N70 compatible with BH-200 wireless headset?

I've checked the compatibility list of the BH-200 wireless headset, and it doesn't list the Nokia N70 despite every other Series 60 smartphone being listed as compatible (and numerous others too).
However, the online shop when browsing for wireless headsets after chosing accessories compatible with the N70 DOES list the BH-200.
I'm confused. Is the BH-200 compatible with the N70 or not? And if not, why (given that it's compatible with virtually every other Series 60 smartphone)?
Many thanks in advance.

I had an N70 at my job for a few days and it worked fine with my new bh200. I have a 6270 for normal use. I also use the bh200 with my pc as well. It is my third bluetooth headset and it is by far the best one I have had to date.
cheers.

Is my original iPad compatible with iHome iDM12 wireless speakers?  I am having trouble pairing.  iPad sees device but does not connect.

It should be it the iHome supports the bluetooth profiles that the iPod supports. See:

Try resetting the iHome if it was previusly paired to another device.

The question might be better asked the other way around. LG would be your best source since it is its product.

  • Is the WRE54G range extender compatible with the WRT300N wireless router?

I bought a WRT300N wireless router, hoping it would give me better range than my old hub.  It's pretty good, but I still have dead spots in my apartment.  I'd like to buy a WRE54G range extender, but I don't know if it's compatible.  Anyone try this?

i don't think that the wre54g would work with the n-router .. rather i would suggest you to setup a wap200 or wap54gp wired to the router and configured as an AP ... if it still falls short of the wireless range .. configure another one in a repeater mode ...

did you update your phone to the latest firmware for your phone currently it is v30......but it just got released so it may not be avaliable for all product codes just yet. also is your phone unbranded./unlocked if that is the case then you have a better change of updating than with a provider.

you can also try FOTA from your phone by plugging *#0000# on your home screen and see if your phone can pulll the updates.

  • BlackBerry Wireless Headset HS-700 Review

Finally got to play with the BlackBerry® Wireless Headset HS-700
First question that eveyone wants to know, what is in the box?
    Pic taken with my Torch
    What is in the box
The packaging was nice, putting the HS-700 on a nice floating pedestal display and hiding the contents of the accessories, But we don’t care about it now after being been opened. Let’s get to the good stuff. The HS-700 comes with two loops of different sizes, if you are lucky like me, the long one will be a spare. I knew from my HS-500 that the pointy ear gel was the way to go. Four Ear gels should offer enough choices to fit many ears. The HS-700 is as comfortable as the HS-500. The charger might be a disappointment to some as it is a wall unit only with a short USB cord. I don’t know about you, but I use mine in the vehicle about 96% of the time and an auto charger would have been a better option.
    First pairing and use
First I turned on the HS-700 by twisting the ear piece and it was nice to hear a voice explaining what to do for pairing. I find the twist to power on a much welcomed feature. I cant tell you how many times I have left other devices on all day long. Second power up and you are greeted by a voice “welcome, you are now connected, you can use your headset now”.
The top control button is nice to get to the voice command prompt, but you can also quickly tap on the outer earpiece to answer a call. There are more tap commands in the manual, but doubt I will ever use them.
    Voice Commands
This is a nice feature, I can knot tell you how many times I have thought that StarTrek like actions would be making it to the real world. Tap the top voice command button and say “what can I say?” and a list is given to you. OMG it is Sweet! Why look for a manual if it can be put into the device. If you have a BerryBerry smart phone, you know that there is an Options area on it. So click the voice command button and start talking to it. You get a Battery command with an amount in hours and minutes left, Redial, Call last and Play. When playing music you can ask what can I say, and get enough commands to distract you while driving. See what happens if you don’t answer it, LOL. When listening to music, you will get a notification with a voice with who is calling and the handset will ring as well. And how do you answer it? Just say Answer or Ignore, it is totally hands free to answer a call.
    Call quality
Well its hard to do better than the actual device you are paired with. The Torch sounds great with calls and so does the HS-700. I drive a truck and even with the louder than car interior noise, I find the volume and call quality great. Music play was nice to hear even though it is in mono. Nice bass and clean treble. Another welcomed feature is listening to music from the last song I was listening to before, it just picks up where I left off. BBM notifications play along with music is a nice addittion.
    Design
This is a tough one, almost all of the head sets start looking the same after a while, but placing this next to a Torch or a Bold and you can see where they got the design from. Similar faux black leather, brushed aluminum and black plastic, makes for a nice match. Simple click controls with voice options are a nice plus. It is almost like having an assistant with you.
So big thumbs up on the HS-700 over all. RIM, I hope to see you out do yourself again on the next design.

AH!! you beat me to it! I was just about to post my review!
     /Shakes Fist!
So Instead of starting another thread, i'll add here if you dont mind.
The only thing I would add to this is what I mentioned to you earlier. The voice commands allow you to play/stop/pause your songs aswell. The audio quality is exceptional considering its bluetooth streaming. It has auto volume increase which works great when you enter a noisy area.
The only issue I had was I had to move my audio files from a subfolder to my actual music folder in my media card for it to pickup the voice commands... but thats understandable.
The only down-side to my entire experience is the earpieces.. the plastic hooks were not comfortable for me and didnt feel secure. but the Medium size rubber bud seems to work quite well and feels quite secure (short of wearing it for a rollercoaster ride)
All said and done, great review Knotty... I personally give the HS-700 a 9.5

  • HS-44 Stereo Headset compatible with 3109 phone?

I noticed on the Nokia website that the compatibillity with headsets can depend on the last software update of your phone. I have the latest software 5.30 on my 3109 so now I'm wondering if I could use the HS-44 headset on this one.
If not, is there any other "in-ear-plug" headset available for this type that allows you to scroll trough your mp3's and answers phonecalls? ( find the older/normal earplug headset less comfortabel for my ears.)
Thanks in advance for the advice!
    Art

I haven't given up yet.   Here's what Nokia tech support said:
Although it is not listed on the web address I am sure that the Nokia Hs-49 wired headset will function properly with your Nokia 6650
Armed with that information, I looked up all compatible phones with the HS-49 headset, since my real goal is to find a working adapter for the Nokia 6650 Fold.
The HDA-11 2.5mm to 2.5mm TTY adapter apparently is compatible with the Nokia 6650 Fold.  Nokia Tech Support says when queried specifically about this adapter.
"I am pleased to advise you that our Nokia HDA-11 Adapter is compatible with your Nokia 6650 Fold."
My real goal, however, is to be able to use my Sennheiser headphones (3.5mm jack) with this phone.
Googling the HDA-11 has produced this thread on AT&T:
    http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/message?board.id=nokia&message.id=48856
Note that the HDA-11 doesn't do the 2.5mm to 3.5mm job directly, it just provides a 2.5mm jack that you can ostensibly plug a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter into.  Since I already have one of these (I bought it when I bought the phone naively thinking that it would allow me to use my headphones) , I've ordered the HDA-11 and will see if the thread listed above also applies to the 6650 Fold.
It's amazing to me that Nokia doesn't provide any way to adapt a standard 3.5mm headphone to this jack.
It's also incredible that they list virtually nothing compatible with the headphone jack on this phone on their website.
Equally frustrating is that Nokia seems to have no interest in fixing any of the above.
Stay tuned to this thread.  I'll let y'all know when I get the HDA-11 jack + the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter lets me use my headphones with this poor excuse for a music phone.

  • Unified/Documented problems with Creative WOW Wireless/wired headsets

This thread is to properly present the problems encountered with the WOW Wireless/wired headsets. I will be linking this post to the facebook page as well as World of Warcraft's facebook and Blizzards facebook if I can find one. Also Lucas Arts and THX. Lets see if we can get some eyes on this and move forward. If you frequent a popular site where others are discussing this please bring this thread to light there also.
If it continues unrespondid to my next step will be to notify consumerist.com.
Please note I am to date not having these issues but they seem to be common enough of an issue. (I suspect we may be able to find our own solution also.)
When posting Please follow the below template.
    Problem Description:
A non superlative description of your problem. Please just the facts here so we can all be very clear. Include any software tested with such as Ventrillo or WOW or games used that exhibited the problem.
    Problem Impact:
Here is where we want to share how this makes you Feel. Describe the negative impact to your leisure or professional time with this product.
    System:
Make/Model: (IE homegrown or Dell Optiplex xxxxx)
OS: (Operating System. Please include 64bit or 32 Bit.)
Processor: (i7920 or C2d6600 or whatever you have.)
Memory: (Amount of ram installed and running in the system.)
Video card: (What is the model of the video card in question? Memory installed on it? Manufacturer and such.)
Motherboard: (If you know the model. For instance. MSI x58M.)
Harddrives: (How many drives. What speed if you have them.)
Case: (what is the case? Normally I wouldn't ask but we are talking about Wireless transmission Who knows if that could matter right?)
Environment: (Where is the Wireless Dongle. About how far are you from it. Is something between you and the dongle normally? if so what is it? Do you plug it into the back usb port of your system behind a military grade metal desk from the 40's? That could matter.)
    Troubleshooting:
This is where we describe in as much detail as you can what was done. Lets keep this to facts and try and remove feelings from this portion.
I can only hope with this information I or others can come up with a good solution for us all. Or Creative labs and their associated partners involved on this headset can drive this to a resonable conclusion for us all.
I do want to remind everyone here that we are in a new consumer technology area. There WILL be problems. Creative labs had to know this. Blizzard had to know this. And THX/Lucas Arts had to know this. How this problem is handled will impact all three of these organizations. To what extent is yet to be seen.

    Problem Description:
Voice randomly becomes unintelligible and extremely distorted (think 70's robotic, accept you can't understand it) while in Ventrillo. My brother and I both have the same model headphones and we BOTH have this problem.
    Problem Impact:
I feel cheated out of $119.00 + tax. The main reason for these headphones is for raids and they do not perform the task they were designed for. My guildmates have to be tired of telling me and my brother " Dude your headphones screwed up again." I have sent tickets in and the solutions provided were lame. Reinstall software... mute the microphone? Seriously? All of which did nothing. By the 3rd Email I got nothing at all. Newegg has tons of complaints about this on their site and creative reponded to 1 complaint that was not about this issue, but skipped all with this problem which tells me they do not want to deal with it. I have been a LONG time customer and supporter of creative. This is making me reconsider. If I can't find a solution soon I will return them.
    System:
    System:
    Make Model: Homebuilt
    OS: Windows Vista 64 bit
    Processor: Core 2 duo E8400
Memory: 8 gigs of Corsair Dominator 1600 mhz
    Video Card: 2 x GeForce GTX 260
    Motherboard: XFX 3-way SLI Motherboard
Hard Drives 2 300 gig Western digitals 7200rpm
    Case:Thermaltake Cosmos S
    Enviroment: Wired WOW headset
    Troubleshooting:
So far the only make shift solution I have found to temporarily fix the problem is to disconnect and reconnect Ventrillo. The problem will definately happen again but buys a little time between distortion. The only firmaware I have found is for the wireless headset not the wired. The auto update feature says all software is current.

  • BH-100 headset (bluetooth) compatible with PC?

    Hi!
I want to know if my BH-100 headset (bluetooth) is compatible with my PC (at least like a microphone)?
I've have just bought a new bluetooth USB adapter for my PC. It recognizes my headset but I don't see services available for my headset....
    Thanks for the help!

Best to check that your Bluetooth adaptor supports Hands Free Profile for voice and is not just data transfer.
If it is a USB adaptor, is the pc sound card linked to the USB port?
    Hope this helps

  • Wireless headset with FM Radio

Is it possible to use the wireless headset with the FM radio.  It wants me to insert the audio plug to turn on the radio.

I've used the bluetooth transmitter that comes with the Plantronics BackBeat 906 headset. I just plug it into the 3.5 mm jack, pair with phone then start the FM application. Works great for me on a Droid x.
