N4S Test Drive New License not Allowing Logon (error in license check)

I reinstalled my N4S testdrive after a NIC failure caused all sorts of problems - the demo license had expired, so I requested and received a new demo license from SAP.
I've installed the license via SLICENSE, and the license is showing as successfully installed, and has the green light next to it. However, I can only logon as SAP* - none of the other created users can logon - the error message on client 001 is:
Logon not possible (error in license check).
I've reinstalled the license, but this hasn't helped. I'm wondering if there is something still on my system pointing to the old expired license. Has anyone come across this before or have any ideas?

i had same problem and on tr "\nslicense", on tab "Digitally-Signed licenses", on the left of message "A valid license key is required to operate this system" , there's the name of product (of course).
If you request your license key on http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm there are various system Ids with  the same name.
In my product "NetWeaver_ADA" the correct license is the second of three products with name "NPL - SAP NetWeaver 7.02" . When you receive your license via mail you have to find "SWPRODUCTNAME=" , in my case i found "SWPRODUCTNAME=NetWeaver_ADA" because that's my product.

    I didn't notice in the License agreement any reference to the maximum permitted number of users on the N4S Test Drive - to save me having to trawl through looking for the license agreement again, does anyone know what this is?

    save and activate profile.
    restart sap server.
    now login with SAP* and password

I have identified that if I am removing a primary key constraint and an index on top of month table which is used in the SQL solving this issue. But want to know the exact reason of this error. FYI I am having two indexes on Month_end_date_key (which is also a primary key) and Month_end_date. Could you please let me know the reason for this.
    FYI I am not doing any insert,update deletion operations. I am using only the tables in the SQL not using any views.

    Action:     INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE data in the base tables, instead of the view.

    We have different plants exsting in US, CN, TW, PH and other countries.
    and we want to use this export license to control:
    Only US can ship these products to CN, and CN can not ship back these products back to US or other plants in other countries.
    License details:
        - Legal Regulation is "EAR";
        - license type : "IVLP" - Individual Validated License - Partner Function Specific;
        - Destination country is China (CN);
    If GTS can meet this requirement, I did some test with current setting, can not stop CN ship to US or other plants in other countries.

    I tried 64 bit version 1.6- no success,,,, with 32-bit versin 1.6 no success ether. then I downloaded 32 bit version 1.4.2, but still not working.
    Error message is something like:
    DlLoadLib: dlopen()= libjvm.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 -> DLENOACCESS (0,...
    So which version of Sun Java is needed for WAS 7.1 on Linux/OpenSuSE 64 Bit?

    when we are running the RMAN backup. DB is not allowing new connections.
    we are getting the err ORA-12500 TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process. Existing connections are working fine.

    Is your DB running with Shared Server option? If so, then you will need to create another tnsnames to accept dedicated connections and connect using that name.
    RMAN needs to be connected using a dedicated connection.

  • Can't load ASIO driver / device could not be opened error in Audition CC but not Audition CS6

    I have a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB 2.0 that I use for audio.  I installed Audition CC and it wont let me use the ASIO driver for it.  I get the device could not be opened error.  On the same system I have Audition CS6 which works with the ASIO driver fine.  Also have Vegas, Premiere, etc - all on the same machine and no problems with the M-Audio driver.  I can load the Blackmagic ASIO driver but don't use that for audio mixing.  Changing Use Machine Specific Device Defaults and Force Hardware to Sample Rate does nothing.   Running Windows 7 64 bit.

    M-Audio 64-bit driver is apparently troublesome, but the 32-bit one works fine - which explains why CS6 works and CC doesn't. As far as I can find out, you aren't the only person with this problem - have a look at this Reaper forum thread - you may get some useful information from it (no promises!)

    I've installed n4S for a number of years now, and have struck a problem with renewing the 90 day license.
    I go and register again at http://www.sap.com/minisap, give my HWID and specify the MaxDB flavour.  I receive my license key file, and upload it via SLICENSE, and get this:
    This system's system number is "000000000311069702", but there is a license key for system number "000000000311123778" in the license key file.
    Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Kudos to Thomas Jung - he suggested that the installation number could be manually changed in the license key file, which worked a treat.

  • HT1338 I downloaded the latest Mountain Lion to my macbook 2.4 and lost my acrobat 5.0. Also, it will not reinstall. Does the new upgrade not allow Adobe Acrobat 5.0.

    I downloaded the new operating OSX Mountain Lion and now my mackbook 2.4 will no longer read or open Adobe Acrobat 5.0. I tried to re-install and it wouldn't allow it. Does the new operating system totally kill Adobe Acrobat 5.0? Is it possible to make it work and if so, how?

    You will need to wipe your drive because you cannot downgrade over a newer system. So, you'd need to have a complete backup and either your Snow Leopard install disk or a bootable clone made before upgrading to Lion. If you have the disk, insert it while holding down C key to boot off it, choose Utilities (after language selection), choose Disk Utility and choose erase. After that, the installer will automatically reinstall SL and you can use Setup Assistant to move over your files from your backup. (Note: Mail changed in Lion, so you won't be able to import it - you'd have to do it manually).
    If you have a bootable clone, it's even easier: boot with the clone, use Disk Utility to erase the drive and clone your SL system back to your internal drive.
    Depending on which route you'll decide on, we can give more detailed instructions.

  • Driver wizard does not allow USB to be selected

    I am trying to control a Keithley 2230-30-1 Tripple Channel DC Power supply with NI-VISA through USB.
    When I connect the power supply and go to VISA interactive control, there are no options for a usb device.  I know that the USB port I am using works, and that the PC recognizes that the device is manufactured by Keithley (using the lsusb command).
    In addition, when I attempt to use the NI-VISA Driver wizard, the option to set up a USB device is grayed out.
    So far I have had no success with this device.  However, this PC and this version of NI-VISA has been able to sucessfully connect to and control a GPIB device using both LabVIEW and PyVISA.
    I would appreciate any help I can get on this matter.  Thank you.

    OS: Cern Scientific Linux 6 (SLC6) x86-64  (a distribution based on and
    VISA version: Version 5.4 (32-bit version as there is no 64 bit Linux VISA yet)
    I can post additional information if required.

    There is no need to run the wizard to use a USBTMC instrument with NI-VISA on any OS. Specifically on Linux, there is no need to run the wizard for any USB device. The reason is that NI-VISA will be able to find and use any USB device that is not claimed by another driver. I believe this is the root of the issue you are seeing. On some distributions, there is a default usbtmc driver that claims all USBTMC instruments and hence NI-VISA can't see them. To test this, just run 'rmmod usbtmc' as root and then launch NI-VISA interactive control to see if it shows up now. This will confirm if that is the issue. As long as the driver is present, it will claim the device any time it is unplugged and replugged the instrument (or you restart the machine). One way to prevent it is to black-list the usbtmc driver (echo blacklist usbtmc >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf) and this may be an acceptable solution if you want to always use NI-VISA for your USBTMC instruments.
    There could also be the problem related to permission in addition to the above problem, and the document linked in the above post has information on how to add permissions so that a non-root user can access the USB instrument.

    Your USB drive is formatted in NTFS, and OS X can't write on disks with NTFS. To fix this:
    1. Use an app like Paragon NTFS.
    2. Format the USB drive in another filesystem like "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)", "MS-DOS (FAT)" or "exFAT" > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html Make a backup of your files on the external disk.
    After doing that, you will be able to copy your photos to the external disk. Note that you can also use the Export feature in iPhoto to get more export options
