N560gtx-ti twin frozr 2-Black screens

Basically The card is 2 days old and Ive been having huge issues since I opened the box. When I went to download the drivers the moment the load was done The computer just froze a black screen with power to the mouse and monitor but not to the key board. I read That if you dont have power to your keyboard via Numbers lock it could be your Mobo and not your gpu. Heres my Set up
Gigabyte Ga-z68ap-d3 Mobo
Intel core i5-2500k
Patriot 4gb ram ddr3-1333MHz (2)
600w diablotek psu
Things Ive tried:Ive downloaded Drivers from the disc I was given from the Msi Website and From Nvidas Website. I also tried older Drivers But still didnt do anything. I tried different Cable heads(dvi/hdmi/avg)and different monitors.  As of right now I can only access My computer without having the perma black screen thru windows safe mode. I read that you have underclock the gpu to help ease the psu if power is the problem. I dont know much when it comes to computers I tried for like 15hours by myself with no luck so Now im here on my knees beggin haha.
Thanks

Well just bought me A 600 watt thermaltake
Thats a bit rash
Didn't you want to test first and then make such a decision ?
By all means get a better PSU but I would have first checked out the card on another known working system.

  • N560GTX - Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5

Just got a N560GTX - Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 for a custom computer.
When everything was plugged in and ready to go, I turned the computer on and everything seemed normal. However, a few seconds after the BIOS screen popped up the monitor went black.
I turned it off, then turned it back on, the screen just stays black.
The light on the power button to my monitor usually goes green when there's something on the screen, and orange when it's idling. The light stays orange when I turn on the computer.
Does this mean I need to replace my videocard?

  • MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC: Graphical Glitches/Corruption

Hello, I bought and installed an MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC video card one week ago. For the last week, it has been running perfectly, but today when I started up a game the 3D graphics began glitching and showing random stretched triangles and distorted models. While the 3D graphics are running, the monitor randomly loses signal from the video card and occasionally the program will crash with a popup bubble stating that the NVIDIA driver has recovered from a problem.
After reading through some posts here, I downloaded the MSI Afterburner program, enabled voltage monitoring, and set everything to defaults.
    The defaults are:
    Core Voltage: 1000 mV
    Core Clock : 880 MHz
    Shader Clock : 1760 MHz
    Memory Clock : 2100 MHz
When I click the button to run a Kombuster stability test, the 3D has the same graphical glitches that I saw in my games. Here is a screenshot:
    http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/ww333/MP64x2/corrupted_880.jpg
I tried lowering the Core Clock speed and retrying the test. It appears that the level of corruption is proportional to the clock speed. At the minimum clock speed of 440 MHz, the graphics are almost perfect, however a glitch or two will still occasionally show up.
Here is the test at Core Clock = 705 MHz: http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/ww333/MP64x2/corrupted_705.jpg
    and at 440 MHz: http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/ww333/MP64x2/corrupted_440.jpg
    - I've tried bumping up the Core Voltage a little to around 1020 mV, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
    - Lowering the Memory Clock also reduces glitches, but they never go away completely.
    - Even at the absolute minimum clock settings, my games still glitch and crash.
    - I do not have access to another system that I can try the video card in.

As I type this I'm starting to get corruption right on my desktop too, with random pixels changing color and black rectangles appearing on applications.
From what I've read in other threads, it seems like my power supply may not be sufficient since it has multiple 12V rails, but before I spend ~$100 on a new one I thought I'd see if anyone had any other thoughts.

I have an interesting update on my original problem.
A week after I reseated the card, the graphical glitches returned. I turned the computer off, reseated the card again, turned it on, and it began working fine.
Another week goes by with no problems, and then a couple days ago the glitches came back. Thinking it strange that the card could somehow take approximately the same amount of time to cause the same kind of bad connection, I wondered if there was something else that was causing the glitches to temporarily disappear.
I tried rebooting my computer, but the glitches remained.
I then completely turned off my computer and pulled out the power cord and left it for a couple minutes. I didn't open the case at all and made sure not to do anything that would bump any components. I turned the computer back on - glitches are gone once again.
So, it would seem that it may in fact have something to do with the power supply and not any bad connections with the card itself - at least, that's the best guess I have at the moment. I leave my computer on 24/7 so it seems like it doesn't like being left on for an entire week with this new video card installed.
Does this sound sensible? Is it possible for a power supply to slowly fail over several days, only to start working again after being powered down for a couple minutes?
Did you ever figure your issue out?  I have the exact same issue.  My system runs fine for almost a week...and then my desktop starts artifacting.  The only way it goes away is to unplug my pc (or flip the switch on PSU).  Then it runs again perfectly for nearly a week again and I start getting artifacts and the message stating that the graphics driver has stopped working and then recovered.
I also run my pc 24/7 and this problem is getting very annoying!  My PSU shouldn't be a problem as I have the PC & Cooling 750W...
Oh...almost forgot.  I've seen the same issue on 2 video cards now.  RMA'd the first one and the second one does the exact same thing...

  • Driver for N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC -l- split

I bought the card about four weeks ago and just now I had the opportunity to test it.
When I installed the video card in my PC, the device manager appears only a standard VGA video card. When I installed the driver, Device Manager showed a yellow exclamation on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 Ti saying "Windows has stopped this device becouse encounter some problems (error 43). I tried running some games but I could not open them, and with some drivers the screen was filled with artifacts
I tried various drivers on my two PCs, from one that comes with the video card to the 295.73 driver, and each time the same warning on device manager. Can anyone help solve this or may I do a RMA to MSI?

You sure your PSU has enough amps on the 12V rail and you connected the PCIE power connectors properly ?
Have you checked your Motherboard's BIOS revisions for updates regarding the later video cards ?
Your PCIE Bus interface should be 2.0 X 16. Have you reseated the card properly and disabled the on board graphics in your BIOS ?
My PSU is a SevenTeam 750ZAF with 750W. I used it to do SLI of my 9800GTX+ in the other computer and never had problems with it. I doubt that this could be my problem.
The GA-EP43-DS3L already has the ultimate BIOS and I did the update on the GA-A75M-D2H BIOS. Nothing new, the problem persist.
Anyone of my boards does not support PCI-Express 2.0 but this is not a requisites for  work of the video board like said the MSI page:
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560GTX-448-Twin-Frozr-III-Power-Edition-OC.html#?div=Feature
"PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth of previous generations of PCI express up to an astonishing 16Gb/s. This maximizes the performance of current graphics cards in today's most demanding games and applications. PCI Express 2.0 products are fully compatible with mainboards with other versions of PCI Express."

  • N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC Driver Failure when using Firefox

I just bought this card a couple of days ago.  Seems to run good with a minor exception that scares me a little.  3 or 4 times in the last 12 hours I have gotten a video driver error while using Firefox. It even happened once while posting this message...hate when that happens. The screen goes blank for a few seconds and then recovers...Says something like "Display driver stopped responding....recovered..." and it shows my driver version # in the message.
I am using the beta diver 290.36 and will switch back to the latest standard release tonight to see if it's something to do with the beta....but I don't think so...anybody?  I'll let ya know how that goes.
    I have a few questions:
    1) I've read other posts with the same/similar error.  One post said that a bios update "seemed to fix" it.  Really??..a risky BIOS update to fix a DRIVER error...hmmm.  I'll do it if I have to....but is it really necessary?
    2) Where do I find the latest bios for my card?
    3) What's up with Live Update 5....it doesn't do anything except for launch.
    4) What's the safest way to flash the bios (USB Flasher?)
    5) What are common idle and load temps for this card?
    Rig specs:
    Asus P8P67Pro B3 Rev

    Cooler Master GX Series 650W
    MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC
    Windows 7 x64
    TIA,
    Cap

Well maybe it's driver or I don't know.
But for sure, that I know is this:
    1. Was running W7 x32 with latest drivers (or if newer appeared last 1-2 days, I was using former), there was no driver recovery.
    2. Now running W7 x64 with 275.33, because latest(as said above), gave me that recovery problem.
    3. My friend uses some ASUS GT430(or GTX), also on W7 x64 with latest, also gives him recovery. 275.33 gave him none.
That is why I suspect on drivers when go sudden downclock (adaptive mode in nV CP). As I've noticed from GTX 560 Ti HWK(non-oc model), that clock from 822(850 I oc'd a bit) suddenly go to 50. Memory also, but forgot to how much.
Maybe this sudden downclock (less voltage/amp drain) triggers something in windows (the famous...forgot wat is called - also on Vista) that crashes driver. Or BSOD if that "Windows feature" is disabled.

    Hello
I received my second N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II, this card has a few physical changes such as a black PCB stiffener.

  • Do I need another RMA? N560GTX Ti Twin Frozr II/OC

    Hey folks. Hi Svet.
Question: So, uh, is there something wrong with 560 GTX Ti based cards?!
I bought the card in February. It went flaky and was RMA'd in June.
    Thread here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=149374.msg1109239#msg1109239
They sent me someone elses' repaired card, or a new card, but it hasn't lasted even 5 months of near zero use! I put in the replacement, and it seemed to work fine; ran all benchmarks and tests when I first installed it. And never gave it another thought.
I haven't had much need for 3D or gaming, I certainly haven't had time to game all summer. I mostly web browse and photo edit, and for that it's working fine. I'm mostly in linux and the only OpenGL work I do is rendering/modelling in Blender. In case you don't know, consumer 3D like 3D Vision doesn't work under linux.
Fast forward to today. Some family were over, the kids wanted to play with the cool 3D glasses, so I fire up Win7x64 and an OLD game (TOB: HL2 & Portal) and it looks horrible!
The white "fire flies" are everywhere, it looks kind of like a sports stadium filled with camera flashes going off. The textures are not only tearing, but the colors are freaky (mostly primary colors - white, magenta, blue) and tons of flickering. The textures are flickering individually. 3D or non-3D it's the same. You can still play, but of course you can't see. And eventually, it locks, and you have to reboot.
Trying to run Kombustor at just 1280x720 results in garbled video and finally the app crashes or hangs. The "furry" text is all interconnected, like there's extra faces or something.
The card has never been overclocked (beyond factory OC)... 880/1760/2100 MHz. Re: temps, in 2D it's always around 34C (and it never gets over 54C before crashing.)
The system is stable and runs just fine, until you throw something graphically-intensive at it, like gaming. Then the card goes boom.
This is with the 285.62 driver, I've also tried the 280.26 from the MSI site with the same results.
I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue, the reason I'm posting before RMAing is, what should I do here? I do NOT want to RMA this thing just to have it die again. I want a stable system, period. The card should last indefinitely, at least until it's so old no one would bother using it! And with solid caps replacing that first-to-fail point of electrolytics, this should be easily attainable! I know MSI won't ever say if there's a design flaw with the chip nor the card, but you guys are another story. Could I, for example, get an RMA unit and then flash it so it will be a slower, ordinary 560GTX? Obviously I could, what I mean is, would this make the card survive longer? I'll take stable over speed any day of the week.
As you can imagine, I'm frustrated. And POOR, which makes matters worse - I can't swap it out even if I wanted to.
Well, thanks for reading. Any help appreciated.
