N6131: 24 hrs stand-by time and bad customer servi...

I have been the Nokia fan since I bought my first Nokia cell phone 8210 in 2000, our family has used N8210, N8250 and N2100. We believed Nokia is a world leader in mobile communications before I faced problem of the N6131. The N6131 made my very disappointed for the cell phone and the customer services! Let’s me tell the whole story. Hope you would give me some good advices.
I bought the N6131 in Beijing on Oct. 1, 2006. The stand-by time of the cell phone was about 3 days when I bought it.
In May and June, 2007 I found the stand-by time of my N6131 decrease sharply from 2 days to 1.5 days while nearly no phone call and only several message. I began to contact Nokia customer service by phone and internet.
On June 27, 2007, I brought my cell phone to a Nokia customer service in Beijing. The staff examined the cellphone and said there was no problem and updated the software. They did not examine the battery as it over the warrant period, but they told me the short stand-by time is caused by the battery and suggest me buy a new one. They also said the Nokia battery can only use for merely one year!
The stand-by time of my cell phone was not better after that, so I bought a new Nokia BL-4C battery on July 28, 2007. With the new battery, the stand-by time was still no good, only 24 hours with nearly no phone call and only several message. Occasionally I found absurd enough the real stand-by time was too short! I turned off the cell phone after the battery had been fully charged, there is nearly no power when I turned on the phone 24 hours later!!!
On August 11, 2007, I brought my cell phone to the Nokia customer service in Beijing again for examination. The staff there said the cell phone should be sent to the manufacture factory to examine. I asked them whether they can be sure that the problem was cause by the phone or the battery, they said they could not. So the newly bought battery was also sent back to the manufacture factory for examination.
On August 24, 2007, I fetched back my N6131 and battery. The code of the problem is 290, the mainboard trouble. The battery was changed to a new one.
But!!! The stand-by time of the cell phone was still only 24 hours no matter with the new battery or the old one.
On September 1, 2007, I went to the Nokia customer service in Beijing the fourth times, they said the cell phone should be sent to the manufacture factory to examine again.
I could not use my cell phone in its normal condition since May this year, I bought an extra battery due to the Nokia customer service’s suggestion, I took taxi to the Nokia customer service 4 times for the examination , and I waste my many time to contact the Nokia customer service. Much less the influence to work and daily life caused by the problem. What the compensation the Nokia offers is only make the warrant period longer for the periods that cell phone return to the factory!!! Is it fair to we customer?!
I would like to present some words I have heard from the staff of Nokia Customer Service in Beijing, China when I contacted them several time:
“If Nokia lose you one customer, Nokia would not lose the whole market!”
“What loss do you have? The address book lost caused by the examining and repairing is your own responsibility. How can you say it delays your cell phone use while examining and repairing freely for you?”
“We asked you to buy an extra battery which can help you have one more battery to use. Coming our Nokia Customer Service several more times helps you have more chance to excise for health.”
“You could not buy anything if you would not choose Nokia cell phone next time.”
“What we can do is only like this, if you are not satisfy, you may contact 315, the Chinese Customer Right Protection Association for solution.”
ps. hope this post meet the requirment of the Disscussion board and will not be removed. Thank you.

Its just the phones are constantly evolving while the batteries aren't.Better screen, better processor, better sounds and extensive multimedia tasks.....batteries are left behind...it wasn't changed at all

  • Another lost connection and abysmal customer servi...

Sorry about my username (registered today), but that is mild compared to how I feel.
I have spent most of the day trying to report a faulty line - cannot make or recieve calls. Every time I have tried to report the fault or speak to someone, I have been directed to a ridiculous robot 'help' srevice which has tried repeatedly to tell me how to test my appliances. It seems that the customer service phone number has been masked at every attempt to find my way through the maze of unhelpful 'helpful solutions'. Eventually, after finding the relevant number I spent 6 minutes listening to another robot before being told that I was now in a queue estimated to have an average 5 minutes further wait before a representastive became available! All this at eyewatering mobile phone non inclusive tariff cost! Eventually I tried to log the fault by email explaining that I wanted the line fixed and was certain after trying every test available that it was not an equipment or internal issue. Some time later an email came back saying 'I did ran a test on your line and cannot find an external fault - however, if you report a fault, we will send a technician'. I had reported the fault!
So I sent another email insisting that there was a fault and please therefore log it and send a technician. No reply, so eventually (now 7pm) I phoned customer services at mobile phone rate costs again and this time got through in under 10 minutes. The operative then wanted to go through equipment checks again regardles of my request for a engineer's visit: eventually, she said there seemed to be an external fault on the line and she would log a request for an engineer to investigate. I was told I could expect a visit by 5pm next Wednesday (5 days)! I asked if there was any way to escalate the process or any other assistance available and was told no.
How was the fault diagnosed differently each time? Having now looked at the BT customer service agreement, it seems that the fault should be dealt with within 3 working days of being reported, so since I reported it this morning (Fri) surely it should at the latest be fixed by Wednesday morning? Also, what about the cost of mobile phone calls, firstly to BT and secondly any other calls which are now incurred without my my all inclusive BT calls? She didn't mention the offer for compensation which is detailed in BT's Ts and Cs.
Let alone the time and anguish I have endured today. What is more frustrating is that this also happened earlier this year and I was given the same excuses and run around then. Also, BT have never fulfilled their promise to look into my pathetic download speed of .26mb/s, again trying to blame internal wiring issues which have been positively disproven.
All this after 10 years of good natured custom from me - until now.....SHAME ON YOU BT!

Glad to see you've calmed down a bit after a sleep - I was the same as were many others
For the phone line, all you can do is wait until the engineer turns up on Wednesday. If he doesn't resolve the problem then you can escalate this to the mods of this forum. The mods are the only BT people on the forum and they can only get involved after a certain amount of prior fault finding. If you need to contact the mods, get your account info and fault number from your online account details and include them and a link to this thread. (Don't post account details here - only in the email to the mod). You will then get a reply within 3 days (but often faster, mine was half a day) and the mod who contacts you will take ownership of the problem until resolved.
As I said before, if there is a phone problem (noise etc) then this will kill broadband very quickly and it doesn't matter how many resets you get, the speed will quickly drop again. It does this because the exchange is continually monitoring your connection and every time it sees noise or a reset on your hub it slows down the connection until such time as it is stable. It will then slowly speed up again as it maintains stability. This happens naturally and it will typically recover a lot of the speed within 3 to 5 days. If you've been told to wait for 10 days then this is probably after a noise reset at the exchange and the line is seen as a 'new' broadband connection again and therefore a longer retraining period. However, as before, if the phone line is bad it will quickly reduce to 'dial-up' speeds again.
If you go over to the broadband forum from the link I posted before and post your info then some of the experts (mostly customers, not BT) will come along and take you through a process of eliminating where the errors are and how to get them resolved. If you want to see how this process works have a look at my thread Here. I had a similar problem with the same speed as you and the forum and finally mods helped me to recover back to 11Mbps down/1Mbps up. My problem was finally identified as a line fault.
The main advice I'd give for now is:
Wait for the engineer to fix the phone (he may also reset your broadband if lucky).
Contact mods if it isn't fixed.
DO NOT unplug your modem/router unless necessary as this is seen as a fault and restarts the training period.
Read my original post with similar problem.
Post your own stats on broadband forum and take the experts advice - they'll be along soon
DO NOT call India - this will confuse things - leave it to the engineer and then the mods if necessary.
Good luck and ask again if you want more info.

  • Problematic Motherboard MSI Z68a GD80 (B3) and bad customer service

I opened a support ticket at MSI's support site (http://support.msi.com/index.php?mod=questions&dop=reply_list&question_no=102573)  and still waiting for a response since last week.     Not only that, but there is no way you can talk to customer support and you can only submit tickets online.   What if your PC is not working because of the MSI motherboard?  How is then the customer able to talk to customer support?!  eh!!!?!?!???
To describe the issues I experience I will copy-paste some of the info from my existing support ticket....
Recently I noticed that my new PC's performance degraded considerably, without me having made any changes to its settings, software or hardware. After extensive testing I realised that the RAM was faulty so I replaced it with new DIMMs which I tested again and work correctly. However after replacing with new RAM  (memeory is in the "approved" list of the motherboard) the PC's performance is still very slow, especially when it comes to hard disk access. So I tested all, memory, hard disks (checkdisk, defrag, and also used WesternDigital utilities to check all disks) and all tests came back fine. I also checked all BIOS settings and re-installed all Motherboard drivers to ensure that the issue was not due to a damaged driver file. But none made a difference. So given that everything appears to be working correctly and all tests for individual components come back as normal, I uspect that it's the motherboard to blame.
In addition to the above the PC has now started behaving strange too: when rebooting pc restarts..and then turns off and then on again and off again. ...or it restarts but then does not boot at all.  Just now i turned it off and then on again and the pc behaves as if it boots up but nothing is showing on the screen. not even the bios.
Once, when i turned on the PC and when logged into windows I got a popup saying "you have booted from your second BIOS rom. Please update your BIOS using Live Update". I then went to live update and it said i am running the latest BIOS.
The issues exist also outside the OS.  I also tried to boot from Norton Ghost DVD and take a backup from there and see the backup speed (which normally takes an hour). It took 2-7 times more, depending on the PC's "mood". I also tried booting from a DVD into Windows PE (pre-installation environment) and tried to take a disk backup from there too.   Same issue everywhere.
I did various tests with Western Digital to eliminate the hard disk, and all come out fine.  I even formatted the hard drive (low level format) and reinstalled a fresh OS.  The problem was still there and the mouse pointed would stutter when the disk was active.
Another thing I noticed which might help: sometimes disk to pc/disk-over-network file copying works at a reasonable speed. But local-disk to local-disk copying is very slow and affects the mouse pointer and overall pc performance.
I use this PC for business so it's critical that this is fixed asap or that I am sent a replacement motherboard promptly before I send this one back so that I am not left without a working PC.
    Any suggestions?

Well on the MSI UK website that is the only support which is listed for motherboards!  Global or not, that's the one listed there.
Yes, I know.  But there is an E-Mail Contact listed for RMA procedures.  When you go to the Global support site:

... you'll find the same E-Mail contact address listed under the heading

In fact the reseller has an online system specifically for returns and as per UK distant selling regulations their system does not accept any returns and won't allow you to make a returns request after 28 days from the date of purchase.  ..and given that I've been dealing with these issues for 10-14 days weeks now I am not sure they will allow a returns request.   But I will contact them and see what they will say.
    Yes, contact them.

  • DSL speed issue and bad customer service

I am having horrible issues with DSL speed and connectivity. I am constantly being kicked off the internet, or it runs so slow that it times out. I called Verizon because after a month of this issue, I've had enough. I attend online college, so this is a more than "I just can't surf Facebook". After speaking to the representative, I just was so frusrated I hung up on him. I am pursuing a degree in IT. I'm not stupid when it comes to working with computers. I have one laptop, and three smart phones that use the wi-fi, but very rarely are they ever all on at the same time. I do not have the laptop wired into the modem. I know that using a wireless connection will result in a slower speed than a wired one, but not drastically. My speed test results are constantly fluctuating, but they are typically low. I am subscribed to the High Speed Internet Enhanced plan. My last speed test showed a ping of 132, download of 1.05, and upload of .63 (screen shot saved). At this point, between the constant problems on the landline for years and now being told to "close web browsers and delete files to free up you HD" as a method of solving this issue, I am really fed up with Verizon and their service. My landline is only established for the DSL. If this issue can't be resolved I can find internet elsewhere.

exchange may be saturated... request that they check the dslam and possibly reroute you to a less busier one. i live in a rural town outside of dallas and went through issues similar to yours more often than not.  after consistently hounding verizon to the point that my "issue" was esclated all the way up to corporate, the matter was somewhat resolved but i ask... did i really have to go that far to get things fixed? hope this bit of info helps.

  • DROID 3 KEYBOARD AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Hey everyone,
I didn't seen a location for Droid 3 discussions so I'm here. The keyboard on my Droid randomly stopped working one day. Certain buttons either don't enter, enter multiple times, or bring up a completely different screen. I went to a Verizon store and received terrible service. The employee was more concerned with chatting with her coworkers than helping me. She proceeded to tell me that I just need to "pop my battery once a week to rest my phone" and that it was "working fine." As soon as I walked out of the store I tested the keyboard. Still faulty! Has this keyboard problem happened to anyone else? I need to find out how to actually receive help as well and get my phone working.
Mind you, I've only had this phone a few months.
    Thanks!
    -Sam

I want to add to my earlier comment from before...
Going to the local Verizon store to get this fixed, or to get their help is totally worthless.  You have to talk to someone via the phone.  The store employees will look at you like you speak a whole other language.... Another thing I would like to add is that my problems with this issue became much worse with two separate phones after I went through an xray machine at the airport on two separate occasions.  I have no idea if it's just a coincidence or if something about an x-ray machine messes around with the phone.  I just don't know.  But it's frustrating.
I did follow the advice of the Verizon Customer Service guy in this thread that said to load the phone in safe mode (ahhh, just like working with the crappy Windows PC) and I did see that it worked better in that mode. Again... this is the physical keyboard I am talking about... not the virtual.  I need the physical keyboard which is the only reason I bought this phone.  When the physical keyboard starts wigging out its upsetting and my time becomes wasted.  I have to delete text that I never typed because the keyboard is adding and deleting things that I never typed.  I have since deleted 90% of all my apps that I've added.  That was about 9 apps btw.  Not very many.  Even paid apps.  I was sorry to see them go but I need a working functional keyboard.  Out of the box the thing works great, but over time it starts to get Alzheimer's or it gets schizophrenia.  Both are not pleasant to deal with.
This text was not typed via the phone - it was at my computer.  Time saved with a working keyboard was approx 20 minutes.  Time = $$

  • Unusable broadband and unacceptable customer servi...

I switched to BT a few months ago and had been consistently getting speeds of 2Mb, they promised me it would be at least 2.5 but i was not worried as 2 was perfectly acceptable. Suddenly, out of the blue this speed dropped to 8kbps (yes 0.008 meg) last week. There were no internal changes to anything connected to my phone lines yet when i spoke to the customer service department they went through the standard script of change the filters, wire it direct, plug it into the test socket etc etc. They then ran a test on the line and assured me that the line was fine and the fault must be in my home and to see if it improved by the next day. Next day funnily enough no improvement so we then went through the same change the filters, wire it direct, test on the line script, the issue was raised to the engineering department (i thought this might mean a man coming to fix it, but it simply meant talking to a different person in Bangalore). They then gave me the same patronising change the filters saga before running another test on the line and it coming up with a network fault and raising the issue to the next level and talling me that i would need to wait for them to phone back in the next few days. After a few days of still unusable broadband they decided to reset the line and told me to wait 4 days for it to gradually increase, after 2 days i am still at under 80kbps but have to wait even longer.
The customer service has been shocking, I am trying to run a business and it is nigh on impossible with internet speeds that would be on a par with a dial up modem.
Does anybody have any idea of anything i can do, anyone i can talk to to try and sort this out as BT themselves don't seem to have the ability to help me.

Latest  speed and ADSL stats posted below, still no improvement 4 days after my second reset. Any ideas? i've reported it to the online form and am fed up with calling bangalore who just tell me that they will do some tests on the line and then reset it again.

  • Secure Store Service Application takes a lot of time and does not create the database

    Hi everybody,
I was trying to configure sharepoint performance point and I was following the instruction. After I created the performance point services application I tried to creat the secure store service application. When I do this, the progress window stays open forever
even after 2 hours. If I close the window, I will see that the secure store service and proxy app is created and the application pool also is created in IIS but the database is not and the application service is stopped. even when I want to delete it, it's
the same story and the progress window stays until I close it manually. Nothing has been logged in the event viewer because it doesn't throw any exceptions.
I don't think that I have permission issues on the database server side because I have created the performance point service app and the database is there. I have used the same credentials to crete the secure store.
I have restarted the secure store service and IIS for many times and even the server itself.
I'm wondering if anybody has had this issue because I couldn't find anything on the web.
    Thanks,
    Edwin

  • Time difference between local time and server time

    Hi Guys,
I am currently experiencing a time difference of 40 minutes between the local time and the current server time.
The local time seems to be 40 minutes slower than my current time.
Path for Local Time : CMC -> home -> servers -> input.file repository sever -> metrics tab.  (Under the category of Installed on machine peacok, there is a local time.
Question is how can i sync the local time with my current server time?
Let me know if more info is required.
    Rgds
    Collin

    Hi Collin,
Under  CMC >Home >Input FRS , the local time shown is current time of BO Server.
Since CMC is web-based, any date, time value will be coming from BO Server box.
u2022     In case your system and BO server is in same time zone  then update the date-time of BO Server
u2022     In case your system and BO server is in different time zone then check with IT team to figure out the BO Server will be maintained in which time zone.
u2022     If current requirement is specific to some report then you can add 40 min in all date value in report to get the desired result.
    Thanks,
    Sushil

  • Time drifting forward on server

I have a dual G5 XServer running 10.4.10. The problem is t he time drifts forward by several minutes each week
"Set Date & Time automatically" is checked in System Preferences > Date & Time and the NTP server is set to Apple Americas.
If I uncheck, then recheck the "Set Date & Time automatically" box the time re-syncs and shows correctly. I believe the time also re-syncs in good order afetr a restart, but I can't test that right now.
There are no NTP related errors in the system log.
FWIW, this server runs with a local Netinfo admin logged in at all times.
    Thanks for any advice,
    b.

You might want to take a look at the following article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303731
Dropping minpoll (to c. 6) and maxpoll (to c. 12) is sometimes suggested, but that can be impolite. I'd try the iburst knob here.
Here are some public ntp servers:
    http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/WebHome
You can also set up a local time-base on your network, as there are GPS-based and other ntpd server appliances available.

  • My iPhone 5 battery drain with in 3 hours when I use cellular network on and stand by time is only 2 and half day

I Bought iphone 5 from USA  when I came to India I started it then I noticed the battery stand by time is only 3 days. And when I use cellular data then it is live only for 2 and half hour. I bought this phone in January till now I am having the same problem. I have done all the thing whatever the support center told me about restore and all stuff. After that they told me to visit any apple store but there are no store in India and I'm helpless. For my iPhone only I can't go abroad to that country where stores are. Before I used to believe that apple products are the best but this iPhone has just disappointed me. You know my friend making fun of my mobile because they are using samsung product.
Pleade do some thing for me I have left only 2 month of warranty. other wise I will have to through this on dustbin because everywhere it is insulting me.

Sorry, but the warranty for the iPhone is only valid in the country where you bought the device.
In most of the cases 3rd party apps or settings caused the battery to drain faster than before the new software has been set up. Sometimes the mail app tried to connect to the mail server over and over again, deleting and setting up the mail account can solve this problem.
In other cases social media apps did similar things to the phone.
Here are some suggestions for getting back the normal battery life, maybe they are helpful for your problem with your iPhone 5 as well.

    what is BAPI?
BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
A BAPI is remotely enabled function module ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
You can make your function module remotely enabled in attributes of Function module but
A BAPI are standard SAP function modules provided by SAP for remote access. Also they are part of Businees Objest Repository(BOR).
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
Reading instances of SAP business objects
GetList ( ) With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
GetDetail() With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method. BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( ) The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( ) Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( ) The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.

    Bdc to Bapi
The steps to be followed are :
    1. Find out the relevant BAPI (BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE for VA02).
    [for VA01 use BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2]
    2. Create a Z program and call the BAPi (same as a Funtion module call).
    2. Now, if you see this BAPi, it has
    -> Importing structures.
eg: SALESDOCUMENT: this will take the Sales order header data as input.
    -> Tables parameters:
eg: ORDER_ITEM_IN: this will take the line item data as input.
    Note :
Only specify fields that should be changed
Select these fields by entering an X in the checkboxes
Enter a U in the UPDATEFLAG field
Always specify key fields when changing the data, including in the checkboxes
The configuration is an exception here. If this needs to be changed, you need to complete it again fully.
Maintain quantities and dates in the schedule line data
    Possible UPDATEFLAGS:
    U = change
    D = delete
    I = add
    Example
    1. Delete the whole order
    2. Delete order items
    3. Change the order
    4. Change the configuration
    Notes
    1. Minimum entry:
You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
You must always enter key fields for changes.
You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
    2. Commit control:
The BAPI does not run a database Commit, which means that the application must trigger the Commit so that the changes are read to the database. To do this, use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI.
For further details... refer to the Function Module documentation for the BAPi.
    Bapi to VB(Visual Basic)
Long back I had used the following flow structure to acheive the same.
    Report -> SM59 RFC destination -> COM4ABAP -> VB.exe
my report uses the rfc destination to create a COM session with com4abap. com4abap calls the vb.exe and manages the flow of data between sap and vb exe.
    You need to have com4abap.exe
If com4abap is installed you will find it in sapgui installatin directory , C:\Program Files\SAPpc\sapgui\RFCSDK\com4abap.
else refer OSS note 419822 for installation of com4abap
after making the settings in com4abap to point to the vb program and setting up rfc destination in sm59 to point to com4abap session , you can use the following function modules to call the vb code.
for setting up com4abap and rfc destination please refer to the documentation for com4abap.
    Invoke NEW DCOM session
    call function 'BEGIN_COM_SESSION'

The steps to be followed are :
    1. Find out the relevant BAPI (BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE for VA02).
    [for VA01 use BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2]
    2. Create a Z program and call the BAPi (same as a Funtion module call).
    2. Now, if you see this BAPi, it has
    -> Importing structures.
eg: SALESDOCUMENT: this will take the Sales order header data as input.
    -> Tables parameters:
eg: ORDER_ITEM_IN: this will take the line item data as input.
    U = change
    D = delete
    I = add
    Example
    1. Delete the whole order
    2. Delete order items
    3. Change the order
    4. Change the configuration
    Notes
    1. Minimum entry:
You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
You must always enter key fields for changes.
You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
    2. Commit control:
The BAPI does not run a database Commit, which means that the application must trigger the Commit so that the changes are read to the database. To do this, use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI.
For further details... refer to the Function Module documentation for the BAPi.

  • Provide me the links to learn BAPI and BADI

Please send me the links to learn BAPI and BADI
    Thanks in Advance,
    Viven

    Hai Viven
Go through the following Document & Links
    Bapi to create customer master
    BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA
    BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1
Or you can use FM SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL
    what is BAPI?
BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
I have answered this question before..

Java Connector(JCO) can call not only BAPI's but also the function modules which are remotely enabled..
BAPI's as i said earlier are remotely enabled function modules..
Hence, JCO can call also BAPI's(n not only BAPI's as u mentioned).
