi keypress

In my several tests i came across one phone that i suspect that really doesn't support multi keypress in java, that phone is Samsung J200. Can anyone confirm?
How do i know if a phone supports multi keypress in java without having to test it (like is specs)?
    Thanks

  • Cannot find phones that support sample app

I downloaded the "duece_interface" fla. sample files from
this site, opened it up, tried to test it in the flash lite
emulator, downloaded the latest device updates extension, and still
cannot find any models that support this app. Any clues? thanks.
    Sorta new to flash lite.

You may be receiving the problem loading content error
because the SWF you are trying to load is not published as a Flash
Lite file. Also the JPEG may be too large in file size (not the
actual kB of the file) but the actual file size needed to decode
the image and render it in the Flash Lite application.
    Hope that helps,

  • Why do these N series phone NOT support flash wall...

Hello- I am curious as to why these apparently "high end" handsets do not support something as simple as flash (.swf) wallpaper ??
I love the N85 and was hoping to buy one but I then found out that it (among others) does not support flash wallpapers.
I am wondering if this is a compatibility issue with Symbian ??
Does anyone know why this is ??
Now before anyone says anything I am referring to flash wallpapers, NOT screensavers, these handsets do support flash screensavers but NOT wallpapers !!
    Thank You, LL-

If they do it for the S40's then why not the S60's ??
The S40 software and S40 devices are done by a different organization/team in Nokia than the S60 software and S60 devices.
Different organizations have different priorities, different resources, different goals.
There's nothing technically that prevents it from being done. And it is possible that some day it will also be supported in S60 based devices.
However, as things are now, S60 based devices do not support Flash [Lite] wallpapers.
I haven't seen any user-installable applications that'd enable such a function, either. I suspect it is next to impossible to write such an application anyway, without the support being part of the S60/Symbian operating system.

  • Does N95 support FOTA??

well am a poor sweet 16 teen in africa who likes doing internet window shopping but actually doesnt have any penny to buy my self a new smartphone...so i recently bought my self a used N95-1i hate android coz it lags alot/htc wildfire,ideos/recently i got to know that with my phone's device manager i can do a fota update coz i have v21 and v35 is already out i have configured every thing and no results! it alerts me that its receiving data from nokia and then automatically disconects!!! so i was wondering if the phone even supports fota if not whats the use of the device manager any way?!

    @woody87
AFAIK N95 never received any updates via FOTA, at least in UK it never did!
Enjoy your N95, the only weak point is the flexible cable/connector(s) by constantly opening and closing the slider.

  • What USA Cell Phone Carrier has the N-Series Phone...

Please, I need the help of those who know MUCH more about Carrier availability than either myself, Google or even Bing has been able to come up with.
I have been doing some heavy research into phones and I quite like what I have read and seen of the Nokia phones, most especially the N and E series phones.  They are quite impressive.
I know the E71 is available on AT&T and there are a variety of Nokia bar and flip phones available on a variety of American Cell Phone Carriers BUT... what what I am really interested in is what carrier could I use a good N Series smartphone on?  I have been looking at the E71 on AT&T (which is my current network) and if nothing else, I could be easily persuaded to purchase that phone.  However, it is the N-Series phones that really caught my attention as they have the solid build, camera / video options, web-browsing features and functionality that really speak to me.
I am most interested in what carrier's in the USA would be or are carrying the N97, the N86 & N85 and possibly the N96 phones?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
You can use any phone from Nokia with ATT and other carrier that use the GSM network, but you have to look for the phones that made for  the USA networks Nokia have a different version of their phones for USA and global use but you still can use the global one here in USA but with some limited function like the 3G services that different from USA. And if your looking for carrier that provide N or E series here in USA I don’t think there is any other than ATT and it only carry some of them not all, the N96 and N97 I don’t think you can find any of them here with plan price you have to by them from amazon they have cheaper than NokiaUSA.
i hope that will help you...
    thanks

  • Remote config 7900 series Phone?

    Hello everyone,
    Happy China National Day !
How do I TELNET / SSH configuration 7900 series Phones ?
Some  Phones in reach far away places, I want to remotely turn [alternative TFTP] option.
    Thx~
    Online waiting...

That'll depend entirely on the model of your phone & the firmware running.
79X0 will support SSH, for example, when I load SIP firmware. I don't know if SCCP is allowed.
When you are able to SSH (only), you can do some show, debug, etc. mYou can also do some limited configurations but you CAN'T set the directory of the call buttons.

  • 500 series phones wont register after recovering password

I had to recover the password for a UC540W and followed the standard procedures that I am aware of. I went to rommon, , copy start to run, change the password, no shut on the interfaces, saved and rebooted.
The 7900 series phones work with no problem but the 525 and 504 are stuck downloading the xmldefault.cnf.xml file. It would seem that there is some other item I need to adjust during the password recovery.
What else would possibly be affected by a password reset that would selectively knockout the 500 series phones?
I did a factory reset on the 504g phone and it loaded a default screen but didnt register with the UC540.
The statements for the phones loads are listed:
    tftp-server flash:/phones/525/spa525g-7-4-4.bin alias spa525g-7-4-4.bin
    tftp-server flash:/phones/5x5/spa5x5-7-4-4.bin alias spa5x5-7-4-4.bin
and the files are in the directory:

What else would possibly affect this that I could check.
I have a demo in the morning and am waiting on SCC support to fix my serial number so I can order support. So in the meantime I am stuck.
I could upload my config but I dont have time to clean it. I know this is a simple one line statement issue so if you have any ideas please let me know.
Also no changes were made to the configuration before or after this problem other than to reset the password.
    Thanks

I thought about that but it was isolated to one series of phones.
I was working on the unit and had to do work on the wireless to get the 7925 working. I edited the voice wlan and changed from wep to open. After it uploaded the changes.... both phones started working.
It must have been security related as whatever statements were changed related to the wlan config.. it allowed the phones to complete registration.
I wish I could find out what caused it.. but I do have the cca logs. I will bring it up with cca feedback.
    Thanks for your help.

The latter, either Nokia Suite or standalone NSU.
You cannot update the device firmware using FOTA and no update for N73 was released for that method.

  • DX Series phone and Android AV and MDM

Hey guys.. our Telephony group is looking at deploying DX series phones through out but as a security person am concerned about Android in the environment though it's an SE version.  Has anybody ran av/am on these phones?
What about managing with an MDM, such as MobileIron?  I tried the MobileIron client awhile back and it wouldn't even start on these phones

    Hi Raun,
I have administered MobileIron for a couple years now and I can tell you that not all Android devices will work on MDM. If the app won't launch, it's likely not supported. MobileIron tends to make sure the "bread and butter" androids such as Galaxy, Nexus, and Note series are running smoothly, but some of the others are not so lucky.
I can see that the Cisco DX Series Security Overview notes that MDM is supported, but that's a pretty aggressive statement to make considering the broadness of MDM providers and the different types of android devices saturating the market.
I have no experience with AV/AM on these phones. Are there concerns other than Google Play, USB port, and unkown sources that would require the AV/AM? The reason I state this is that the Google Play, USB port, and unkown sources can be disabled by the admin. Keep me honest, but those features disabled coupled with Android SE (which is very good) would make it quite difficult to install virus and malware on the DX series.

    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/desktop-collaboration-experience-dx600-series/white-paper-c11-731685.html
I hope this helps in some way.
