N560GTX-TI Twin Frozen II OC Edition FAN SPEED

Can anyone help with the 40% fan speed. I see alot of users have this same issue and it was resolved with a bios update. I'd like to see a minimum of 25%. No other changes. Plus I have 2 of these in SLI so instructions on how to flash them would be greatly appreciated.  Here is a link to my bios from GPU-Z http://www.mediafire.com/?azhvndgnafay1uz

Yes you can.

  • Driver for N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC -l- split

I bought the card about four weeks ago and just now I had the opportunity to test it.
When I installed the video card in my PC, the device manager appears only a standard VGA video card. When I installed the driver, Device Manager showed a yellow exclamation on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 Ti saying "Windows has stopped this device becouse encounter some problems (error 43). I tried running some games but I could not open them, and with some drivers the screen was filled with artifacts
I tried various drivers on my two PCs, from one that comes with the video card to the 295.73 driver, and each time the same warning on device manager. Can anyone help solve this or may I do a RMA to MSI?
    My systems:
    AMD A3500
    Gigabyte A75M-D2H
    4Gb RAM Kingston DDR3
    SevenTeam 550W.

    Thank you.

You sure your PSU has enough amps on the 12V rail and you connected the PCIE power connectors properly ?
Have you checked your Motherboard's BIOS revisions for updates regarding the later video cards ?
Your PCIE Bus interface should be 2.0 X 16. Have you reseated the card properly and disabled the on board graphics in your BIOS ?
My PSU is a SevenTeam 750ZAF with 750W. I used it to do SLI of my 9800GTX+ in the other computer and never had problems with it. I doubt that this could be my problem.
The GA-EP43-DS3L already has the ultimate BIOS and I did the update on the GA-A75M-D2H BIOS. Nothing new, the problem persist.
Anyone of my boards does not support PCI-Express 2.0 but this is not a requisites for  work of the video board like said the MSI page:
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560GTX-448-Twin-Frozr-III-Power-Edition-OC.html#?div=Feature
"PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth of previous generations of PCI express up to an astonishing 16Gb/s. This maximizes the performance of current graphics cards in today's most demanding games and applications. PCI Express 2.0 products are fully compatible with mainboards with other versions of PCI Express."

  • Editting fan speed in bios (unique S/N important?)

    Hello,
I was looking at the closed thread concerning requests to modify their twin frozr gtx 560 bios to the requested fan speed. I saw that Svet might release a program so that we can edit the bios ourselves.  I am wondering why the serial number of the card is requested? Is there a unique serial number check? If not, couldn't someone with the bios modded to 30% fan speed just share his bios rom?
    Thank you.

Different cards have different firmware, that is why he needs the serial.
To name something, it matters what memory-chips are on the card, as such it will have a different firmware, where the model-number is the same.

  • MSI HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 OC edition Fan speed problem

    Hello all.
I have some strange issue with my graphic card and fan i think. I have noticed that, when my monitor goes to sleep (or when I manually turn off), after few minutes (7-8-9-10) I can loudly hear GPU fan acceleration. And it happens every few minutes. So, everything is ok few minutes, and after that, again I can hear that annoying sound, the sound of accelerated fan. That happens only, but only when the monitor is switched off (whether it manually or automatically switched off).
I bought this video just 2 months ago, as well as other components of the computer. So, everything is practically new.
I have tested my graphic card with MSI Kombustor v. 2.4, and everything was fine. Temperatures, FPS, and all that stuf was fine.
I've never had a problem in any game so far. Everything working fine on high details all kind of games. Temperatures are pretty
normal. In a fact, I think that is temperature is lower than some average. I have a problem only with horizontal lines, but that is because i have monitor with VGA output. As a mather of fact, barely notice them. And, I have instaled latest 13.4 drivers. I deleted the old version with driver sweeper. And in an earlier version of driver was the same problem...
Again, the problem arises when my monitor is off. I have tested with MSI Afterburner 2.2.5 beta and GPU-Z 0.7.0.
All settings in both of programs are on default. So, that numbers at paragraph RMP, when monitor is off, max is 1563. That is 400 more than when monitor is on.
I have tried to test when is minimum usage of GPU fan is 40% (i just clicked on "user define" button on the right side of "fan speed"), and then, RMP number would be 1700 or even more.
    When monitor is off:
    When monitor is on:
So, everything is perfect when monitor is on, again. I don't think that is normal, and I beg for help. Is there any kind of solution to fix this problem? Please. I am thankful in advance. Sorry for my bad English.
    P.S.
I wanted to upload pictures, but forum does not allow me. Or, I don't know how to do that. I only want to show values...

Usualy, i left Opera, uTorrent, Skype in backround. Then, I shut down the programs, and only programs in background are Avast 8 and Realtek Audio Manager (both are in system tray). No matter if you leave a program in the background or not, it's the same.
I really have never met with this type of problem and I have no idea how to fix that. If I complain to the seller, he would run tests like I did, and everything would be ok. And when  I would told him about the fan problem, probably would have told me that everything is okay...
I don't know what to try, really...

  • Twin Frozr II GTX 580 Fan speed unlock

    Hi all,
My GTX 580 appears to be over heating so i'd like to be able to flash the bios if possible, (any tips appreciated) with a modified file to unlock the 30-100% speed fan profile.
    Any help appreciated.
    Kind regards!

Thanks, already know my way around Afterburner though . Its limited to 80% max fan speed... thats the issue! I want to unlock the 100% fan speed.
I downloaded the newest GTX 580 BIOS from the MSI website, and modified it with NiBiTor. There are numerous articles on how to do, and flash the BIOS properly, with a google search.

  • Driver for N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC

    So... where is it?
I've just bought one for a new build (my Chrsitmas present to myself) and I'm trying to check for the latest drivers.
There's nothing available to download on MSI's site for the card, and nVidia says that the hardware is not supported! I've tried their 'detect my hardware' and downloaded the latest GeForce driver. My card is detected as a 560 Ti but both complain that it is not supported.
    Please help...

I've updated my system specs - the old ones made me realise how long it is since I first joined here.
The BSOD happened during me not even being there... I had installed the driver (seemed OK),  done some windows updates that needed a restart, then left the PC while I went for a brew. When I came back the BSOD was waiting for me. I didn't read past the 'If this is the first time..' and just hit the reset button in disgust.
If it does it again I'll try to analyse the dump and see what went belly-up.
Seems OK so far though, it's been on all evening since then, including playing unreal tournament 3 for a while and running a few VM's in VMware.
So far the only thing to cause my CPU fans to speed up noticably was doing the windows updates!
I have to say I'm impressed with the graphics cards capabilities so far. But then I've upgraded from an MSI NX8600 (and a 7900 running my second monitor) so there should be a slight improvement...

  • N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC in SLi

    Hi guys,
I've just bought 2 560GTX-448s to run in SLi, but I'm not seeing any benefit from the 2nd card when i run them in SLi...
I installed one, and when it was up and running ok, I installed the 2nd card.  The nvidia panel shows the cards in SLi, but I don't see any difference in 3D mark 2006, or in COD Black Ops.  (EDIT) I have the driver set to 'single display performance mode'
I'm running them in an ASUS X58 Sabretooth, with an i7 970 which is currently running at 3.3Ghz and 12Gb of C9 memory thats currently running at 1Ghz
    Please help

    Quote
So how come there's no difference in 3Dmark06 or Black Ops? seems a bit wierd to me. Made me think something was bottlenecking the cards...
nope, most probably don't have good SLI support, or wrong SLI mode is used in those applications,
you can try force Alternate Frame Rendering 2 for SLI mode within Nvidia CP then to retest.

Hi, I purchased a  MSI|N560GTX-TI TWIN FROZR II 2G from newegg.ca on November 21 2011.  In the last month I have started getting a grinding noise on the rear fan upon start up of my computer, after a minute or two then grinding noise stops.  Is there a way to fix this issue or can I get it warrantied?
    Thanks, Brandon

You need to RMA for warranty.

  • VGA FAN CONTROL MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC

The first fan of my vga (from back panel to front panel of my desktop)runs at ~4440 rpm (40%) on idle state. It’s pretty noisy, in any review that I read before I buy this vga they mention how quite this card is, how powerful and cool. I would like to know if there is a way to slowdown the fan speed on idle state maybe to 30%.I tried to do that with msi afterburner but don’t let me drop it under 40%(the one it has from the geggining). Is there a bios update or tool or something else to allow me to do this? I would like to mention that my case is CoolerMaster CM 690 II Basic  with good airflow and my psu is CoolerMaster Silent Pro M850 RS-850-AMBA-J3 850W Modular PSU.please can anyone help me?? sorry wrong topic i'm new to this...

  • MSI N560Ti Twin Frozr II OC Edition Temp to high

Hello svet, im from argentina too
    Ive a problem with a MSI N560 GTX - TI Twin Frozr II / OC edition (1024 M )
    Serial N:  602-v238-220b110905319
Like 4 months ago, one of the original fans from the cooler just broke up (stop working) so  i got a Deepcool 4600 in replace
    (this monster)
After installing in that moment the new cooler, temps went down like a champ (60ª full load temp)
A few days ago, i decided to recheck my temp again  only to see how are the things going, and i found something weird
The GPU Temp was rising till 100º c in full load.
That was something imposible becouse in that case , the  gpu will just stop working and the system will shutdown. So i decided to check the things , open up my V9 Black edition case, and check the thermal paste (artic silver 5) in the GPU. Nothing strange, i just reapply the tim and installed the vga again in place
Well , things went the same deal like before. Gpu hitting 100ª in like 8  - 9 seconds after opened a game, every time i just hit ALT TAB and drop to ws, the temp goes down to 35ª in like , i dunno, 3 seconds or less. Tab back in game, and after 5 - 6 seconds went up again
Just formated, installed clean drivers, same deal, but i managed to hit 80ª this time in cs:go (just to test) with vsync on tripple buffer , max settings and MAX_FPS 45
After a while (maybe less than a minute) temp hit again the 90º wall, and it was to late to keep testing.
Is it posible that a sensor is damaged? couse i didnt notice the heat that excesive inside the case, i mean i put my hand over the VGA (not touching, only hovering over) and the vga was hot but not at 100º def.
Is it posible for a card to cold that quickly? (from 100 to 30 in  5 seconds).
    Can my bios be faulty?

    btw this is the attachment

  • Do I need another RMA? N560GTX Ti Twin Frozr II/OC

    Hey folks. Hi Svet.
Question: So, uh, is there something wrong with 560 GTX Ti based cards?!
I bought the card in February. It went flaky and was RMA'd in June.
    Thread here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=149374.msg1109239#msg1109239
They sent me someone elses' repaired card, or a new card, but it hasn't lasted even 5 months of near zero use! I put in the replacement, and it seemed to work fine; ran all benchmarks and tests when I first installed it. And never gave it another thought.
I haven't had much need for 3D or gaming, I certainly haven't had time to game all summer. I mostly web browse and photo edit, and for that it's working fine. I'm mostly in linux and the only OpenGL work I do is rendering/modelling in Blender. In case you don't know, consumer 3D like 3D Vision doesn't work under linux.
Fast forward to today. Some family were over, the kids wanted to play with the cool 3D glasses, so I fire up Win7x64 and an OLD game (TOB: HL2 & Portal) and it looks horrible!
The white "fire flies" are everywhere, it looks kind of like a sports stadium filled with camera flashes going off. The textures are not only tearing, but the colors are freaky (mostly primary colors - white, magenta, blue) and tons of flickering. The textures are flickering individually. 3D or non-3D it's the same. You can still play, but of course you can't see. And eventually, it locks, and you have to reboot.
Trying to run Kombustor at just 1280x720 results in garbled video and finally the app crashes or hangs. The "furry" text is all interconnected, like there's extra faces or something.
The card has never been overclocked (beyond factory OC)... 880/1760/2100 MHz. Re: temps, in 2D it's always around 34C (and it never gets over 54C before crashing.)
The system is stable and runs just fine, until you throw something graphically-intensive at it, like gaming. Then the card goes boom.
This is with the 285.62 driver, I've also tried the 280.26 from the MSI site with the same results.
I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue, the reason I'm posting before RMAing is, what should I do here? I do NOT want to RMA this thing just to have it die again. I want a stable system, period. The card should last indefinitely, at least until it's so old no one would bother using it! And with solid caps replacing that first-to-fail point of electrolytics, this should be easily attainable! I know MSI won't ever say if there's a design flaw with the chip nor the card, but you guys are another story. Could I, for example, get an RMA unit and then flash it so it will be a slower, ordinary 560GTX? Obviously I could, what I mean is, would this make the card survive longer? I'll take stable over speed any day of the week.
As you can imagine, I'm frustrated. And POOR, which makes matters worse - I can't swap it out even if I wanted to.
Well, thanks for reading. Any help appreciated.

    Thanks, I've fixed it up.
I've tried to update the bios cux since a few days, the vga doesn't keep 60 fps in game when recording with fraps. Sometimes it goes to 55 and then it is hard to play. The game is NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 and up to now I could play it while recording at 60fps fix.
I use AB profile overclocked to 938 (core) and 2205 (memory) with voltage at 1.012

  • MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC and TRUST PSU 570W

I want to buy the MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC and I have the TRUST PSU 570W. It has two rails having +12V with 16A and 192W each. Also I have two SATA2 HDD and five 120mm fans. Do you think there is enouph power supply for the GPU to run smoothly or do I have to buy a better PSU and what do you suggest?
    Thanks.

I have the following system configuration:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, Windows 7/SP1 64 bit
    Kingstone Hyper-X Dual Channel 2x2GB 800Mhz
    TRUST PSU 570W
    Gigabyte X38-DQ6
WD Caviar Black 1 TB SATA Hard Drive (WD1002FAEX)
WD Caviar Black 320 GB SATA Hard Drive (WD3200KS)
    LG DVD/CD R-W w/LightScribe combo drive
The MSI N560GTX-Ti have two power connectors, the Corsair VX550 you suggested it has two rails of +12V and 41Amps each?
I was looking for the Corsair CX600 V2 Power Supply (CMPSU-600CXV2) is it better than VX550?

  • MSI GTX580 Twin Froxr III power edition problems.

Hello last night i kinda played around with afterburner and checking it with Kombustor, doing some testing in various benchmarks, at one point it said gpu throttling -3MHz
The card never exceeded 63 degrees C no artifacts at all, so now when i push reset on afterburner it goes to stock settings only kombustor shows throttling -3MHz but at 803-841 on core and 2005-20025 memory it shows no such thing but sometimes oc doesn't seem to get me all that better results, well the highest i got in heaven is 1377 stock 1260 something.
Can i have damaged the card even though it never was getting hot at all?
I am  noob at OC but i know something about it and i know as long as i don't meddle with voltage  i can+t really burn the card and also i use 70+% fan speed on the card when oc´d/gaming
have i really hurt the card?
    since combustor/furmark shows797/800, GPU-Z 800 core afterburner shows 800MHz core 2004 memory

Quote from: flobelix on 03-August-12, 04:37:42
797 to 800, yes. As far as I can see MSI says 800Mhz and not 810Mhz (http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N580GTX-TWIN-FROZR-III-15D5-POWER-EDITION-OC.html)
      Yep!
Oh yes, almost no game is currently more stressing than BF3.
so i see now that i looked at that link it shows 800 mybe i looked at another oc´d card adn got mixed up
i also wonder ewhen i raise the clock to say 846 adn memory to 2036 i sometimes get lower rsults on heaven for example than if i just oc it to tiny little 810mhz core and keep memory at 2004 how come it goes that way?
i also wonder there is a bios for my card on MSI website but i do not know if it is newer than the one on the card, it said something about stability
and thank you now i can sleep alot better knowing it is ok :D
